it would be more accurate to let the phone cool down back to the first temperature you recorded for the first game. Because temperature also affects cpu and gpu performance. Or charging back up to 100% after every game then letting the phone cool down to the initial temperature before the first game. Turning on AC set to 27°C also helps a lot with accurate testing. Having a standard and constant (to the degree that that is manageable) room temperature. Because say if your room temperature was 33°C then your phone will heat up much faster than it would if the room temperature was 27°C. Also if the peak temperature of the phone was 42°C at 27°C room temp. then at 33°C room temp. the peak temperature for the phone will be much higher If the goal was accurate testing and results that is. Normal user wouldn't care and just jump into another game straight up

Hey impressive video! Considered buying this but it doesn't have an under display fingerprint since I got bored of the mounted side one. Is there any budget gaming phone with this feature that you can recommend? I only focus on good performance and good battery life.
Hey thank you for watching first of all! Unfortunately I haven't tested much phones but another alternative I really want to try is the Realme GT2 Pro which happens to have in-display fingerprint sensor. It doesn't have physical triggers though, but looks like a very, very solid phone nonetheless
the framerate when playing genshin is not because of the chipset, it's the OS. Xiaomi purposely limit the phone performance and lock the framerate under 45fps after 15 minutes when Playing Genshin (Yes, they specifically target this game) to avoid overheating, but now they've unlocked it and removed the limit, so your game should be stable in 50-60 FPS.
I did enjoy the video and love all of your content. Here comes the "but"... It isn't actually 2 hours of total continuous playtime. During the period where you're shutting the game, clearing all background activity, loading the new game and actually getting to game play the phone is constantly cooling. How do you think about the heat and battery performance test? I consider buying this for semi casual using, switching between social media, chat, and gaming usage. Will the battery sufficient enough? Especially for outdoor using (forest, sea, onshore). Will the heat stay "normal" under those circumstances?
So far the battery has been performing within my expectation for a 120Hz phone, which is about once a day if you're using your phone lightly (browsing, social media, etc) but for gaming it's generally about 20% drop per hour I can't test the phone to your outdoor scenarios, but I've constantly used the phone as a map while driving, (that's GPS, mobile data, high brightness, relatively high heat sunray) and so far I've never had the phone heat up anywhere near while I'm gaming which is good!
@@ahmadyassin891 it's very good. The performance is smooth and handles the demanding games very easily. Especially the software and apps which are exclusive to xiaomi are so so good
Yeah absolutely, and prices has gone down to if you like something bassy but still balanced, though honestly you can also get the 3SE which has gotten a chip update so it's cheaper but doesn't sound too different Otherwise hmm with Soundoeats Mini Pro you got ANC/Transparency but sound isn't as good, so yeah it's about what you need more I think
Concerned at the number of people reporting overheating issues with this model but not sure what they are doing to the Poco to cause this as overheating does not seem to be an issue after watching your review.
I'm planning to buy a new flagship phone ... first i was gonna buy poco f4 gt when it launches but then i cahnged my mind to iphone 13.... i dont focus on camera that much... so which one should i buy or invest more to go for 13 pro or wait months for iphone 14...
It has no issues running these games at the stock max settings. If the point is to stress test you should use Grid Autosport or Alien Isolation and manually crack the game to 120fps maxed out settings through the config file. Then you'd actually see it struggle and heat up..
Well, the 8 gen 1 do capable of running genshin at 60fps even at high settings, but the chip will get to hot for a phone. So most of the phone manufacturer deciced to tune the chip down in order to keep the device cool
I have only briefly tried the capacitive triggers on the ROG but in my opinion having a real, tactile button is really irreplacable. Though it comes with extra moving parts to fail and less water resistance compared to ROG that is less likely to fail
Yeah, i was about to say the same thing, my frinds told me poco phone have heavy specs but comes with a heating issue and i hope it isnt in f4 gt, Do you know which is better tho?
Can you please tell, how settings you have done on gameturbo? because i play my hero academia strongest hero, and he get's hot, what settings you've have done? standard, balance, high quality? thanks....
I put the settings on Game Turbo at default, only changed the in-game overlay to performance, *and then* I adjusted the settings from inside the app. I found this to be more reliable when tweaking game settings

Hello my friend, which phone do you recommend for me? POCO f4 gt Redmi k50/pro Xiaomi 12 Between this phones? For battery life, gaming and audio and software updates?
For Redmi K50 Pro it's easy the POCO F4 GT is the international version and will get global OS releases alongside google play and everything. Now to Xiaomi 12 it's a question of whether you want a more gaming focused design (POCO) or for general purpose (Xiaomi)
Both are really good in my opinion, I am trying to get in touch with Realme to review their GT2 Pro as well I think it depends on whether you want the shoulder button or not, because as a general phone for social media and everything I see the Realme as the winner here
Yes but like I said since I've observed that most games will use 4gb normally and really the max is 6gb of RAM you shouldn't notice a difference as long as you clear up all the apps before gaming
First time seeing a phone video where they actually play genshin content outside the games intro. Definite sub with the channel. Looking forward for future reviews with newer phones of 2023

Hello Keen! After using this phone for the past weeks I can definitely say it is amazing for daily use as well, you basically put it to charge 5 mins before sleeping (or after you wake up up to you), then you get all the battery you need for the day In case you game or use the camera a lot, another quick 5 mins top up would be enough!

ive been using poco f series since f1 till now f3 and im planning to get this f4 gt but im afraid to do so because of temperature now my f3 is too hot to handle literally when playing genshin impact at 60 fps even i use my black shark fun cooler 2 pro my thumb hurts and feel like burning... the heat on the back of the phone is bearable because of the cooler but the screen heats up too much..im afraid that this might happen on f4 too maybe i can sacrifice a lower snapdragon 888 of rog phone 5 and a higher price tag. What do you think am i on a wrong decission? or its better to save money again on poco phone..
Haha I would love to compare it to other flagships but I think it will take a while until I can get there. This is the first time I've reviewed a phone close to launch date afterall, it is just the start! 🙌🏻 (okay I could compare it to my personal 13 Pro Max but that's about it haha)
I purchased the 8GB/128GB version and I have to say that after a month of owning the device, I'm very impressed with it. The amount of Pros massively outweighs the Cons... If there are any that is! And when you think about all the extra features you get for your money, it's mind blowing. To think that you could buy a Samsung Galaxy S23 or you could buy 5 Poco F4 GTs, that kinda puts the sheer value of the device into very clear perspective!
True, the phone is a beast in gaming, however I HIGHLY advise not emulating games such as Zelda, Ark, or little nightmares on it. This caused the F4 GT to overheat and self-shutdown. Unless you have a way of lowering the quality and optimizing these games to the maximum, they’ll easily reach 60+ fps without turning the phone into a furnace.

Otherwise hmm with Soundoeats Mini Pro you got ANC/Transparency but sound isn't as good, so yeah it's about what you need more I think
Concerned at the number of people reporting overheating issues with this model but not sure what they are doing to the Poco to cause this as overheating does not seem to be an issue after watching your review.
Greetings in Indonesian? Like It bruh!
Hahaha mantap mantap
Thank you so much for this review. I will buy this phone for sure.
Thank you very much for this. Now I'm really gonna buy it.
Best Review I've watch so far, the detail is keen, hoping for more videos like this with other phones like redmagic 7 supernova
Really appreciate the kind words! Will absolutely do the same when I got the chance to review other phones as well 😁
So between POCO X3 GT and POCO F4 GT. Which one is overall better?
It's an incomparably overwhelming victory of f4 gt, and x3 gt is a shutdown issue
Hey man what's the max FPS for the smooth graphic in PUBG? , i'm looking forward to buy it because it has L1R1
very good channel (I'm from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷)
Thank you very much! 😆🙏🏻
wow, this once's solid. can you make also a solid and detail review on redmi k50/50pro while playing genshin impact?
I appreciate you! Unfortunately I don't have the K50 to test out but for real tho this F4 GT is the same as K50 Pro right?
@@namedkenn yes it’s just rebranded for global
@@namedkenn F4 GT is actually a rebrand of Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. The Pro one is using Dimensity 9000.
@@blltz and that's what we're waiting for 😆
i love this channel since firsdt time watch this video, continue it bro, congra
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support and I'll try my best not to let you down 😆
Great video.. something different to your normal stuff. thanks..
Can you tell me if Poco F4 GT worth to buy and how is the price ?
I am surprised you are actually a genshin player. This is one of the best genshin gaming tests i have seen on youtube period.
Haha well 🤣 I’m glad that all the time I spent for planning the vid was worth your while!
I'm planning to buy a new flagship phone ... first i was gonna buy poco f4 gt when it launches but then i cahnged my mind to iphone 13....
i dont focus on camera that much... so which one should i buy or invest more to go for 13 pro or wait months for iphone 14...
Damn... That's a solid Genshin Impact stress test on Poco F4 GT! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I'm glad you think so! I could immediately think of several improvements but that'll be for next time then 😁
Ca u do cod?and see how many fps it got?
Pls reply bcs I want to buy one what is best poco x3 pro or poco f4 gt?
It has no issues running these games at the stock max settings. If the point is to stress test you should use Grid Autosport or Alien Isolation and manually crack the game to 120fps maxed out settings through the config file. Then you'd actually see it struggle and heat up..
Bro which half in ear you recommend to buy now with good sound quality
I'll have an updated video in the coming weeks but for now the Soundpeats TrueAir 2 is still amazing
Well, the 8 gen 1 do capable of running genshin at 60fps even at high settings, but the chip will get to hot for a phone. So most of the phone manufacturer deciced to tune the chip down in order to keep the device cool
hi, do you think physical triggers on the poco f4 gt is better than those capacitive triggers on the ROG?
I have only briefly tried the capacitive triggers on the ROG but in my opinion having a real, tactile button is really irreplacable. Though it comes with extra moving parts to fail and less water resistance compared to ROG that is less likely to fail
I am happy to see this Video. Very nice . Thank you
So nice of you, thanks for stopping by and watching as well! 😁
Nice review on genshin btw what app did you use to monitor the fps thanks
Glad to hear that, that's Power Monitor which is a built in tool in MIUI's developer settings
Thank you for a very solid and detalied review. Greetings from Philippines! 🇵🇭
I'm really glad it was helpful! Greetings from Indonesia as well 🇮🇩
Hello which do you think would be better blackshark 4 pro or pocophone f4 Gt?
Yeah, i was about to say the same thing, my frinds told me poco phone have heavy specs but comes with a heating issue and i hope it isnt in f4 gt,
Do you know which is better tho?
What would you recommend? Black Shark 4 or Poco F4?
Black Shark 4 has a better screen and refresh rate
Can you please tell, how settings you have done on gameturbo? because i play my hero academia strongest hero, and he get's hot, what settings you've have done? standard, balance, high quality? thanks....
I put the settings on Game Turbo at default, only changed the in-game overlay to performance, *and then* I adjusted the settings from inside the app. I found this to be more reliable when tweaking game settings
@@namedkenn ok thanks, try balanced on gpu turbo it's the best
your english so smooth, didn't realize u are my fellow countryman haha. Joke aside, great in-depth review u covered almost every aspect i want to know about this phone. Any idea when can i buy this phone in Indo?
Haha thanks Ray! I'm really glad you got what you came for, it's still not out in Indo though but hopefully it'll come soon!
Hello my friend, which phone do you recommend for me?
POCO f4 gt
Redmi k50/pro
Xiaomi 12
Between this phones? For battery life, gaming and audio and software updates?
For Redmi K50 Pro it's easy the POCO F4 GT is the international version and will get global OS releases alongside google play and everything. Now to Xiaomi 12 it's a question of whether you want a more gaming focused design (POCO) or for general purpose (Xiaomi)
I chose this not Xiaomi 12. I bought it 3 weeks ago and I'm really happy about it
What is the name of fps shower app ? Plz . And does it work on vivo s1 pro ?
I can say that it’s in MIUI’s developer settings, but not sure about other OS
Did you try playing rise of kingdom with it?
Which better realme gt 2 pro or xiaomi f4 gt... Im so confusing to choose this... Can you give opinion or advise...please help me.. 😌
Both are really good in my opinion, I am trying to get in touch with Realme to review their GT2 Pro as well
I think it depends on whether you want the shoulder button or not, because as a general phone for social media and everything I see the Realme as the winner here
iPhone 11 or this???? Which to buy. Coming from iPhone 7
iphone 12 is
Do you think that the performance is better than iphone 13 and asus rog?
Can't say in comparison to ROG but I can definitely do a comparison video with my 13 Pro Max 😁
If i choose the 8gb+128gb version, does it good ?
The version that you tested in the video is 12gb+256gb right ?
Yes but like I said since I've observed that most games will use 4gb normally and really the max is 6gb of RAM you shouldn't notice a difference as long as you clear up all the apps before gaming
@@namedkenn ok so 12gb+256gb is the best version. Thank you ! ^^
Very helpful video thank you !
P.s. Bro got godly genshin acc😳
New subscriber here! Can I ask what application you used in recording the fps on your device?
Thanks for the sub! For the tool it is called power meter and you can find it in MIUI’s developer settings
First time seeing a phone video where they actually play genshin content outside the games intro. Definite sub with the channel. Looking forward for future reviews with newer phones of 2023
As a fellow Genshin player it's really something that I wanted to show and I'm glad it connects well with a lot of people! Definitely look out for more tests in the future, and thanks for the sub 😁
hey bro im deciding between xiaomi buds 3 lite and haylou gt 1. (they are at the same price 24$ )which one should i buy? i want good bass for edm music.
I'd go for Xiaomi for the better build quality, but it's got quite an elevated treble (along with bass), but really these days don't get the Haylou GT1, at least consider GT3 instead
What app you are using for FPS meter?
That's power metrics in MIUI's developer settings
What did u use to see your fps sir?
Hey what app are you using to overlay the fps ?
You can use it in developer setting then activate the power monitor
so do you recommend this phone to play all kind of games?
Generally yes, since it sports the latest chip and a pretty nice heat management system
@@namedkenn NICE! I'm Waiting mine from amazon, how many hours of play did you get?? Oh and make the charching test if you can, im so curious (sorry the english)
@@namedkenn bro anoche question, how did you unlock that ultra fps settings? I have never seen trata before
Awesome video man.. I have the phone and I don't think I am getting similar experience as you did.. I feel frame drops.. Can you please share what app are you using for the FPS counter or if it is not an app how did you do it? I just want to test it for my self. Thanks!
I figured it out thanks.

My current device is Lenovo Legion Duel and I'm playing a lot of genshin impact but the heating issues bothers me so much. Is it worth it to switch to this unit?
Hello , About apex legend from "Golden reviewer" vid from his test he said poco f4 gt will drop frame from around 3 minutes onward which is very different from your vid so which one is true?
I can't say about others but in my experience there are no difference between the first 3 minutes and later, and you can see for yourself in this video
haylou w1 vs realme buds air 2 neo?
which one I should buy??? please reply me, I want better sound quality and bass
Depends on whether you want ANC or not, honestly the Haylou W1 sounds waaaay better than Realme
Hello! I don't do games on mobile. If I get this, would the F4 GT last long for communication and social media use?
Hello Keen! After using this phone for the past weeks I can definitely say it is amazing for daily use as well, you basically put it to charge 5 mins before sleeping (or after you wake up up to you), then you get all the battery you need for the day
In case you game or use the camera a lot, another quick 5 mins top up would be enough!
Good job! Actually i'm using poco f3 and w8ing for f4 gt discount or f5
Good video review. Keep it coming
Thanks Collin! Will do 💪🏻
Finally someone actually made some solid review on Genshin impact with poco , Hope they drop poco or blackshark with dimensity 9000 somehow..... That would sold me old but for now.... mehh just gonna wait a bit longer and see the miracle in upcoming month.
Soon poco f4 pro
@@username22571 havent heard anything about it ,Still i dont want anything to do with snapdragon for now.
@@flameboss555 currently xiaomi has applied for redmi k50 and k50 pro to be sold globally.. since poco f series is rebrand of redmi k50s series soo high chance for it to be sold globally
Glad the video was helpful! Though like you said I am highly curious about Dimensity 9000 and let's see if they'll bring this K50 variant globally
@@flameboss555 interesting, why do you prefer dimensity but not Snapdragon?
do you think it will beat nubia redmagic 7 in terms of performance
No..redmagic 7 so much better..I just buy Poco f4 GT and I'm so disappointed the performance ..easy hot
@@alsz9420 Thank you Very helpful answer
Can u try blackshark 4 maxing out all graphics? And codm battle royale
Did it include performance mode?
Gostei muito do seu vídeo, vê que esse celular me deixa bastante feliz porque eu irei comprá-lo esse mês, e finalmente irei largar o meu Samsung J5 e irei para uma máquina chamada Poco F4 Gt
What app did u use to measure the fps Kenneth?
That's power metrics in developer settings
Out of topic, should i get qcy t10 pro or 1more piston buds? Considering both at the same price range
Are we talking about the old old T1 Pro or T10? Because I'm not sure if there is T10 pro
And honestly nowadays QCY has come out with newer nicer models so those should be amazing (haven't tried it though) as for PistonBuds they have amazing mics but they are bass heavy, so get it if you like it
i personally only had bad experiences with QCY :(
Thank you for a great review of this phone! I'm still waiting my poco f4 gt to arrive. 🤧
Thank you for watching! I hope you'll love yours 😆
How was your gaming experience on your phone? I wanna buy it but everyone says it would be overheated on games
@@lozcocaine354 It does overheating but under control. You are still able to enjoy the game. I don't recommend you to play heavy games when the battery hits 10% and below. My experiences so far are good but it is not the best gaming phone.
@@laicigaming Thanks for your Help.
So I think I'm gonna buy it soon
What's your recommended settings for Genshin?
I have no problem playing at Highest 30fps but if you want a smoother and cooler experience High or Medium wouldn’t be too bad
which do u prefer this poco f4 gt or the redmagic 7 obsidian? kinda confusing
Red magic 7 is superior
@@joshuyee8197 but same processor why
Both are very good. But remember Xiaomi is big company and they do update and keep their software clean.
Nice review!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Hello good Sir! I would like to get this for Egg NS Switch gaming but I get that thermals issue all the time. I guess this is not the recommended phone for that purpose?
What app enables you to show these information on screen?
It's the power metrics tool available in the developer settings of MIUI (not sure with other brands)
@@namedkenn Thanks! I have the POCO X3 GT and I'll look for it in the developer options.
Can you try playing while doing screen record with max resolution and frame rate?
That’s what I want to avoid as screen recording takes a considerable amount of system resources and will make the testing invalid as it doesn’t portray the result you’ll get
i have a question is it still the same likenin the video even when the ram is 8gb and 128 storage? since we could not afford the higher ones
What version of Poco f4 gt is that 8 gb ram + 128 gb storage or 12 gb ram + 256gb storage
I've shown you the specs at the start which is the 12+256 one 🙏🏻
@@namedkenn ok
Finally, a detailed genshin impact review on this phone. Most reviews i see were just beginners account. They just run around the map and say that it is good.
Glad you appreciated it! I still feel like I didn't do enough justice though, next time I'll do a more in depth review for just playing genshin in different aspects! 😁💪🏻
ive been using poco f series since f1 till now f3 and im planning to get this f4 gt but im afraid to do so because of temperature now my f3 is too hot to handle literally when playing genshin impact at 60 fps even i use my black shark fun cooler 2 pro my thumb hurts and feel like burning... the heat on the back of the phone is bearable because of the cooler but the screen heats up too much..im afraid that this might happen on f4 too maybe i can sacrifice a lower snapdragon 888 of rog phone 5 and a higher price tag. What do you think am i on a wrong decission? or its better to save money again on poco phone..
subscribed!🙌
Thank you very much! 🙏🏻
i love Apex legend moblie and could u test it on realme GT2 Pro? and compare with some another flagship? TFR
Haha I would love to compare it to other flagships but I think it will take a while until I can get there. This is the first time I've reviewed a phone close to launch date afterall, it is just the start! 🙌🏻
(okay I could compare it to my personal 13 Pro Max but that's about it haha)
I purchased the 8GB/128GB version and I have to say that after a month of owning the device, I'm very impressed with it.
The amount of Pros massively outweighs the Cons... If there are any that is!
And when you think about all the extra features you get for your money, it's mind blowing.
To think that you could buy a Samsung Galaxy S23 or you could buy 5 Poco F4 GTs, that kinda puts the sheer value of the device into very clear perspective!
К минусам можно отнести слабую автономность очень быстро разряжается телефон
True, the phone is a beast in gaming, however I HIGHLY advise not emulating games such as Zelda, Ark, or little nightmares on it. This caused the F4 GT to overheat and self-shutdown. Unless you have a way of lowering the quality and optimizing these games to the maximum, they’ll easily reach 60+ fps without turning the phone into a furnace.
