They don’t necessarily want the acceptance, they want riches and wealth; but they have to be accepted to access it.

They don't believe Jesus when he says that the world will hate you because of him. They think they can circumvent his words and get them to like and accept them. But it's never for the cause of Christ, it's for their own ego and enrichment.
Whew! Pastor Wooden is PREEEACHING! It's a breath of fresh air to hear a preacher not infatuated with the world...but ACTUALLY preaching against it.

I would say the same thing and be as bold. The music today sounds like secular music and it’s horrible. The pastor is right.

You are correct about the business world! Every time I was up for promotion I didn’t get it. I would later be told by other supervisors and managers “ If you don’t lay down and spread or get on your knees you will never go anywhere.” Ha!!! I stood for God and didn’t compromise my stand. God came through not then but definitely later. Good blessed me to climb that ladder by His grace and I don’t have any regrets!!! Hallelujah! I had to wait but I am so glad I did!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
There should be a difference put upon Christian worship/concerts 🤔this is why I don’t go to concerts of any kind. I’m not looking for entertainment

Most if not all gospel artists are in the "gospel music industry' not because they are Christians but because they have a talent that they can use to earn from that particular genre...so naturally, they'll want the approval of whoever will be able to grant them further success. However, they have to try and tow the lines as they don't want to lose thier target audience; christians..

If I was a reader of the words, all God, from beginning to ending, over and over again. You would think he was speaking all of God words, but most pastor teach what they don't like. I’m not understanding Bishop Wooden’s criticism. He condemns The Tribett going on the Breakfast Club and “criticizing the saints.”
However, Wooden is using this social media platform to criticize Tye. And this UA-cam channel is not restricted to Christians. Some unsaved folk will probably watch this video. So I don’t know how Wooden is any better than Tye in this respect.

I love pastor Wooden but I disagree on one thing in particular that he said in this video.
He said,
“If you’re one of those believers that says I get along better with the unsaved than the saved, then you just told me you had not been born again.”
I said this once on an old twitter account and the pastor of a church I attended here in Texas got up and said something about it that following Sunday.
He misunderstood what I was saying and it turned out he was sleeping with at least 10 women in the church that got exposed right before and during the pandemic.
My point is this, sometimes that statement doesn’t mean we are looking to get along better with the unsaved more so than the saved.
It just means it illustrates that the behavior of the professing saved in the church is sometimes worse than the unsaved because they act as if they too are unsaved.
The funny style behavior, the jealousy (described in James 4), by folks that have pastored churches and supposedly saved is pathetic because they profess to know Christ but act like spiritual bastards.
So I don’t necessarily agree with him on that point because I know without a doubt I’m saved.
And I don’t endorse the things like what Tye and Kirk do in the same way people like pastor Wooden and others do.
Now, I’m not talking about perfection here, but if a person is truly converted there should be a change.
Because friendship with the world is not talking about getting on the world’s platforms and rubbing elbows with the world.
In context, it’s referring to Christians that:
•quarrel
• create conflicts (division)
•that are jealous
• that covet
•that biblically murder
•that are envious
•that fight
This is the true definition of what James meant by friendship with the world Is enmity with God.
And that’s what I meant when I said this on my twitter post 11 years ago.

It's no different than the Christian/Gospel music industry. You will find out that the Christian/Gospel record companies are owned by secular record companies. They are actually in bed together.

I haven’t watched this video yet, so maybe it isn’t best I comment yet, but I can’t help to stroll the comments and see a bunch of critical comments about Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett and Yolanda Adams etc, but I guess my question is why??? I will say that although I’ve been baptized since youth, but was still in the world, but more recently have chose to walk with Christ, I maybe a little ignorant about the criticism, but who are you guys to wag the finger when we don’t know what it is you all are doing in your daily lives ? I’m sure y’all are some gamblers, adulterer, swearers, fornicators, thieves and so on. If those gospel singers are bad for whatever reason you are saying, please educate the crowd on what it is you all are doing to bring glory to the kingdom ? Mind you I’m not saying that this video is wrong for exposing the allegations of these artist either, I’m just saying there sounds like a lot of judgments from imperfect models.
