I only came across Friar Allesandro's beautiful voice a few days back, singing Gounod's ' Ave Maria ' and ' Oh Holy Night ', both of which he performed magnificently. I have (Saint) Francis (of Assisi) as my confirmation name. Just one point I would like to raise with the content of the interview. Why on Earth did the show's host choose to bring up the issue of possible temptation/s ? Particularly the temptation of women, and I'm sure quite a few men, who would recognise Friar Alessandro's handsomeness. It reduced the interview to salaciousness. This man has given his life to God, we do not need to know of any temptations which are placed in his way. We should only be concentrating on his beautiful voice.
What's the problem? As the brother says, temptation is everywhere. The question enabled him to show his humanity as well as God's grace in his life. And I am sure it is a question that many people have.
