@@danielperry6692 Even though my VHS player is clunky I still have my box box tape. And I have a Ted Bohus autographed Deadly Spawn poster. Always loved these kinds of rentals back in the day.
Deadly Spawn is great! Synapse is working on restoring it and I think they may have extra footage too. It won't be out for awhile because Synapse takes years to put movies out after they announce them
YES.! The Deadly Spawn is amazing. Deffo watch it at least twice a year, and enjoy it every time. The lady who portrays Aunt Millie is so good, her dry wit makes me wish she'd done more movies...
The Deadly Spawn is one of my favourite horror movies, I loved it as a kid and I still love it now. It's insane how good the creature and gore effects are for a movie shot on an absolute shoestring, it outdoes a lot of the naff horror flicks we get these days. I'd love a remake of this, as long as they kept the creature design, gore and theme tune. It blows my mind that Hollywood keeps remaking and rehashing loads and loads of already well known movies and yet unknown gems like this are staring them right in the face and they never touch them. I've always said since I was a teenager, if I ever won the lottery or came into money, I'd buy the rights to and remake this film, I get another chance tomorrow night with my 2 weekly lotto lines so fingers crossed :)
Yay!!! Josh, I love it when you cover ones that I already one, & i already own several of these, including the Demon Murder Case, as I found a bootleg DVD of it, on eBay. Out of the ones, on this list, that I haven't seen. I've gotta track down the Trail, the Deadly Spawn, & Geek Maggot Bingo!! I own the American Nightmare, & I actually enjoy that one.
Back in the late 1990s, the Walmart/K-Mart 5.99 VHS bargain bins were a goldmine for finding these early 80s films! Later by the early 2000s, DVD's would have 3 (low-budget, so bad its good) movies in one for 10.99! Damn, I really miss that era.
I've heard of The hunger deadly spawn I think I've heard of but don't remember watching it. All this block I've heard of a couple of them but never watched them for whatever reason.
I'm a huge fan of The Deadly Spawn as well, since the 80's when I use to rent it quite often on VHS! To me it's the same kind of low budget DIY passion project as Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead, Peter Jackson's Bad Taste, or even Frank Henenlotter's Basket Case and Don Coscarelli's Phantasm, yet I never understood why it didn't launch the career of its director, unlike all the movies I listed just before... :/ Does anyone have an answer? It's such a waste. Oh, and great vid btw, as usual. :) Cheers from France!
hey, I really enjoy this channel but seriously there needs to be at least a 15 or 20% volume increase. I’m watching on an iPhone and I have to use the subtitles
OMG I WANT THAT RAX TSHIRT😂 …anyhoo, yeah: It’s The Hunger for me. …brings back (less than) blissful gothic high school memories for me down in the bayou…
From 1997 to 2000 there was also a horror anthology show called The Hunger. David Bowie hosted the second season and starred in one of the episodes.
Deadly Spawn was a regular video rental for me in the 80s. I had the clunky big box VHS tape until upgrading to the DVD release. Love this film!

The Hunger has such a great pitch. David Bowie is a powerful vampire and he also appears in this movie The Hunger!
RAX!! I used to LOVE them; they had the best roast beef. At least when I was 11, lol.
@@lila10P was it sort of like Arby's? I don't think we ever has it here in Canada
"Deadly Lessons " Nancy Cartwright played Ethel, the sister of telekinetic kid Anthony, in The Twilight Zone movie

At 2:03 that's Charlie X from the 60s Star Trek series.

Freaking rules!! Every single gem/episode!!! Thank you!
American Nightmare had Michael Ironside in it.
The clip you showed at the end of Revenge of The House of Usher just had me crying in laughter!!! Sooo Bad... jess Franco obviously!
When I picture "80's film aesthetic" in my head it's Tony Scott. Smokey rooms...
You are not wrong. Deadly Spawn is the best of this list! One of my favs!!!!

There is no way Rob Zombie didn't see Geek Maggot Bingo and love it.
Love it when a new video comes up. Cheers my dude 😊
London Bridge in Lake Havasu, Arizona. Love it. Have relatives there.....

Asian Ted Raimi. Or, Ted Raimi from My Name Is Bruce.
I think “The Demon Murder Case” was the first (Catholic-style) possession movie I ever saw.

Can't wait til the 60s project, when Andy Griffith reappears in The Ghost and Mr. Chicken.
You mean Don Knotts?
@@darrellcagle2783 No, I actually thought Andy was in it. Turns out, nope, he wasn't in it.
@john_blues great movie. I laughed just thinking about the speech scene...
lol, I love Ann Magnuson and Bongwater.
Deadly Spawn ❤
Cool Rax shirt I’ll never forget the Uncle Alligator meals!!!!
Deadly spawn has the best soundtrack ever 🙌
I don't know if its the same for everyone else, but often times when I "create wind" people swear I'M (or at least my butt) is demon possessed...
As a Brit I'd just like to say there was nothing wrong with that British accent. Might check out the film now just to see if it holds up throughout!
Yeah seemed legit to me

Thanks!
I dig the Rax t-shirt. "Mr. D"
Great 👍 thanks 🙏
Yeah, Bowie would still be alive, but he would have never made Labyrinth and think of all the albums we wouldn't have had if he'd been in a coffin.

I would have enjoyed The Hunger without susan
27th!
where's the beard? 😢
I guess they called it ‘American nightmare’ because Canada is in the continent known as AMERICA?
Yes, but Canadians don’t refer to things that happen there as “american.” They either call it Canadian, or specify “North America.”
Nice Rax shirt!
OMG a Rax tshirt!!!!
🥰🎬🥰
There's a few sequel novels to The Hunger and frankly they all stink. The movie isn't that great either.
