I heard that comment on the last episode and I was like WTF? This can’t be the same Joe Budden that will literally over talk and cut off Mel and Flip (which is definitely who he is talking about). Any time the rest of the cast is cooking on a subject, he the first one to say “can we move on now?” Simply because he’s done talking about the topic.
Mel needs to be on a podcast with other women. She doesn’t have good chemistry with the guys. Her friend that she was hating on had more chemistry with them than she does. I also hear Joe’s dog whistle insults. He called her a childless cat mom the other day and chuckled to himself. He comes across like she curved him back in her heyday and this is his shot at revenge. He makes invalidating comments about everything she says and she’s the butt of all of his jokes. He is a narcissist that gets energy from the emotional responses he gets from others. He loves to say that he is an empath but he is not. He has an uncanny ability to see all perspectives in situations, and is extremely smart but cannot see himself through the lens of others.
JBP been ass, Mel is there to be a punching bag and to serve as a as passive aggressive and hopeful Velcro for Ish.
Meanwhile R&Ms podcast is just organic cool conversations. JBP always talk in elitist mystique “I’m better than you fans” circles as if we have to fill in the blanks. Shit is whack

Parks is the only one that doesn’t need to say much he’s the engineer, his one liners hit almost everytime and when he does have an input it’s mostly related to the music industry which I really appreciate.

Joe would be better off splitting the cast into to 2 separate days and mix up the rotations to keep variety. Then you’d also see who ppl like the most.

Also have flip do flip the script again. Then Make Mel do her own show like they originally agreed. And if she can’t make it happen, then she’d have to cut whatever pay she’s getting. She’s insightful when she’s allowed to speak or if their discuss a topic she’s passionate about, but she can’t just get paid to hang out. To be fair, they shut Mel down most of the time she tried to get her takes off, so it’s on her to assert herself and move the needle. Also, Joe is guilty of not pushing the envelope and not “telling the truth” “ima tell the truth one day” 😂😒. Like bruh, just tell the truth and spill the tea. That’s why we’re here. Having guest also hurts the show unless it’s a for sure viral moment like when Pusha T came on. Ian and Joe are also too smart for their own good by betting against their best interest by doing shit like pay walling a Dr. Umar episode. Same for the Candace Owen’s interview. Especially since Joe isn’t informed and did little prep, and wouldn’t challenge her, making it a waste of time for him to interview her solo.
They dogpile Mel because she doesn't give real takes and the few takes she does give be full of shit and "safe" to protect her Lifetime Movie roles. The Merlot Melly that showed up for her first guest appearance is the one who needs to be podding otherwise this version of Mel gotta go

Very true, I'm glad Joe caught onto this because I listen to the podcast every Wednesday and Saturday and man oh man, you will forget that Ish is even there. Melyssa doesn't talk for more than 2 minutes in 30 minutes fractions and Ice really tries, I can give him that, he's willing to try to keep the integrity of the show going. Me being a listener, I notice that all Ish really do is laugh at Joe's jokes and it's always these looooong 15 seconds breaks where they just say "Woooooooooooo, woooooo, woooooo" coming down from the joke that wasn't that hilarious. That happens about 10 times a pod when Ish is there. All he really says is "Wow what's wrong with your brain?" rizzing up Joe. QF, Ice and Joe is all Joe needs. They are the Rory and Mal of the podcast. Ice knows music, QF brings insight and loud comedy while Joe does what he does. I'm shocked every time I see them on video seeing how different they look because I'm strictly a 5+ year LISTENER and you feel every empty spot times 10. Joe is right and I'm glad he caught on.

Mel shows signs of a woman being tired of having to battle and defend every thought she presents to the room. When you are in that state, you realize there is peace in your silence. Especially to a group of men who don’t value your input, then gaslight you about the lack there of. I like Mel and I like the guys, just not together. Mel is more mature in the content she provides and they (Joe) seems to want someone willing to mud sling. It’s just not a good fit. She shines in spaces where women (and their views and opinions) are valued more.
