Thank you Kevin! With the help of your blog, I got admitted to Cockrell as a transfer student-this has been my dream school forever and I’m so happy that it’s finally happening 🤘🏽
Do they also consider the level of the college that you're transferring from? Because it is easier to get a good gpa in a community college than a tech college.
Hello and Happy Holdiays I discovered your channel while back. I want to transfer into the liberal arts department at UT next fall, I’m currently finishing up community college. I have 49 credits all together and will have about 64 credits by May, all my courses are transferable as I spoke to an advisor at my college around October. My first semester was quite rough but I didn’t fail any classes. I worked my way up and now I have a mix of A/Bs and very little Cs I did my calculations and I have a overall gpa of 3.35, almost a 3.4. I have my two essays including essay A which includes a summer fields study program where I went to Hawaii for two weeks where I received 16 credits and several projects I did during my first year at North Lake College. I have 5 recommendation letters majority of them being from a supervisor from a department at the college. I know by heart I make a good candidate but I still my have my doubts. I’m applying to several other schools as well to keep my options open. I know the liberal arts department looks at their applicants a lot more holistically and I have a good
Thank you for making this video - so helpful! I'm currently a freshman enrolled in a four-year college out-of-state majoring in Political Science and have recently submitted a transfer app. I had a question about the last point, transfer equivalencies. I contacted the Dallas branch of the admissions office over winter break and was told I could only check which courses would transfer after admission as I go to school out of state. Would that by any chance hurt my admissions chances? I have a 4.0 and currently have 30 hours of credit (I'll have 46 by the end of this semester), and, at least by my standards, put a lot of thought and effort into both my resume and essays (A and E). Thank you, again.
@@calliepatten4048What was the financial aid like for transfers? I’m thinking of potentially transferring to UT, however financial aid is my biggest concern. I’m not sure what their financial aid package would look like for me.
