Good stuff Paul. Tomorrow I put tape on my poles. Thanks for continuing to do these

It is amazing how much damage our paraglider wings will take and still fly reasonably safely back to the ground. There is a video of the aftermath of a mid-air collision where almost 1/3 rd of the wing tore from end to end separating from the main wing and the thing still was flying enough where the pilot did not need to throw his reserve to get down safely. Incredible.

Awesome vlog Paul!! Makes me miss Austria so much (I'm from Sydney) I spent a lot of time there exactly 2 years ago, autumn is so stunning, keen for more hike and flys.

leaves helm and rescue to save weight..
    brings drone instead.
    nice priorities! :)

Another amazing video. Did you make it on time to your appointment? LOL Thanks for the idea about using the duct tape!

Excellent. Really appreciate the quick comment about helmet use. Free flight! Really interesting to see the reality of a couple aborted take offs-not everything smooth, even for an X-Alps pilot.

Mega cooles Video aber wie du am Anfang sagst das du wenig zeit hast und dan kommen so geile Aufnahme. Wollte mal fragen wan du zum fliegen angefangen hast, da ichs echt geil finde wie du unterwegs bist.

Fun! Who was flying the drone? I think I would have spent longer laying the glider out before I attempted to take off, seeing as I have to buy my own gliders :-)

+Tim Pentreath I'm flying the drone myself- there was nobody with me up there. Cheers

Thanks for replying... I only ask because at 6:25 it didn't look as though you were flying it (although in the next scene I realise you filmed yourself catching it :--) )
