    I can't imagine how much work would have gone into creating a guide for this game. Well done.

      It was a handful to say the least, thank you Mike!

    As always thank you for all of these classes. Gary, Fluff and Blaze are great helpers. I always try to watch your classes whenever I can.

      It's a great game but one which is perfectly suited for an in depth walkthrough like we cover.

      @@VideoGames101 hey do you take suggestions? My two favorite NES games are Destiny of an Emperor and L’Emperor. First one is an amazing (and often overlooked) RPG by Capcom that makes grinding exp simple with the “all-out” feature and the second is a Napoleon themed strategy game by KOEI.

    Mondo Fungo sounds like a late 70s jazz fusion band.

      Ha definitely. Makes me think of Oingo Boingo now that we mention bands.

      I have great news... the earworm called "In the Summertime" was a 1970 hit by "Mungo Jerry" (which is basically those two words smashed together with "Jerry" after it).

    This is one of the odd NES games I really have no exposure with. Taxan worked on very different games, didn't they? 8 Eyes was a fair bit of fun. The magic system in this game is rather unique and I love seeing something new like that.,

      Yeah just the very fact that you can basically teach yourself the entire book of all 35 spells at the start of the game (if you know the proper "terms") is pretty novel and refreshing.

    I still say "wakey wakey" when I wake my dog or cat up. As a direct result of borrowing this game from a friend for a month as a kid. Never got anywhere whatsoever, in the days before the internet this game was beyond frustrating.
    But wakey wakey for some reason stuck with me.

      Ha nice, and I know exactly what you mean as I've gleaned expression and things like that from games I played as a kid which stuck with me for life.

    9 out of 10? you're being kind... a 10/10 when played before the internet, without the manual or this vid :)

      Ha spoken like someone who knows this game well so that's good to hear! Yeah I try to factor in to some extent the assumption that you're using this guide with the difficulty, plus the included saving ability is huge. If you proceed slowly (bearing in mind you lose hunger and water constantly), keep your shields topped off, etc. it's very doable.

    Sometimes you demonstrate a game that looks like I'd like to try, but now that Nintendo has caused pretty much every ROM site to shut down, I probably never will.

    • @VideoGames101
      @VideoGames101  2 місяці тому

      Yeah at least if you're going to shut that element of gaming down, make sure the games are available in some capacity. It's not good when decent games from the past just seem to disappear from existence.

      Remember what they did and then don't support them. I haven't bought any of their garbage since the wii. They just want you to buy their garbage again.

    You only beat it once? There is more than one ending though 😂

    I feel like it's a bit of a red flag for a game any time a walkthrough video spends the first 20 minutes out of a total of 80, most of it sped up, just preparing to leave the first town. That 9/10 rating isn't messing around.

    • @VideoGames101
      @VideoGames101  Місяць тому +1

      Yeah, strictly speaking and unfortunately it's kind of necessary unless you're a serious pro at this game.
