Good topic Steve! The gossip thing is ridiculous in my location. I have discovered that the best way to deal with it is to completely ignore it. I retired here to relax and be happy. If for whatever reason, be it jealousy, envy, or boredom, people have nothing more important to do than talk about me behind my back, with all of the beautiful beaches, resorts, waterfalls and fun things to do around here, makes me feel pretty darn important. 😂 Makes me laugh shrug my shoulders and say wow!! Ain't I special. I've noticed that folks around here are all about reputation (saving face). For me ...(as Popey the sailor man says) I ams what I ams and that's what I ams. I'm relaxed and always happy come what may. 😂
Steve, you put out good information for the guys out there with an open mind, some common sense and an interest in a reasonably good life while getting along in another culture and society. These videos talking about location and the reasons why or why not that location is important along with a good (decent/loyal) partner and relating both to a comfortable way of life and a relatively low risk level. All of your stuff is actually related to reducing various risks and it is good stuff. Living in the Philippines is nothing like living in the U.S. and these guys need to understand as much as possible as they contemplate making a move. I have been here seven years and it has worked out really great. I eat well, I am never bored and I have no stress.
Location and a good woman make life better no matter what country you live in. Unfortunately, both get more expensive every day.😄 Love your videos. Thanks for all the good insights.
I found both. Spent 3 yrs texting, weekly video chats, now in Lapu-Lapu renting house with gf who is everything for me. Caring, compassionate and passionate.
I want to live within 20 miles of Manilia. A calm non drinker and want a relaxed life style. A have found someone who I have been talking with before 2018. I will be going there in 2023 we have vid every night this last year. Her sons are all grown up .one owens a really big store and one works on ships. the other is a truck driver. I have vid chat with all of them thru the years. She never has ask for money in all the years. We started talking as just friends for 3 years and thing have got so much better. I will be there next year.We Both have good feeling about our meeting comming up she is an OFW. Our conversations have been on everything in Life. I have a Great feeling about this.
You got it,i still believe that there are more beautiful Filipinas inside and out,it maybe harder to find nowadays but you just need to be more patient in finding one,but if you get to meet one it is a gem forever, find one that is hard working, middle age, simple living, decent, knows the value of love and respect,honest,faithful...you are a sure winner!!!
True, if you look for a bar girl to marry then prepare yourself to relive the life that she used to. Extreme poverty must be the reason why she’s in that kind of job, expect her to help her family once in a while or maybe all the time. She used to entertain other guys which probably for her doesn’t mean anything but means different for you.
The online dating is a horrible crap shoot NOW, Anyone who has been through it LATELY will tell you. Of course all the first timers will say not me, my online girlfriend loves me, lol. You may have a hard road in the PI to be single for a while until you meet someone, but remember, getting a woman is easy, getting rid of a bad one can be a horror story.
Agreed, the right location and the right woman is key to a happy life in the Philippines. Also, I have found that having a source of western food is important for health and happiness, though my wife only likes Filipino food. Thank goodness for S&R and Landers. But sorry to say, I have yet to find a sub sandwich shop in Cebu. A recent find, a great Sunday buffet at Radisson Hotel which served an incredible roast beef. We both loved it.
A man's true character is often revealed by looking at the life-partner he chooses. This choice shows if he has long-term achievable goals or is he up for immediate gratification. That reveals a character trait. The choice of a mate shows what he holds important in life. And it determines long term happiness in lift and happiness of any potential children too. It is a big deal.
Good topic Steve and you hit the nail on the head when you said "these guys chasing these younger girls" that is the problem right there. I think we all know why they are doing it and I get the whole "reliving your youthful moments" kinda thing but it's a mistake and that's putting it lightly. These goofballs think that because they are in a foreign country where laws and perceptions are much different (unfortunately) they can get away with crap that would never fly here in the states. Honestly these kinda guys deserve to get scammed and or played like a fool. Serves them right they have no business with someone 30 years their junior idc if it's acceptable there or not that is just disgusting. To me one of the pillars of a successful relationship is commonality. What can a 20 year old and a 60 year old have in common realistically?? Most likely nothing let's be honest. But anyways far as location goes I'm shooting for a happy medium. Don't wanna be directly in the city for obvious reasons and I think me being new to the Philippines being way out in the province is a bad idea as well. Good talk Steve, take care...
We don't mind being out in the Rizal province. 2 hours (if nice traffic) from MNL for anything western we need, or an SNR run, ect. But I have to say living in the farming province... the home town of my wife (so no choice really) has been great. You get to know everyone over the years, and my wife is sooo much happier being around her school batch mates and family.
What the guys used to tell me as an 18-year old youngster in Frankfurt, Germany: Why buy the cow when you're getting free (or for a set price at least) milk? Well...I'd rather look at what all there is out there and get a good lay of the land (but don't need to these days - I'm good lol)...Your perspective can be skewed by a few too many beers and bars...Good advice...👍😎👍
It gets these ladies out of pure poverty. Not forced, but sadly need money and without education turn to be a bar girl. I understand their situation but wouldn't marry one.
The background hollow blocks fence or bakod will turn very nice and green if you have climbing plants around it, in no time it will all turn green. You can buy those plants from a greenhouse if they have them in Cavite. Watching from Chicago.
I agree 110% Steve I definitely would not have moved here if it wasn’t for my girlfriend and baby I couldn’t imagine being here without her or him never would’ve moved her on my own I can tell you that
Believe it or not, I know a guy here in the U.S. who married a Filippina bar girl (dancer), brought her back. They're still together today for about 20 years. They do have a problem in the relationship. HIS drinking, and screwing up. She's stayed with him though.........Probably an extremely rare case.
Lower your standards, and take what you get. Steve, man is trained to pick the low-hanging fruit, the streets provide the fruit. Now, don't get me wrong, one never knows the fruit picked until it's tasted, you might have a winner/loser. Choosing the lifestyle is based on the needs of the individual. A wise man once said, "stupid is as stupid was" I wish any man the best in his life. The topic is understood but to each his own.
It's good to hear about your attitude about bribes. I have have, and it disgust me, but, it is just a way of life. I remember, many years ago, my sister-in-law passed some money to a bank guard, just so that I could get in a line to a teller.
Absolutely agree with you Steve. I'm a recovering alcoholic with over 3 decades of sobriety. But I know what kind of life that it is. I am looking for a good location to live. I have a lady friend whom I am meeting when I get over there. Tagahuy was my choice until I saw the rent prices there. Wow... Any ideas??
Hi Steven, you are right in that the right girlfriend makes everything easier, that is the case no matter where you live. Take care of yourself and your family. Stay safe and healthy plus as always try to have fun.
Watch "The Filipina Pea" vlog, because she has a vlog about a bar girl. Anyway, go to Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte or just anywhere in the north to get a decent girl.
Completely agree with u Steve want nothing to do with a bar girl that is a big risk and a huge rabbit hole to fall into u got about a 5% chance of making that work and a 95% failure rate know to many that went down into that hole and it was a very long long climb out of it and some were never the same
If a religious man was seeking a responsible, stable relationship with a woman, would churches be a good place to meet and vet them? Also, I sense that when you are talking about churches you are refering to Catholic ones. Are there many Protestant churches?
When your UA-cam followers show up at Manila Airport, you should pick them up in a yellow short bus, because half of them sound barely functional. No emergency money, locked phone, one credit card, no research, major health issues, crumpled up currency, and that thousand yard "which woman do I impregnate first" stare. Your patience is legendary.
What kind of people are you hanging out with that you have to teach them how to open a bank account or operate their mobile?? Maybe a better class of companions is in order. Just sayin'.

That wall behind you will look very nice if you plant climbing greeneries around the entire wall.
I found both. Spent 3 yrs texting, weekly video chats, now in Lapu-Lapu renting house with gf who is everything for me. Caring, compassionate and passionate.

I’ve seen many horror stories here.
Like church !!

What is the address of that Radisson because every now and then I need some good beef.. 👍 thanks 👍

Well explain...more power..
😂you would have to be crazy and have very low self esteem to pursue a bar girl for serious relationship 🤯
Thanks for the good advice.
Yes I agree with you and I like the way you explain it ☺️.
I agree with you Steve a bar girl is very risky business....I feel for them...but would never have a relationship with one
I agree 110% Steve I definitely would not have moved here if it wasn’t for my girlfriend and baby I couldn’t imagine being here without her or him never would’ve moved her on my own I can tell you that
Good advice as always Steve ! Greetings from Bataan !
Food for thought. Thanks.

Good day Steve.. regards to all❤️🙏🏻
Really good video. Thank you. Was the website Numbeo?

Good word man--much common sense
The Philippines have stolen my heart the people and culture had a girlfriend there amazing just wow
I was thinking about moving to either Silang Cavite, or Lancaster New City Cavite. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions about the area.
how is calamba, laguna, in the luzon province, can you give me some details of said province???
It’s nice
You can get the girl out out of the bar, however you can’t get the Bar out of the girl!! Lol 😂
How to find a good girl, when good Pinoy family avoids foreigners

Sure they are great places to meet a girl. I’m talking about all churches here. Many Christians here.
a shack that keeps me dry is good enough for me
Batangas, a good place? Santo Tomas?
Not sure of that area
I rather date a cashier than a bar girl. Then I will make her quit when she get pregnant.
My wife would not like me having a girlfriend. 🤣 But my wife, Pangasinan, will work for me.

Lol
Most are decent
No different than in the western world
I haven't worn shorts since 1982, by skinny white legs scare people 😁😁😁
If she is young enough to be your grandchild.... dont make it a relationship.
HI sir, How do i contact you?
Steven5975@yahoo.com and ask for my U.S. phone number
Go to church. Meet a nice girl.
👍
It’s okay to marry a bar 👧…. Lol. Like wow. Some men’s are so stupid. I feel sorry for them
My thoughts exactly
Hookers are for hook ups only. Keep things simple. Relationships are for filtering to get ONLY the best girl for your whole life IMO.
You might want to pressure wash that wall behind you
What kind of people are you hanging out with that you have to teach them how to open a bank account or operate their mobile?? Maybe a better class of companions is in order. Just sayin'.
It’s not as easy over here as one might think in certain situations.
Aww. That Philippine man walking by looked like he was in a lot pain and could barely walk.
He had a stroke
First!!!
Nothing wrong with having a bar girl lol 🤣
Not to marry…. Lol
NUMBEO and LIVINGCOST websites
Thanks 🙏🏻
