Trey Celeya, the drummer for Invent, Animate, said this in the liner notes of the album: "... 'Luna' was written in honor of my late brother Christopher Scaff. You are loved and missed. This song is for you. Rest in peace, Bubba." Beyond touching, knowing that.
I have a close friend of mine who had to go away for almost a year and half. I couldn't talk to her or see her for that length of time and it really took a toll on me. This song reminds me of what it was like for me not being able to see her or talk to her when everything came crashing down on me. She was usually the one to pull me out when it came to stuff like that but she couldn't be there for me when stuff happened to me. This reminds me of what it was like without her. One of my favorites by these guys and I just discovered them.
***** That's a good thing man. It's what makes you human. It means the world to these guys that this song has that kind of impact on you. I know these guys personally and fans like you are the ones that keep them going.
Triston Williams I always relate to any of the music that I listen to. I always find bands at times in my life where I hit a dead end and don't know where to go. I get bored with the music that I have and search for something else. And in this case, I found Invent, Animate. I like what these guys got goin here and I want to see what else they do. Give my regards to the band and tell them they have a new fan who loves their music.
@@TragicHeroRecords much love for you guys! I discovered this band a few days ago by accident on Spotify and I'm loving every single song. I practice unclean vocals and I appreciate the vocals a lot as well as the instruments. Oh, and of course, the lyrics are so good! These guys need more recognition ♥
One of the greatest songs of all time PERIOD. You can't change my mind. Emotional masterpiece. Did everything I needed when one of my best friends took his own life.
@@blackpeople7927 They don't, though. Going through lots of their vids tonight and the Northlane comments are getting annoying as hell. Some other bands are similar, as in, in the same genre. IA has a very distinct sound, though.
This song hits me in the heart because I lost my brother to leukemia. May not be the same situation but, I lost my brother too, so this song is exactly what I need to hear. It's so beautiful and so meaningful.
I don't ever comment on things like this...but I've always loved IA, and this song. I was always drawn to it in fondness of my own brother. And now, this song is entirely different for me: my brother committed suicide last week. He was my hero. These lyrics are the thoughts in my mind now. I love you Mike. To anyone feeling fear, sadness, or hopelessness: there is always one more day, always. A bad day is not a bad life. Please. Please - reach out to someone you love; they want to hear about what makes the world dark for you. It's not shameful. They would do anything to keep you here. Please.
I am so sorry for your loss I understand that is just something you can never fully heal from :( I don’t know what I would do if I lost my brother, I’ve had many nightmares about it over the years. He’s the reason I am the way I am, he provides guidance and advises me on things because of our huge 12 year age gap, I would’ve never gotten into Metalcore or any of these genres without him and music legitimately saved me from a life of depression and self hate. Keep on going man and live life to your fullest, im sure your brother would appreciate seeing you happy from wherever he is ^^
@@SuicideSeason4545 I appreciate the kind words, man. It's been a year, and things are better these days. I still obviously miss him dearly, but at least the emotional seas are calmer these days. Cherish your brother - my brother was 7 years older than I, and sounds like I had a very similar relationship to him as you do with your brother. Same with your comments on music: this and other like-genres have always been a big part of my life for the bravery the genres have in confronting some very relatable, although often, overlooked-truths of the human experience we all encounter. It's why I posted my original comment to this song: I always identified with this song, due to my close relationship with my brother...but when my brother committed suicide, knowing this song was about the loss of a brother to suicide...it instantly hit even that much more powerfully. Songs like this got me through the loss of my brother, as they reminded me that I'm not alone in the experience - that more of us than we like to admit/account for have experienced similar or, unfortunately, worse. Sometimes it's a monumental thing to remember when we've tended to forget: we're all in this together. Thank you for taking the time to reach out, stranger. You're a good human. Remember to hug your brother. Cheers, dude.
My favorite type of genre. Djent and on top of that it's emotional af. I cried my eyes out when he came out with "brother do you watch over me". That hit hard. I'd love if y'all could point out some bands with the same depressing and melodic type of guitars.
Tremendously saddening song, Trey's vocals at the end are so impactful, yearning to send a message above, sorry for your massive loss, for Trey and anyone who relates to this song. "That day the clouds hung over me Thats day, it seemed so distant".
