This looks like a rug owned by a person who works in construction or does concrete work with unmixed concrete powder and fine sand, since the color of the sediment filled solution water seems to denote that. The grey comes from the concrete powder and the sandy tan color is probably fine sand, or there could be a tiny bit of red color bleed since this rug is a shade of dark red. Also relating to the main point, this seems like it could belong to someone who wears shoes around their rugs.

If you hand it hanging in the air and sprayed top down, you would be done in half the time. The dirt would flow from both front and back
