He really looked like he was enjoying the match. He seemed to be playing with Oman. Too bad that shot at 4:48 didn't stay on target. It should have been a goal.
Well, Berhalter has been frustrated by the lack of a player on the roster who can provide the long diagonals that he loves, so I'm not too surprised to see McKennie sent out on the field with the instructions to try a diagonal at every available opportunity... He looks OK. The Italians though are frustrated by his lack of offensive production for a midfielder, so what Berhalter really needs to be focusing on is teaching Wes how to finish with his feet. McKennie is athletic, but the lack of finishing technique with anything but his head is killing him as a #8.
obviously can't take much away from this game but just wanted to put this one out there because it's such a fun performance to watch back. a classic
Best USMNT long-ball specialist since Michael Bradley
Air Weston! 🤌🏼
I have never seen McKenney looks so good before. Just fun to watch
Man if he ever manages to clean up his short passing game he'd be a complete midfielder.
This is an underrated comment.
