Hi Abby. I don’t know if you’ll remember me but we both went to the same drama school. I’ve loved watching you grow and thrive and find yourself again. After you left, I began the worst year of my life too, and experienced the same neglect for support that you did. I ended up leaving because I found God. And honestly I thought of you and how you had continued through those dark times with His guidance. It really helped to know it could be so much better. I’m still in the industry and doing really well in film etc. But yeah, I just wanted you to know that you helped me and empowered me to reconnect with God. Xx

I can relate to this so much. I've been at uni for 3 years doing east Asian studies and as much as I love the course, I found the language part really hard and I went through really bad depression and anxiety. I was having panic attacks everyday, mostly nocturnal, and I had an eating disorder bc I was scared of getting sick from my own cooking. I was super isolated during lockdown and it really messed with my head for the whole year, so I didn't finish my assignments and have to resit I'm now taking a break and ironically the career I started thinking about taking up was play therapy! I'm already 22 but I'm hoping to get an apprenticeship in a nursery and pursue early childhood studies. I started thinking about going to drama school randomly but honestly, you've reminded me how dumb that would be for me 🥲😂 I just need to get back out there and do SOMETHING to built myself back up. I'm trying to remember that trying to do the absolute most isn't helpful. Living doing something you enjoy but you can handle is the best thing.

Thank you for sharing! I'm not a Christian myself but have grown up around it and so can imagine how difficult it must've been to be so open with your faith while in School. I have a lot of respect for Christians who have to defend their faith in a world which increasingly tries to villainise Christianity. I think it's often forgotten that the heart of it is a deeply personal spiritual journey despite any criticisms of corruption in the Church as a larger organisation.

this was a lovely video!! she has so much good advice and I can’t summarize that but here are the main things she said to use to help center God in your life 1) use devotionals (books, online, etc) especially on a bible app 2) read and study your bible consistently, choose to spend time in the bible instead of watching tv/scrolling on social media, also using commentaries 3) listening to christian or worship music, you can use spotify playlists 4) think about things you’re consuming- your social media, movies/tv you watch, music you listen to, etc and ask if these things are helping you grow in your relationship with God 5) try to find some good friends, an accountability partner, or a group to help keep you on track 6) read christian books, especially about areas that you’re struggling with! ex. a book about Godly relationships if you’re in one or one about anxiety if you struggle with that

Do you say the Lord’s Prayer? I fund that when I don’t say it my day doesnt not go to plan and I feel uncomfortable and unproductive. But when I say it when I wake up I know I’m protected by God. And yes quiet time with God first thing! I get distracted aswell. What podcasts do you listen to? Great video sis 😇✝️
