Hey Adam, i thought I recognised the reg number then realised I owned this car back in 1995! I do have a couple of photos but unsure how to post them! I bought it off my Dads work colleague for £3500! It had cloth trim back then and was completely standard and unmolested! What a bargain!!! At the age of 22 it was my dream car, and still is at 50 yr old haha!! Values were starting to recover around 1995 after being virtually uninsurable in the early 90’s, I remember getting quotes of £1500, still a lot of money then but just about doable for a 22 yr old! However an impending first house purchase and the lure of a decent profit saw me sell it on shortly for £4750 (I think) after advertising it in the autotrader magazine, remember that! I remember the landline blowing up early in the morning so it must have been too cheap!! I sold it to a guy that had a E30 M3, but wanted a Cossie as a daily user to save running the mileage up on his M3! I did own a moonstone 3dr and a moonstone J plate 4x4 sapphire in the late 90’s, both lovely low mileage examples, best cars I’ve ever owned and could then be bought at around £7000-£8000 ish , hind sight eh?!! Good luck with the rebuild and will watch with interest! Paul
The last bit, Paul and you, old slapstick, no CCTV in them days 😂, next vid, Paul's revenge! Someone is either to young or forgot they changed household wire colouring a bit back and that's an old car now 🙄, seeing the TOAD fob, I was have me a few moments. She coming on nicely 👍 So, how much the bumper really cost or what your have to do to earn it 😁
I know someone who has one of these Sierra Cosworth' s since new in 89/90 . In his garage white with black leather. 4x4 and reg number G444***. Its like a family heirloom. Never gets used.
Another great video, and nice to see you and Paul in a funny clip😅 the sapphire is slowly coming back to life, nice to see, takes me back to when I worked in an RS Ford dealer when they were new👍
I agree with the other lads but if you could rub down and fix the rust on the boot lid that's on your car then I'm sure you'd get a pretty penny for the one that you don't want to touch
Hey Adam absolutely stellar job on your vids mate. But just a quick one re the cotton hose. The reason ford did this was to reduce expansion of the rubber hose and help maintain fuel pressure. I’d use it or use as braided😉
Great video, as always I really enjoyed watching it, the Saph is improving every time we see it, I really liked the comedy caper at the end of the video, it was very funny😂.
Just a quick one loved the video progress is really good, If you have only crimped the connectors for the fuel pump it could end up with water getting into the the crimped joint and causing corrosion down the wire I would also solder the crimp connector
Something I've done in the past is to cover the Kunifer hard lines with black heat shrink tubing. Once it's shrunk it makes the lines look like the original plastic lines.
Back in the mid 90s there was a ford breaker near me who had sapphire cossies complete cars stacked on top of each other mot failures blown heads etc etc crazy to think how much all that stock would be worth now mind boggling
Loved the video again lol!!!! Glad you didn’t use the silicon hose on the fuel system would hate to see any fire problems after your hard work!!! Glad I mentioned it in the other video and chuffed you saw it. If you’re ever really stuck for parts I work for Ford Parts Plus if I can help 👍🏻
I don't know if it's the same for the cossie but I have an early 2.8i capri (bought in August 1991) and the fuel pump primes when turned on the ignition. The later 2.8i ones prime when cranking engine over.
Top man Adam the car is looking so good but I don't think the 2 Ronnie's have got 2 worry about you & Paul just 4 the time being & Adam wtf was that running action 😉
Is there an impact cut off switch in the spare wheel well? I had a Twink Sierra and did quite a bit of forest rally marshalling. If the car grounded out on big bumps it would pop the impact switch which cut the fuel pump.
@@Gary_Bocking, yep, that's where it is. Always fun in the middle of a Welsh forest having to unpack all your camping and marshalling gear to lift up the boot floor to reset the impact switch.
Not here to criticise, enjoy the channel! Ref fuel pump wiring get some ratchet type terminal crimpers and heat shrink terminals for under the car, anything else destined for trouble! Enjoying the series 👍
Forgot to say F275PTW Escort RS turbo in your previous videos was also mine, bought off a mate in 1995 just after I sold the Sapphire, it’s small world!! got photos of it back in the day too!!!
Funny video Adam! It must take time putting these together. I think you should protect those elec terminals at the pump or they will rust very quickly. I would put heatshrink on the end of the wire/tag and then overseal the connection when connected with something like Dynax 50.
Hello! Great video as usual! You should invest in a proper cutter - they are about £80 on ebay maybe cheaper , look like garden shearers but with long arms :) . You can also get hose finishers with a hose clip at the end neatly hidden also best to tighten hose clips right at the end of the hose.
Great video this one. The sequence at the end must have taken time. Loved the use of humor to break up what is otherwise a straight forward vlog video.
i was shouting at the telly, the pump sounds wrong, ie backwards, but u worked this out british cars - black earth, german cars - brown earth, bloody germans... nick your lass's hair dryer for softening things up, they work at a safe temperature recheck your hoseclips after six weeks, they will of "bedded in" to the new hoses keep it up young man
All the work you’ve done on the back underneath looks that good the rest now looks ruff . It’s a rabbit hole once you start making it look good 1 bit at time. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍👍👍

Dont be soft, get that boot lid painted and on your car. Its a boot lid, not a Picasso.
i agree get it on your car your only on the planet once ,get that rusty one off and sold
I agree with the other lads but if you could rub down and fix the rust on the boot lid that's on your car then I'm sure you'd get a pretty penny for the one that you don't want to touch
What's a Citroen Picasso got to do with this!?... 😏
@RayVonDj not sure if your just being funny or not but a piccaso is an artist and his art is some of the most expensive in the universe! 🫣
@@jonathangalloway6796 Its called "satire" ;)
The bumper caper at the end with Paul was hilarious 😂 👍
That ending legging it with Pauls bumper 🤣

Loved the end of the video mate that was well unexpected and well filmed aswell 👌🏻👍🏻
Just a quick one loved the video progress is really good, If you have only crimped the connectors for the fuel pump it could end up with water getting into the the crimped joint and causing corrosion down the wire I would also solder the crimp connector
Loved the ending...Wasn't expecting that! Your a cheeky chappie Adam. I think Paul is onto you though buddy.
Something I've done in the past is to cover the Kunifer hard lines with black heat shrink tubing. Once it's shrunk it makes the lines look like the original plastic lines.

There's no fuel cut off in the boot fella.
There are on some Sierras, under the spare wheel If I remember correctly
@@Gary_Bocking, yep, that's where it is. Always fun in the middle of a Welsh forest having to unpack all your camping and marshalling gear to lift up the boot floor to reset the impact switch.
