You’ve done an incredible job with Taylor. Love the new colour as well. The previous owner would get a shock if he saw her now.
When you see Taylor as the finished product, it’s hard to believe it was ever an old decorators van! It is incredible what you two have achieved! Well done guys ❤
Love that bin with the switching flap for the van - very clever. Probably too late now but an option for the Lodge Bedroom windows would be a thin tension rod and a voile fabric panel. They make the rods specifically for inside window frames. Look for “tension rod” as this do not need any brackets. I checked Dunelm and they sell the rods, and the voile panels (but you would need to shorten the panel). But I am sure other places in the UK sell them
I would add to youre checklist a safety section for fire extinguisher, first aid kitt, safety jackets, etc.....job well done !
When I put the window film on my shop windows I used one that you use soapy water with and it left no bubbles, much better than adhesive stuff.
When you put that type of adhesive fail on windows it’s best to spray the glass with water with a couple of drops of dish soap first. Then you can peel it off to reposition it then get the water out with the squeegee.
You've done a fantastic job with the van guys. Well done. I hope it brings you many happy memories when your out and about

My husband uses professional silicone spray on the trims on his car that you polish off with a cloth. Working in a commercial garage he has a spray for everything. Taking cables from the back of a lorry to the cab to fit a reversing camera is part of his job. He often comes home with cuts on his hands or arms where he has got stuck in a small space in the cab, he would agree with Nick that it is a devil of a task😂
We’ve used that DC Fix to cover our kitchen counters and it is so tricky to work with. But, to avoid having bubbles you need to peel back the backing paper off in really small sections and smooth out the vinyl fully before peeling back any more. Like literally a few inches at a time. It’s time consuming and stressful but will give you the best chance for a smooth finish!

When covering your windows it’s best to use soapy water and spray it all over the window then place the cover onto the soapy water then you can manipulate it to the correct place, then when you use the scraper the water comes out leaving no air bubble and the cover stuck to the glass.
I was about to say the same thing - secret ingredient is Johnsons no tears baby shampoo - doesn’t leave any streaks on the glass like Fairy does. Soak the window with a spray, offer the unstick side to the glass so it holds it, pull the paper off, spray the glue with the same solution, then swap over and manoeuvre into place, squeegee out the water, leave to dry! 👍

Nick , when vinyl the window, you must wet the window and leave wet when applying the vinyl. Even self adhesive. The water will dry and the adhesive will stick. Because it’s wet you can manure the vinyl easier, the with the squeegee push the air out to the dudes
I used the water one it worked so much better then the sticky one and stayed on for years.
Made me laugh, bug can sod off and cathrine can p… off! Van looking great. Xxx

Great vlog. As I was watching I thought of a safety item you might consider, fire extinguisher? Just a thought not being critical ❤. I think in US they are required?🤷🏻♂️

For your windows, what about using some Rust-Oleum Frosted Glass Effect Spray or the 151 Glass Frosting Spray found at your B&Q? I've used something like this for my kitchen cabinet door windows and it worked great. So much easier than working with the film. Just double-check if the spray is permanent or how can you remove if needed.

Just bought tinted thick roll at fabric shop and cut to size used water to adhere to window. Squeegee
Hiya guys you can actually buy a spray that does much the same job it comes like the cans of spray paint but it's called (I think don't quote me) glass frosting if you do get it you might want to trial it on a mirror or something like that first to see if your happy with it I used it years ago and remember it did an ok job at the time

If you've watched the tv show The last Kingdom ( which I highly recommend, the main character Utred is worth watching it for alone 😂) Well its based on that area too. Alnwick Castle too ! Where Harry potter was filmed!

height check list You said above the MAX FAN is about two centimetres clearance on the figure you put in on the checklist. Should they be set at MAX'S HEIGHT WHERE THE WATER TAKE IS EMPTY THE WASTEWATER IS EMPTIED AND WITH A QUARTER TANK OF FUEL BECAUSE THE VAN HEIGHT WILL INCREASE QUITE A BIT WITH THEM ALL EMPTY AGAINST THEM ALL BEING FULL HAVE YOU TAKEN THIS INCONSIDERATION WITH YOUR CHECKLIST FIGURE

yes you just fill in the section on your log book and send it off you also need to advise your insurance company as it's classed as a modification
I’ll just echo what the others are saying about how great Taylor looks. I know there will be things all crap up but you’ll have to deal with, but from what I can see you’ve accomplished a great deal and ended up with a really stylish looking camper van.
Wouldnt your outside security cameras on the outside of house cover where the camper van parked , instead of using the cigarette lighter to hook the webcam to van, 🤔🤔🤔
