I'm pretty glad Ash VS Evil Dead only got 3 seasons. Every season was fantastic, but by the third season they were starting to recycle ideas with having yet another evil Ash. I'm glad it ended on such a high note instead of falling apart over time with the well running dry.

Funny thing. I met Sticky Fingers on the set of my friends movie. This was probably his first film and he basically played himself. It’s so funny watching him now in Blade series cause I can’t even see him play a serious character without bursting into laughter. lol.

There was one in the UK in 1980 called Hammer House of Horror which ran for one series but was a spin off of the Hammer Horror films but was also an anthology series as each episode was a different story but still worth a watch if you like Hammer Horror style of stories

I remember a show from the 90s called She Wolf of London. I don't know if it had any connection to American Werewolf but always assumed it did. I was like five years old when this aired and all I remember about it was that there's a lady who was bitten by a werewolf, obviously, and she helped a detective solve supernatural crimes, I think.

Just thinking about Tales from the Crypt, and one episode in particular, guest starring Wayne Newton, where two martial artists were forced to fight each other in a "Malaysian Rules Death Match" for the starring role in an upcoming Hollywood movie, and while the episode aired around the same time as the popularity of the original Ultimate Fighting Championship, a part of me felt like it was an original story. But then again, I also have to be reminded that boxing and pro wrestling were very popular in the 1950s (you know, early days of television, and such, very easy programming to broadcast). Maybe one of these days I will try to search the Web for the original source comic, and see where the TV and comic stories differ.

I loved Tales From The Darkside (I've got those on Blu-ray 📀) And I Did like Freddy's Nightmares (in fact I made it into a movie) Now this isn't Freddy, but I took my favorite episode about the Sorority House 🏡 And made it into a movie called Sorority Party Massacre (which, now bare with me, long explanation) That's a spinoff of Stage Fright (which has Happy Birthday to You Anne Thompson, I just used the character 4 mine. STAGE FRIGHT is the murder spree she's going on while us stage kids are trying to put on a play (led by R Drama Teacher Jessica Lange) Anne's killed in STAGE FRIGHT but in SORORITY PARTY MASSACRE 🥳 We brought her back, only in This movie we find out why she's crazy in the 1st place (In a female Michael Myers fashion) She killed her mother's boyfriend when she was 9 and was sent to an Asylum when she was 16. Jessica Lange is The Headmistress 2 The Sorority House. And while STAGE FRIGHT (stems from Happy Birthday to Me) This is my version of a Remake set in The Sorority House Omega Kappa Pi (Which is The Sorority House from The Freddy's Nightmares Ep (Following Rebel without a Car, if you can watch it 😊It's a good Ep.) The makers of Resident Evil completely shot themselves in the foot with the TV show, they insisted the show was cannon to all the games but then cast Lance Reddick, probably one of the darkest black actors around at the time, as Albert Wesker, a Scandinavian looking, pale skinned, blonde haired, white guy.
It's no wonder so many fans had a meltdown over it, most of what I saw, people loved Lance Reddick as an actor (As do I, he was awesome) but could not get past how they expected one of the main cast to just change colour for absolutely no reason. It was as hairbrained as it gets, if they'd have explained it somehow, maybe he'd taken a syrum or strain of the virus that altered his appearance somehow, that would at least of been something but nope, he was just a black dude now but it's still canon. I think someone needs to explain to the showrunners that human beings don't change colour for no reason lol
In all honesty, even taking that away from the show, it was pretty pants anyway, it was far too melodramatic and just boring.
I wasn't aware there was an IT TV show coming, my other half will be over the moon, she loves Pennywise.

    • @movietimelines

that part doesn't bother me at all as it's not the character changing color. it's a different take on the character. and Reddick is so good that he could've played anyone he wanted and i was cool with it.
the part that bothered was that the writing sucked.

Creepshow is basically an unofficial reboot of Tales from The Crypt. Imo the first season has the best stories. I've always felt that the anthology format is perfect for horror (tension is often diluted when stories go on for too long). I vaguely remember the Friday the 13th show.

When I first saw it i LOVED it right up until the end. I realized they were trying to do to Carrie what they did to the Dead Zone and so the pilot movie joins the ranks of the HORRIBLE Pet Cemetery remake as another horrible Stephen King property. We really need a Robocop: Tales of Delta City TV show.
It would be an anthology show, hosted by Robocop. It would delve into the true crime stories in an unrecognizable Delta City. It's very important that the stories have little to no references to the movies, and 90% of the stories in the second season would be about ghosts, aliens and sexy vampires. It would then be abruptly canceled.

Fair enough, I have always considered sci-fi more of a setting than a genre (I might be alone in that though). For example Alien is a horror movie in a sci-fi setting and Aliens is an action movie. I can't think of a movie or show I would consider strictly a sci-fi movie.
