It’s crazy how ever since NWH all the people who’ve been hating on Andrew’s Spider-Man started switching up all of a sudden and starting liking his Spider-Man and would go so far to defend his Spider-Man and say he’s the best and better then Tobey and how he deserves TASM3 more then Tobey getting Spider-Man 4 then they re-released these films and half of y’all don’t even show up. What a bunch of fake fans 💀

People weren't hating on Andrew's Spider-Man. They hated the movies his Spider-Man was in. Why would anyone go see those terrible films? WHY? I have those films on digital and I hate them. Why would I go to the theater to see them? WHY???? It thought Andrew was great in NWH. I prefer his ASM2 costume. I still won't go see those goofy films. I'm sure you liked Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, right? That's a reasonable bet. Would you go see Wonder Woman 1984 in a theater re-release? I'm guessing the answer is no, so you must be a fake fan then.

Personally, I still don't like Andrews take on the character. I have my own opinions on it but I even re watched the tasm movies after watching no way home and yeah.. I liked it a little more then I did. But I didn't turn into a full stan for Andrew and saying he deserves tasm 3. Personally, I believe Sam Raimi deserves his Spider-Man 4 cause Sony and Avi arad stepped in and ruined Spider-Man 3. I don't believe they did the same to the tasm films but saying Tasm 3 is more dissevered to be made then Spider-Man 4 is just bs. Both movies are deserved to be made. Not one or the other.
I strongly disagree. Why would anyone expect a movie that wasn’t received well the first time to do better with a re-release? Another dumb move by Sony. If they hired a team like they did for the video games or animated movies ,then they’d be in great shape. Andrew deserved better and everyone knows it. I’m in the small faction of people who actually enjoyed both Amazing Spiderman movies. They are not without their faults, but most of those faults come from lazy writing. The best part of those films are the actors. I love the chemistry between Andrew and Emma. I believed them. Their scenes made me smile. When Gwen died I really felt it. I would love to see a third. I would also like to see another Toby movie too! Give me all the Spiderman I can get, but get quality people who care and aren’t looking for a quick cash grab!
I agree to this since I don't like the TASM movies personally. I enjoy them a little but I don't personally enjoy them cause of how they did the characters (Mainly peter) and saying they were doing more "Ultimate Spider-Man" to it (which isn't really the case cause I've been re reading the series). But I agree to saying that it was sony's fault from the beginning. Let's have both movies and not just one or the other cause it'll only get more people mad if one's made and the other isn't.
Knowing how sucessful the re release of the Raimi trilogy was its time for Sony to act smart and get rid of their trash morbius/madame web universe and start working on Spider-Man 4 with Tobey and raimi back as the director.

There was, they marketed the the entire Spider-man movie catalog was returning to theaters months ago but it wasn't a massive marketing campaign because rereleased movies don't make a ton of money, Amazing Spider-man made less than your normal rereleased movie on top of that.
They did the marketing of all the movies returning together Toby movies made a killing and Andrew's flop
They did market it and people online here were making videos about it so saying it wasn't marketed has nothing to do with you not knowing cause everyone nowadays is on their phones and you should've seen it before.
On the bright side, we know the sequel to Across the Spider-verse/conclusion to the Spider-Verse trilogy is gonna be 💯 awesome

People LOVED Andrew Garfield in NO WAY HOME. He was arguably the BEST part of the film. Those same people DON’T LIKE TASM, though. The best that can come out of this is including Garfield Spider-Man in SECRET WARS …. Which we know will happen already.
Plus, time for us to have Tom Holland Spider-Man films that don’t take attention away from him and give it to Andrew or Tobey. Their time came and went. Let’s see the BEST possible Tom Spider-Man films.
Avengers: Secret Wars will be using Spider-Man as a protagonist. They'll use Tobey, Andrew and Tom as that character is integral to that story. Tom Hardy can finally fight Garfield and Garfield is planned for more MCU films as a supporting role as Spider-Man. That's where he works best in my opinion.

All of your logic is sound but you should apply that same logic to all Marvel movies that fail. We don't need an Antman 4, Captain Marvel 3 or Ms Marvel season 2 because their movies are some of the biggest bombs of all time.
Forbes recently released an article where they discovered that Quantumania recieved secret funding from Disney and its was bigger of a flop than initially thought. The Marvels might be the biggest flop of all time too. Marvel needs to stop making movies that don't have mass appeal.
Problem is those movies still made lore than andrews re releases, but we’re destroyed profit wise by the re release of the raimi trilogy, so if tasm is good so we’re those profit wise

Andrew was great as Spider-Man , his films despite some interesting ideas however mostly sucked like I haven’t seen them since they were released
It was a mistake to show the movies on a Monday... Also none of the theaters played any of the movies so I wasn't able to go see any even if I had the time. Should have been shown on weekend and at more theaters
Supposedly the Raimi movies were also shown on a Monday
They were playing all week guys 😂😂 and the same release schedule was done to the raimi ones which made bank, can’t argue the failure of the tasm series
Me 2 i agree but opposite way i was busy working on Monday didn't time 2 go the movie anymore. so i love Andrew Garfield and i even watched the hacksaw ridge the best actor. and i want 2 watch the amazing Spider-Man 3 & 4 maybe in the future hopefully.
This is just like when people were crying and complaining about Disney not making 2D animated movies anymore and yet didn't show up for Princess and the Frog and Winnie the Pooh (2011).
If ya want the studio to do what you want, you actually gotta put your money where your mouth is people. Screaming about it online does nothing.

Also, everyone knows theater rerelease Star Wars movies every year around May the 4th.

You can't deny that there was literally, (and I actually mean literally) NO MARKETING for the rerelease, I mean denying that is like saying the sky is red. @@philosotree5876 re-releases don't get major marketing, ever. My point was that Raimi's movies and Phantom Menace got literally the exact same marketing and they both did good numbers. You can't blame the lack of marketing when we see those movies doing well. I like TASM movies, at least the first one, but they just don't hit like the other ones.
I think why they flopped was bc it's a rerelease and when you release a bunch of films several weeks in a row not everyone is going to go watch it. Also rn a lot of people have exams and end of school/college things so it's hard for people to have time
And they released these on Mondays. I don't know why they didn't do these on a Saturday or Sunday where alot more people would have been off and potentially made more money
The Tobey movies had the same release and made much more money.

Not sure these re-releases were promoted very well. Not sure it would have changed things much, but I don't know what theaters have even been showing the Spider-man series. Plus there's the issue of why should I pay $50 to take my family to see a movie I own a copy of and can watch at home on my 65-inch TV?
Unless you do it right with this one, with zero studio interference. Which Sony and Warner Brothers love to do so much.
There's never been a movie made without studio interference and some of the best movies are entirely driven by the studio like the MCU movies.
@@BaithNaDo you even get what it means. Studio interference is when the studio is interfering with the directors vision for the film. For example Spider-Man 3, Zack Snyder's Justice league.

@@adithyahelps7720Kang Dynasty will be the perfect send-off for Tobey. Secret Wars could be the perfect entry point for a solo reboot of Spider-Man in the MCU. Feige has got big plans for Andrew Garfield. This could mean that he's taking on the mentor role in a film with Miles Morales. That would be cool. Similar to Peter B. Parker in spider-verse, that's where his Peter works best.

All of those are failures so they'd be better off investing in stuff that's successful like the Spiderverse movies or a Raimi Spider-man 4 with Tobey

I knew the re-releases of those movies were a terrible idea and just another cash grab nostalgia trip. Beyond the Spider-verse on the other hand will actually be worth the time and money
FYI, of there's any version of Spider-Man that deserves to return after their respective cameos are TV shows like TAS, Unlimited and Spectacular
Main reason I didn't bother catching it in theaters again for the 3rd time is because I really don't want to see Gwen's head bounce off the concrete like a basketball. The major saving grace of that movie as a Spider-Man fan is the natural chemistry between Andrew and Emma and it's a shame she dies, I know comic lore and all that but damn man.

What they should do is a Spiderverse animated anthology, focusing on a different spiderman each in an hour long episode or two, and finish up the Amazing Spiderman plot threads.

Can't we just let Spider-verse do it's own thing, it doesn't need finish up plot threads from the live action movies. Also, Lord and Miller said that after the trilogy ends with BTSV, that's it.

It would be its own thing. The Amazing Spiderman would be like 2 episodes at most. Essentially, it would be Sony's answer to the What If series on Disney+.

While I'm not sure what the minimum box office numbers would need to be from a re release to show interest in making another film, but i didn't get any of the films in my theaters or in the next town over. If this was meant to be how they look into make new sequels, then they should of tried to release it everywhere. We got the other rereleases from the past month which makes me wonder if they even tried to get them released everywhere

I would definitely go watch an amazing Spider-Man 3 maybe even twice if it’s in my local theaters and if it is a good film. The nearest theater that was showing this movie was an hour away and on a Wednesday maybe a Friday I would have drove to watch it but a Wednesday? Idk
Yeah, but Sony did this to see which Spider-Man had the most money making potential, so it’s not going to happen with the piss poor performance of both tasm movies, they each had a week, same as raimi trilogy, difference is one raimi movie made double both tasm movies made total, but first raimi one did that on one day, two films two weeks made less money than one movie in one day, which would you support to make a sequel to?
I don’t think this automatically mean tasm 3 is a waste of time, first off there no marketing that these movies was rereleased, it flew right under the radar, 2nd from what I can remember when no way home came out, there were more people coming out of the theater and talking about andrews arc and how they would demand a tasm 3 almost more than anything else that happened in that movie. Tasm 3 hype is drastically huge and people will still like to see Andrew get another chance.
Okay 1st off, there was marketing online and through creators like Armin here on youtube and yet you people are still saying that there wasn't any marketing.. 2nd, That's what you were hearing at your theater when people were leaving but that doesn't mean everyone was saying that about the movie. Yes Andrew had a good arc. Congrats to him. But that doesn't mean toby didn't have a good arc as well. We want to see toby get his 4th movie for the same reason as andrew. They didn't both got ruined by sony and their ways of wanting to control what happens. So if anything, Stop saying that one movie deserves to be made/released over the other. Your just causing more problems. Both movies deserve to be made if possible to those who enjoy those characters and such.

They weren’t just playing on a Monday, that was release date, not the total airing dates, each had a week, and tbh, even if that wasn’t the case, one raimi movie made more than both tasms on this release, that means they are at least twice S profitable as the tasm movies

The Raimi movies are available on streaming and people went to see those during their re-release. Even Phantom Menace did better than both of the Amazing Spider-man movies combined during its re-release. People just don't like the Amazing Spider-man movies.

It’s been almost a decade since the last one and we’ve had a new Spider-Man since them, realistically why would it happen? It makes no sense financially
It doesn’t make sense to bring Andrew Garfield back at this point. We already have a Peter Parker in the MCU with Tom Holland. People need to accept that Garfield’s time as Spider-Man is over.
He's not coming back to a solo franchise. Avengers: Secret Wars is going to include Garfield Holland and Maguire all as important characters in the story. NWH marked a return for Garfield as a supporting role and maybe even lead, but this time in the MCU. Kevin feige's got big plans for Garfield and Holland. Garfield wanting to fight an alien might actually pay off in secret Wars with Tom Hardy's Venom. Kang Dynasty will feature Tom Holland as the lead and Andrew Garfield has an important role. They're really diving head first into the 3 Spider-Men becoming integral. It sounds exciting and like they're giving Andrew the respect he deserves.
I think that Garfield’s spidy is a great character planted in a horrible story line, of course people will not watch.
However that same reason didn’t stopped WB for giving us 2 suicide squad and a birds of prey movies
You easily combine Andrews spiderman in another of the marvel projects. I mean variants abound and continuity is for the diehards. Throw the characters into some of the projects already developing. Same with venom or the scarlet spider or even kaine. There is a massive roster of characters and seriously most of their current shows lacked substance after hours wasted with the belief characters like echo could carry anything longer than an hour. Maybe have a marvel entertainment presents and have like three mini movies told over a 90 minute runtime like what if or marvel comics presents from the early nineties

See I definitely would’ve showed up for you me Spider-Man one and two but unfortunately, my movie theater closest to me was not showing it and I don’t have a car to drive an hour away which saddens me because I love all the Spider-Man movies even the ones dark considered bad and would’ve loved to relive All parts of my life
From what I've heard they didn't do a good job marketing the return of tasm movies, of course its going to fail. Tasm 3 isn't a waste of time and or money, if anything its sony's fault for not making those films or throwing attention to begin with.
At least Beyond the Spider-verse is gonna be worth the experience and every penny

This aside, I still believe an amazing spiderman 3 would have made more money than morbius, madam web and kraven combined.
They can’t expect those movies to have gotten anywhere close to the Raimi films re-release. Andrew Garfield may have had his redemption with No Way Home but it doesn’t change the fact that those movies were not that good hence the reason not as much profit for those movies upon re-release. I may not care for those movies, but I still say a third movie should happen given the story that come from Garfield’s Spider-Msn being re-invigorated.
With inflation being out of control like it is, Why would i waste my money going to see something OLD? These stats shouldn't reflect the potential of something NEW. And obviously marketing has to be a factor.
Even tobey's films were marketed the same , no special love for those as well and yet all 3 managed to earn 2-3 million each , people like Andrew as spider man , but that doesn't change the fact that his movies are not the best
I don’t agree with testing the waters for a next installment by rereleasing an older product. Capcom has done this with Darkstalkers and now more then likely Darkstalkers is dead even tho fans want a new one. With that being said I was not blowing money and a movieseries that wasn’t good Tams was an ok start but tasm2 was kinda trash. The only good thing in those movies are Pete’s and Gwen’s chemistry

MakeTASM3 has always been a joke. They played a part in that movie never happening whereas Raimi fans got screwed over when it came to Spider-Man 4
Yeah. Zack Snyder's Justice League was a different beats when it came to the petition and studio support. Snyder wanted to get that film made and Joss Whedon screwed the studio over. Fan petitions don't work the way people thought they do, that's why TASM 3 will never happen. Let's just admit that Garfield works better as a supporting character to other films.

I disagree, I just think that Tasm 3 just needs the right director and right studio aka Marvel Studios. After No Way Home they already set Andrew's Spiderman up for a perfect conclusion to his trilogy with Venom and the return of gwen stacy via the multiverse.

They're so desperate for a Sinister 6 film that everything they touch gets poorly written. The director is good, the writing and plotting isn't. Producer Laura Zizkin made Spider-Man films legendary. If they get someone that has the spirit of her energy and creative control, they'll be good. Sony doesn't want to make money. They want to lose as much as possible until Feige talks with them over what they did wrong like with TASM 2. He knows that they can't do that and that it's going to fail if they try it. NWH had the right director, writers and story. He was a supporting character, which worked better anyway. If he wants a series of solo films, it won't be TASM. It will be set in the MCU with a new name, Garfield to star. Kevin Feige already has big plans for Garfield and Holland.
Marvel could re-release many of their films people will go and watch the movie again, poor marketing never seen an advertisement any where.

No it’s a re release a lot of people are not going to spend their money on a movie they have at home. And for the people that would watch it again how will they know the movie is re released when there is no advertisement.
Yet Spider-Man 2/3 made over a Million in limited theaters and Spider-Man 1 made close to a Million

The rereleases were released to less than 500 theatres on a Monday. They drew way more than average for a Monday release of even new movies. Actually look at the numbers.
Bad counter, they were there all week, and the raimi ones trashed them ticket wise, also the tasm movies this round made less than the flops of marvel so yeah, kinda not an argument to only count one day of the week

TASM and TASM 2 drew more per screen than every other movie those days except for Planet of The Apes which was only on its 4th day of release.

Just because people didn’t go to see ASM2 in the theaters upon re-release doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t support Andrew in a well crafted ASM3.
I think there’s a lot of good will out there for Andrew Garfield’s version of the character… and I think it’s a mistake to sideline that potential just because people didn’t go to see the re-release of a movie that was never considered to be very good and which has played on cable about 10 million times since it’s initial release.
Get Marvel involved so Sony can’t just go and screw it up and people would very likely make sure it was a hit.

Plus, it's Spider-Man. The character is at a point now to where if you slap his name on anything, it'll sell. Everyone and their grandma knows who the character is and NWH and the Spider-Verse films prove there can be more than one spider.

End of the day Sony us to naive to make a good spider man movie weather it’s Andre or Tobey. I’m more of an amazing spider man fan than tobey. They make spider man 4 or amazing spider man 3 I’ll go watch both of them cuz it’s something new.
Everyone is saying that there wasn't any marketing when in a way there was and no one saw it. And this only makes me laugh cause everyone wants ASM 3 over Spider-Man 4 (Sam Raimi) when it's clearly showing that more people are showing that they want Spider-Man 4 (Sam Raimi) more then ASM 3. And nobody realizes anymore that Sony/Avi Arad ruined Spider-Man 3 and when if they continued to let sam raimi do his thing, it would've worked out.

That's a false equivalency because Episodes 1 and 2 did amazingly in their original runs and we're talking about rereleased movies. The Phantom Menace's rerelease earned more than double what both the Amazing Spider-man movies made combined.
No one told Sony to rerelease the amazing Spider-Man and the other Spider-Man movies lol people have already watched those.

He's not coming back to a solo franchise. Avengers: Secret Wars is going to include Garfield Holland and Maguire all as important characters in the story. NWH marked a return for Garfield as a supporting role and maybe even lead, but this time in the MCU. Kevin feige's got big plans for Garfield and Holland. Garfield wanting to fight an alien might actually pay off in secret Wars with Tom Hardy's Venom. Kang Dynasty will feature Tom Holland as the lead and Andrew Garfield has an important role. They're really diving head first into the 3 Spider-Men becoming integral. It sounds exciting and like they're giving Andrew the respect he deserves.

I agree. Andrew and Emma had good chemistry for sure and her death was a good part of the films as well.. but besides that in my opinion were the only good things that happened out of it.

Here’s why you’re wrong. Re-releases don’t prove what fans want. If they want to watch it they can click on their tv. Not everyone wants to go to the theater for a movie they already saw. You’re acting like the raimi films made 10M each on their re release
Raimi films did extremely well based on the 466 Theaters it was released in and 2 & 3 made over a Million Dollars each.
The thing is , if fans are soo supportive of Andrew to get his 3rd film, they should show up to support him when time comes as well, cause i see a lot of support for him online but when it comes to irl , i don't see anyone supporting and showing up to the theatres , if this goes on nobody's going to show up for amazing spider man 3 as well, you really expect Sony to make a good film after delivering 2 absolute disasters? Garfield doesn't "deserve another chance", he had 2 movies and a big role in No Way Home. I'd like to see him as the Spider-man of the Venom movies but he also had plenty of opportunities and it's time for other actors to have one as well.

It does not matter what anybody says because those not true fans that think the Amazing Spider-Man 3 is a waste of time because it’s not and it should be made Andrew Garfield deserves the Amazing Spider-Man 3 that he never got and it’s not his fault it’s all because of Sony they are the ones that ruining the Spider-Man movies.
The movie doesn't "deserve" to be made. That's like saying Morbius 2 or madame web 2 or whatever deserves to be made. It doesn't. And I'll say that I'm one of those people who say that Sam raimi's Spider-Man should be made because of what happened with sony and that bs on Spider-Man 3. But the Tasm films had bad writing and such with it. So think about it this way, Both Spider-Man 4 (Sam raimi) and Tasm 3 should be made. Not one over the other cause they both deserve to get their redemption for what happened. I'm not the biggest fan of the Tasm films but I still enjoy them for what it is.
