Hi Abby. I don’t know if you’ll remember me but we both went to the same drama school. I’ve loved watching you grow and thrive and find yourself again. After you left, I began the worst year of my life too, and experienced the same neglect for support that you did. I ended up leaving because I found God. And honestly I thought of you and how you had continued through those dark times with His guidance. It really helped to know it could be so much better. I’m still in the industry and doing really well in film etc. But yeah, I just wanted you to know that you helped me and empowered me to reconnect with God. Xx
Thank you for sharing! I'm not a Christian myself but have grown up around it and so can imagine how difficult it must've been to be so open with your faith while in School. I have a lot of respect for Christians who have to defend their faith in a world which increasingly tries to villainise Christianity. I think it's often forgotten that the heart of it is a deeply personal spiritual journey despite any criticisms of corruption in the Church as a larger organisation.
