Film Brain reviews a movie so bad, he’s got back-up in the form of Rap Critic! Season 4, Episode 2.
#MartinLawrence #BigMommasHouse #BigMommasLikeFatherLikeSon #BrandonTJackson #FaizonLove #KenJeong - Фільми й анімація
This review was originally posted in March 2012, and was filmed at MAGfest that particular year (Set Up, the second crossover with Rap Critic, was filmed the subsequent year). This is a re-edited version that runs 3m 31s shorter than original, and has been upscaled to HD and had significant noise reduction applied to reduce background camera noise. There has also been substantial cuts to the film clips, and I've removed a few jokes that I felt may have been a little too much. Hope you enjoy!
"jokes that have been a little too much"? Now I have to look up my copy of the original and see what you mean ;)
Brilliant. You should also consider uploading Diary of the Dead.
@@kurtdenter1799 - Do let us know which jokes he meant. :P
I can’t say I’m a huge fan of the George Lucas treatment you give these classic episodes, but I understand why you do it.
Will you be making anymore Bad Movie Beatdown videos?
“This drying paint is awesome.” I love that joke.
6:00 Can we all appreciate the incredible comedic timing the Rap Critic has?
My favourite Channel Awesome video was a collaboration between Film Brain, Linkara and Nash, with Rap Critic there just for comedic skits.
@@hewhodestroysmorale764 which video was that?
17:05 Both of the White Chicks are more believable girls than this guy.
nah
I don't know what's more painful: that this exists, or that White Chicks is _sooo_ much more watchable than this.
Man, I miss regular BMB episodes.
Man, I remember watching this at home years ago and thinking it was so funny. Now I’m embarrassed about thinking it was good.
The characters are so idiotic, the story is contrived as hell, the attempt to make it a semi-musical made no sense, and worst of all, there was absolutely ZERO demand for a third BMH movie!
Why in the hell would Trent think it would be a genius idea to ambush his father on the job? Why couldn’t he just waited to go on his date after the criminals were caught? How come the criminals didn’t put two and two together after seeing “Charmaine” walk out of the same closet within a minute of Trent going in? Aughhhhh! These people are morons!
Thank goodness we’ll never get anymore of these stupid stupid movies!
I think the reason why they made the naked body suit so detailed was for things like that very scene so his cover wouldn't be so blown or something.
But how would they anticipate a situation like that?
I sort of found out some time after watching this review that "Deadmeat" was played by Max Casella.
I guess you gotta find someway to pay the bills once they stop making Jak and Daxter games.
I'm guessing The Sopranos didn't pay that much 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@ jbiehlable
Damn he deleted his comment
Your review was funnier---MUCH funnier---than the movie itself!
Big Mommas House 3 is just as Bad as Deck The Halls because there Both Directed by John Whitesell, it’s one of the the worst films of 2011 Including Bucky Larsen, Just Go With It, Spy Kids 4, Unknown, Hangover Part 2, Alvin And The Chipmunks 3, Red Riding Hood, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2, Fast 5, Sanctum, Something Borrowed, And Twilight Breaking Dawn: Part 1
Thanks for uploading this one, Film Brain. One of my favorite reviews. I remember when it came out too, right after the crossover you did with JesuOtaku for Sucker Punch. Gotta say, that review wasn't very good, and not just for the fact that J.O. was incessantly mean to Film Brain for no reason, but the whole plot of them being trapped together and forced to review a film has been done to death. It was refreshing to see THIS review with Film Brain and Rap Critic: no plot, just a review, and the two actually collaborate and work together, rather than antagonize each other.
I love this. I know it was filmed in 2012 but it really looks more like 2004-2006 😂. But the low production value is part of the charm!
Honestly, I kind of miss seeing newer movies that have this sort of charm.
I love this episode! Both you and Rap Critic were really hilarious.
''YAY'' BadMovieBreakdowns are probably my favorite of your series!!!
First one was good. Second one was better and I cringe at the thought of watching the 3rd one
Wait.... you mean there were 3 of these movies?
I ran across this on Hulu and initially thought it was a straight to video film.
Well, on the upside, at least Brandon T. Jackson has stated he regrets making this movie.
4:28 lamest excuse for a character being absent ever
15:32 That reaction was Hilarious and priceless!!!
I used to watch your videos back in 2012 -2013 back on TGWTG I really liked you content and it's good to see you're still around
Fan theory: Trent is a shitty character due to his father's emotional abuse.
Is this just a movie that only exists to make a quick buck while not caring about th audiance and thinking that the audiance is stupid like children or something? And to insult us black people?
Vvadoicurbal Vvadoicurbal yes
this is really awkward. i love it.
3:41 foreshadowing
This makes Madea movies look subtle by comparison.
This channel is glorious. Gloriously awesome. You guys rock. Keep up the great work. Names rasheed. 😁
Oh, hi Rasheed.
Targi Svear Hey there, brother. 😁
19:19 "Hey, let's compliment our enemy!"
Keep having that film critic in your videos.
What about when they slam the cars shifter into Reverse at 20:04 than whole rear lifts up 15 ft into the air from the front wheels suddenly locking up . WTF!!!
This should be a crossover with film brain Todd in the shadows and rap critic
Hey, here's something I just realized shows how little the cafeteria scene was thought out; what if the student was a sculptor or a painter? How would their performance go?
11:19 For the Todd in the Shadows cameo
Oh, I don't think I ever saw this one!
Part of me wants to be annoyed about stories like this forgetting that non-straight non-cis people exist, but the sensible part of me shudders to think how this movie would approach any kind of overt LGBT+ themes.
you can just forget about all of that, it's a basic insult to intelegence and dignity...
11:20 stays funny every time i watch it🤣🤣😂😂
The love interest was in Amusement...don't know which was worst
"I don't think this is paint" is not something you wanna hear while sharing your hotel room with someone.
Ohmigosh!! The "Token Blonde Bitch Character" is Angela from Mr. Robot!!
Anyone else notice Slim Shady on the background of the alleyway scene?
HUH?!
10:36 Ironically, this sudden genre shift to musical was the best part of that movie.
HI BRITISH PEOPLE!🤗
Happy Drugs and guns from America.
Hi Fat Samurai!
I hope you're doing well my friend. :)
ron sae He skinny you’re fat
15:18-15:37 This is why I keep coming back to this video. For the hilarious reactions.
I swear in original version there was about Nina Long character being a dumbass 3:08 - 3:12 but this seems it was cut to a shorter version why? Unless I got it wrong? Great classic review as always!
Because I used a word I shouldn't have in that section, which required it to be deleted, as per any time it has appeared in a re-post.
The love interest character for Brandon T. Jackson was also in A Madea Christmas.
The girl who plays Hayley was also in A Madea Christmas.
Review Norbit starring Eddie Murphy
Sweet! I've been looking for this crossover, you two are awesome together
The songs from the bully in High school musical makes more sense than this scene honestly. Also, they are entertaining and catchy; i like them ^^ Sharpey, Troy, Gabriella and theirs friends are great singers!
I didn't particulary like the first Big momma movie but it was a bit funny and the story was ok. This has nothing clever, hilarious or charming. Take all the good moments/parts of the first and you get this atrocity U-U Glad i didn't watch it!
Nice review like always, congratulation. I agree with your comments on this aweful movie too.
15:32 Your reactions were hilarious.
I like Darren Jackson , keep having him on your channel.
Hmm, if Lewis Lovhaug shot this episode, why didn’t he have a cameo as Fat Grandma? That would’ve been perfect!!!
Was Fat Grandma even an idea at that time? It was made in 2012 :S
@RunyaEithelNar No, sadly, she was not. But it would have been fitting since Lewis passes more for an old woman than the bozos in this movie.
Superman's glasses and Raphael's trench coat and fedora hat are better disguises than Big Momma's.
But he’s a lyricaaaaallll miracllllllllle🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😃😃😃😃
YES!! Finally, this one of my favorite reviews.
I have never seen an art teacher forcefully disrobe anyone....
Like father like step son
So…he’s never gonna tell Film Brain her name is pronounced “knee-ya” Nia Long
You know if Malcolm Turner had been a federal agent then he would have known that messing around with the US Postal Service was a federal crime oh wait 3:46
we all know the Rap Critic secretly has a fat suit in his closet.
I’m a miracle, I’m a lyracle.
19:40 that shift in the music was actually a little cool to hear
I’ve been waiting for this reupload for awhile!
3:40 the proof filmbrain is a evil genius
So many of the forced “comedic” hijinks in this could be easily solved if Trent just told everyone at the school he was a trans lesbian. But I guess the 2000’s weren’t ready for that 😬
This definitely would have been a different movie if they went that way. But as it is, they still could have had character development with Trent starting out as an objectivising pig but actually learns about the struggles of the women who go to the college and starts siding with them. Maybe have him afraid to do activities with them, but then finds himself liking it and hanging out with them even when he drops the disguise.
Good to see this back up. You do crossovers on shitty films well, man.
This is definitely in my top 3 favorite of your reviews. It is amazing how you can take a garbage film like this and transform it into a comedic video I have watched 20 times over the years.
2012! Oh gawd, I was 7 years younger back then.
Times flies as the old saying goes.
The fact that the guy who wrote this movie would later go on to write the Mario Movie is freaking bizarre
Wow, 2012. And Rap Critic still looks like he's 32.
What is up with comedians and crossdressing fatsuits?
Easy comedy
Because fat jokes.
in higher circles is known as the process of humiliation.. chris rock, kevin hart, eddie murphy all had done it.. chapelle had the offer but famously declined.. you can search more further into it.. there are lot examples in the movie/music/comedy industry.
Ok so about the “everyone must perform to eat” thing...... what if you were a visual artist? Would you have to go on stage and paint something, or make a sculpture??
I despise this movie. Great Review.
I hate this movie so much, one of the worst movies of 2011 for sure, thanks for tearing it apart.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon is worse than this.
Angus Ng, honestly I find that movie very forgettable. In fact I forget about it the moment I'm done watching it.
@@angusng816 I disagree. While it has pretty dumb comedy, there's at least some decent action scenes.
I'm younger then trant and I can keep my cool around hot women. I don't try anything around the cure girls in my high school
I'm a lesbian who can do that...mostly because I'm a lesbian of the "useless" variety.
@@PhoenixRising87 oof yeah then again i am keep the horn dog part of myself to wrll myself
But he’s miracle, miracle.
nice hotel room
Why did the blonde make Haley steal the music box? Just a dare or something more plot relevant?
I think it was a dare, yeah.
Was that Todd in the Shadows?
yep
now I don't feel bad about the terrible raps I did when I was 12..... I didn't kill rap... turns out I just grazed it. Martin Lawrence was holding the murder weapon along...
Wow. Just wow. When you make Raja Gosnell look like a good director, you know you done fucked up.
Wrong Like father like son movie, I thought this was a review of the 1987 one
Wait.....is the FRI played by copperhead?!
3:05 I can see the camera man! A movie mistake/continuity error!
Seeing the crew isn't a continuity error, that's things changing between shots. 😉
I despise this movie!
One of my favorite crossovers episodes
12 minutes in and dear lord, film brain, I love your work but please for the love of all that is holy, don't do drag, stick with your day job.
Film Brain can you make a new bad movie beat down.
Wasn't it Alpha Chino?

And skippin' and flippin' and dippin'
Can you look at Godzilla Planet of the Monsters??????????
wait there third one
Wait until Bad Boys 3.
Black people don't have fat suits? My whole world view is shattered...
The 1st Big Mommas House was ok but the rest are just absolute shit.
Unfortunately, a movie doing really well can actually turn out to be a bad thing in 'Hollywood'.
Meet the parents is a really good example of that. :)
@@young321bookie Indeed, lest we forget the travesty that is 'The Godfocker'
@@TheSkully343 - You loved that film really. :P
@@young321bookie Of course not.
@@TheSkully343 I think FilmBrain did a really good review of 'The Little Fockers' actually, I might watch that now.
Brandon t Jackson is a horrible actor.
2:47 and Empire
Big mommas house wasna good movie
I just need to share with someone how awful and cringe this movie was without leting them waste time, this review is the way to do it. :)
Don’t think I’ve seen this one
I enjoyed Big Mama's House series, great comedy movies to me. Underrated if you ask me. I can still get a few big laughs from all of the movies.
Billboardguy1 Blue streak from 1999 is a better example of good Martin Lawrence movies
10:28 to 10:34 So true. LOL. 😆😆😆
O my god , this is worst then Tyler Perry’s. Madea films.
Given how this would be on par with Tyler Perry's crossdressing shtick, the fact that this would turn out even worse is astonishing.
I don't know...doesn't have the phony moralizing of Tyler Perry's movies...
Tyler Perry, for all his faults, at least he wants his films to be good. This reeks of "we didn't care".
4:00, 4:02, 4:03: HA!
