Go for white valve cover but don’t get it Powdercoated unless the guy knows what he’s doing. Sand will get caught in the baffles if they aren’t removed. I just had mine professionally painted tial purple so I’d recommend the same man. Good luck!! Love your III
Yeah. I'm not at Yokota, Kadena or Misawa so I couldn't find any JDM cars. I'm actually at Ramstein and bought an Eclipse GT, I wanna ship back to the states next year

Sup Cpt26, been watching your videos for awhile and love the content. I’m in the Army, stationed in Kansas and love seeing fellow Military members show there love for all things cars I currently own a 2013 Genesis Coupe or Genzilla is what we call them in the KDM world. Lol. Keep doing your thing Brotha and hopefully we will get to meet when your state side would love to check that EVO out. 👍🏾

Hrm, on valve cover paint. I'm kinda seeing white, especially if it can be spotted through the hood vents. Seems that would look right.
Otherwise, wrinkle black with bare letters/fins is always a fave of mine.
Ooh, green Supra. My favorite. (It was actually really popular in Massachusetts on the USDM ones we had. They seem very rare in Japan, ...also green in general seems not so popular since maybe the 70s. )

Love this stuff! I miss being stationed in Japan and seeing the cars and the food! The c stores were definitely impressive. I now live in Ireland, the second home of the JDM car. They dont have a 25 year rule here, so grey market cars are fine, just pay import taxes (about 23%) so not cheap, but doable.
Oh and the 9 people that gave this video thumbs down just dont understand how the "Hurry up and Wait" works. When you spend so much time waiting, you need a focus and cars are a great one. I drew tats for people and pretty much anything they wanted me to draw and then right before I made E5, I finished my contract and headed home. (Navy req'd E5 to keeping a car on base - at least in Yokosuka. And I couldn't afford that nearly-Tokyo parking fees HAHA)

When you go back to the states, keep your Jdm number plate, Uber cool for shows, meets ect and I’m sure would improve the sell on price a tad. 😉👍🏻

It's sad to see that many jdm cars in japan specially in okinawa and tokyo are owned by foreigners and will be shipped out in japan soon. It's not really the same like before, the vibe is very different and sooner or later most if not all the jdm cars are already nowhere to be found in japan. And of course one of the reason why the price is getting crazy high like the gtr is because the car is being eligible to go in some countries like America for example. No hate, just saying that the cars we all love do not have that 'jdm' vibe anymore and are slowly disappearing if you get what i mean. Anyways, this is just what i think and yes it's a bit selfish but cmon we all know what a true jdm car is like right?

Busa engine is for the Cappuccino. That AZ1 deserves a 13B engine revving all the way up to the moon!! No turbo needed!! 😂
I've a Cappuccino and I've seen AZ1s, it's the same Suzuki engine, so a person could be manufacturer-kosher, if they had either Mazda or Suzuki (Hayabusa) :)

That’s how it is really, but the military guys usually create their own car meets that’s why, I feel the locals do their own thing too. Only the BIG events where you see locals, and Americans together. Kinda bit of a shame though, if you want to experience the real Japanese car culture, go to tokyo or Osaka. I feel like Okinawa is the same as america but with gtrs, supras, rx7 everywhere, not much variety. Not trying to hate but that’s just how I see it
