"Megamind" held up perfectly as a stand alone, and didn't need an unnecessary sequel over a decade later. So, of course they made it, because money talks.
I can't believe that "Madame Web" is almost a year old. If them awkwardly struggling not to mention Peter Parker or Aunt May's names wasn't cringy enough, they lazily mangled the famous quotation as "When you take on responsibility, great power will come."
How does Dakota Johnson keep getting work? She has no on screen charisma at all! Who does she know! Who is she protecting to get the acting work she gets! It's ridiculous!
The Crow did NOT need to be remade and, as a big fan of the graphic novel and original movie, it was TOTALLY DESTROYED!!! Hollywood needs to learn when to leave well enough alone and to stop ruining our classics.
THANK YOU!!!! It's about time SOMEBODY spoke up about this!!! How DARE THEY make a remake of this, knowing full well that NOBODY can replace Brandon Lee!!! He WAS The Crow!!!!🤬🤬🤬
I always thought Megamind vs The Doom Syndicate would be number 1. We waited so long for that sequel but it went bad. And Madame Web, that’s one of the movies fans NEVER asked!
No 1️⃣ Actually, "Kraven The Hunter" is what *KILLED* Sony's Spider-Man Spin-off Universe here. And yet, Sony blames us for why their films like those two we're bombing with critical response and box office numbers like it was really our faults they failed before here. Which further cemented why Sony "definitely" *DON'T* deserve those live-action rights anymore now here. I mean, *YIKES!!!!* 💀
@JavenVirtudes Well, say what you will about 3, but what I heard from it had themes and ideas, and it committed all the way to them, it just wasn't very good at doing it and got too crowded. With TASM2 from I'd being hearing about before here, got too crowded, also wasn't good at conveying it's ideas, but on top of that, it felt like a bad commercial for movies that didn't even exist yet. Because ironically, it repeated a lot of the same mistakes as 3, except it didn't have that unique voice to help it stand out. Because of it, we got a sequel that isn't just crowded and confused, but also, bland and forgettable, and, at times, pretty boring. Does that make movie 2 one of the worst movies ever made? No. Honestly, you wouldn't even call it one of the worst comic book movies ever made either here. It had some cool action and good acting, but you know where it's loyalty lied at here: to franchise it. You can franchise a series fine, but you have to be committed to a good story and ideas first. And those simply weren't in TASM2 there here. Which is a shame. Because people really liked Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man and would've like to see where the series would have gone if Sony had gotten more competent writers behind it, as well as a studio like them to had focused more on getting one film right instead of the next five. At least, that's what I'd been hearing mostly about Garfield's second solo outing as the webhead before he returned again for the third act of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" here.
@hunterrousseau3770 sorry for the rant in advance: both were sonys fault. Both examples happened the way they did but execs wanted to set up for future movies and forced both directors and writers to add more villains to start that. Sam Raimi said he knew nothing about venom, but execs wanted him and wouldn't accept a no. But i say did well for what he had. AS2, not so much. Again execs wanted all these villains and forced director to do it. Did not land as well as the former. Sony is to blame from start to finish. Casting......eh blame whoever else for Venom Foreman, Electro Foxx, and Goblin DeHaan. At least Electro got to redeem himself. Again, sorry for the rant.
The only good thing about Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate is that it gave us the funniest video from Schaffrillas Productions. And yes, that is the video where “SHOOT THEM WITH THE DEHYDRATION GUN!!!” came into our existence.

My 2024 Razzie goes to Joker: Subtitle I Can't Spell. The one redeeming factor is that the end was pretty cool (no spoilers), but that hardly makes up for sitting through 2 hours of a musical nobody asked for.
The audience of the first Joker and the one for Folie a Deux are different crowds. I liked both a lot, but it’s pretty obvious why FaD turned off the people most excited for it

"Borderlands" was the 2024 redux of 1993's "Super Mario Bros". A video game movie that strayed so far away from it's source material that is never had a hope in hell of being a success.
Both Joker and Megamind were great standalone movies about a villain that didn't require a sequel. But both got a sequel anyway with disappointing results
Tarot was worse than most of these. Madame Web was terrible but it at least had some "so silly it's fun" moments, like the girls dancing on the diner table for no reason. Tarot had such a dark color scheme that it was literally impossible to see what was going on onscreen for most of the runtime.
I couldn't even get past the first death. I only watched it because "Ned" was in it. And it bugged the Hades out of me that they portrayed Tarot cards as "evil." De-ath doesn't even mean dying in Tarot, it means change. They're not evil. I've known people who use regular playing cards for similar styles of readings.
Madame Web was supposed to be a better movie as the original script was supposed to have a Terminator type storyline where the villain goes back in time to kill a baby Peter Parker or Peter's mother before he was born. That is what Dakota Johnson signed on to, then we got this.
I feel like the games that are being "Reimaged for a Modern Audience " are suffering just as bad as these movies from the exact same mistakes ..But they usually take it to another level again
10. My god, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!!! The first Joker film was so good and it's so hard to believe that the same people with involved with this! I still stand by the first Joker film being a masterpiece because as far as sequels go, this is just a disaster!

@@jeuryrabassa4724 Have you seen the 1984 version of Dune? Or the 2000 & 2003 SyFy miniseries/tv movies? It's more or less the same story, just paced differently - lots of things different but very similar. Granted, the Denis Villeneuve versions put forth with Part 1 & 2 are definitely better movies overall and more complete adaptations. However, both versions are from the first Dune novel written/published by Frank Herbert in 1965, so it's hardly "new and different".
@Houze968 And yet, It did exactly what Star Wars should've done. I may not know much about Dune, But I do know that they made the right choice of remaking those two part films.

You see? Some of the movies are hated for a reason because of the plot that was dumb, characters making poor decisions. From what I assume that perfection is like a parasite to us all. Wanting to infect our minds. But no one is we have to keep on practicing. Practicing is the key the antidote to our goals.
I feel bad todd Phillips for making a another joker movie in a interview he said he doesn't want to make a sequel but you know Hollywood is bringing more money
All the other movies in 2024 are definitely the worst although I am curious about Megamind vs the Doom Syndicate because I'm always a fan of Megamind and I honestly wouldn't mind watching it despite the sequel being bad.😬😅
I saw Borderlands and Madame Web, and while neither one of them is my favorite movie I liked both of them. I wasn't a fan of the video game for Borderlands so I didn't have that chain hanging around my neck. The only thing I really hated about Madame Web was the weird voice over that you could tell was happening with the villain. No idea if he had some kind of strong accent or there was some kind of problem but that was very distracting, otherwise I didn't mind either movie and enjoyed them. To me if I don't get up and walk out of a movie, it's a good movie
Uglies is so on point though. So many people wanting to change who they are because they think they will be happier but aren’t. People who hate themselves and think changing themselves will be better. A certain community of people….
2:50 the problem that Bill's face features look very close to original Eric from comic book. And he also potrayed character closer to comic book. But the way creators did with his appearance... original Eric had long dark hair, heavy make up and rock like costume. Bill looks nothing like him in a movie. But the girl who played Shelly is the worst there. First, she looks nothing like original comic book Shelly - the original Shelly was blonde girl with blue eyes and very pale skin. Okay, in almost every "Crow" movie Shelly portrayed dark haired, not blonde. But this actress acted extremely bad. It's just a total miscast And, yes, there are zero chemistry between both actors
No joke, I went to see Madam Web in cinemas around the time it came out, and I keep forgetting I watched it and that it even was a thing (It left literally ZERO impact on me)
They didn't even bother with a theatrical release for the Strangers reboot in some countries. If you know the original you don't need to bother with this one. Still hoping they get the second or third installment straight.
3:07 This movie being on here is actually surprising to me 5:10 bro after watching this movie I think Zack Snyder needs better writers for his movies, And rebel moon was about to become a whole Franchise with 4 more movies and a spin-off that was surprisingly gonna star Ella Purnell (I did not stutter, you read that right) who also was in another Zack Snyder movie Army of the dead (which wasn’t that bad but could’ve been better) but after how badly the first two movies flopped, They all might get canceled, Which also suck because I Kinda like Korra as a character especially her actress
mad web is actually one of my favourite movies of the year. its one of the worst movies sure, but it's so fun to watch because I can see the moment each actor gave up. it is also so unintentionally funny that it somehow burrowed into my heart as a movie I can throw on just to laugh and have a great time.
-I was spared from watching Joker 2 because I didn't want to watch the first one. Something about it rubbed me the wrong way. -The person who made The Strangers trilogy is an idiot. If your going to make a trilogy back to back to back you may want to make sure that people actually want to see it and make it good. Peter Jackson knew what he was doing with The Lord of the Rings since it is a franchise with a big fan base. Trying to reboot a franchise is usually a bad idea. Since The Strangers franchise has already made 3 movies it's not going to stop after a failed attempt. -I actually saw the Crow. Only the part where he actually becomes the Crow was somewhat interesting. The first half was dull. Pennywise is the Crow now. -The main character of Borderlands is too old. Shouldn't she be half that age? -I didn't know Megamind had a sequel. Well no wonder I never heard of it. It is on Peacock which I don't use. -Madame Web almost slipped under my radar and I wish it did. I only watched it because I heard it was a Marvel movie and not a very good one. The last part was interesting but I doubt this will have a sequel. I saw Kraven the Hunter. That was better than Madame Web but that's not saying much. 9:55 There weren't even that many memes to enjoy this time. How is that even possible?
...a HUGE wtf for "The Strangers Chapter 1"... ...it lists Gabriel Basso as a cast member...and yet...HE DOESN'T SHOW UP ONCE IN THE ACTUAL MOVIE...😖...nor even a mid-credit or post-credit scene...
I said the same thing, what a bunch of crap. The end was pretty cool, I'll give them that, but that doesn't make up for it being a 2 hour musical that nobody asked for. My wife and I were about an hour in, and were like damnit this sucks, but we're already pretty invested🤣 what's another hour?
Imo, I find Madam Web and all the sonyverse films good. So what that there's no Spiderman, the franchise isn't focused on him, mainly. MW also shows that her story is a prequel before his birth. As for Morbius, the storyline was good and the cgi was great. The whole super speed giving off a misty effects, is like the rl myths of vampires turning into mist.
For #9, I would offer that they knew the first entry wouldn't be well-received as it was effectively a remake of the original Strangers movie. It did make money and they just need to actually release parts 2 and 3, which now that I type it, part 2 was supposed to be released last fall. The Crow was doomed to fail from the beginning, just making it a remake of the first move was a loser idea. Madame Web was just a bad idea from conception. Of all the ways to have a female spider character, they went with one of the least interesting and in a format that nobody appreciated.
I liked borderlands Worst film for me was the dead don’t hurt Its a western, it was a secret screening, I got bored Madame web trailer turned me off seeing it

Tarot did have the requisite lesbian couple, ticking at least one box.
My least favorite this year was"Kinds of Kindness"
I feel like the games that are being "Reimaged for a Modern Audience " are suffering just as bad as these movies from the exact same mistakes ..But they usually take it to another level again
10. My god, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!!! The first Joker film was so good and it's so hard to believe that the same people with involved with this! I still stand by the first Joker film being a masterpiece because as far as sequels go, this is just a disaster!
@@andrewhaase1826 it's almost like it was a joke, like Phillips was goofing off with all the other people involved, he's like check it out, I'm gonna make the sequel a musical! That'll be hilarious!!!
Nooooooo definitely don't do that!
....... I'm gonna do it!
Big mistake was for Phillips
It wasn't so much as "controversy" as it was the media begging for something terrible to happen
A 2024 list after 2024 is actually over. Good job.
Unlike lists that arrive before Christmas.
I will honestly keep defending Madame Web and The Strangers Chapter 1. Yes they have issues but still watchable
Hello, Joker 2.
The Joker sequel is a fever dream that can't be real. 🎉
@AndyHouse-v1m That'd hurt if I cared what you thought. 🎉
@AndyHouse-v1m what is so wrong with commenting
@AndyHouse-v1m You first, Android. 🎉
@AndyHouse-v1m Sticks and stones pup.
@@CandiceVidito32 Exactly; he's so desperate for attention. 🎉
Zack Snyder knew what he was doing when the critics’ reception to _Rebel Moon: Part Two: The Scargiver_ came in. That franchise tries and fails to be a good _Star Wars_ competitor. Will _Rebel Moon: Part Three_ continue this trend? Who knows?
Dune is doing what Star Wars should've done long ago.
Telling a new and different refreshing story in a new different era.
@Houze968 And yet,
It did exactly what Star Wars should've done.
I may not know much about Dune,
But I do know that they made the right choice of remaking those two part films.
The Mouse Trap was A movie I hated more in 2024
9:15 I CALLED IT! my friend took his wife then girlfriend to see the movie and she never seen anything Spider-man both didn't like it. I told him show the sourse material first but no all thanks to ol buddy Lorenzo di(gging his job to the grave)bonoventura who
Ah yes, the guy who keeps insisting post Bayverse Transformers movie as Bayverse continuity. That buffoon.
I liked most of them. I have a suggestion for a video. What about most hated animated movies
Sequels can make or destroy a movie franchise but in this case they all destroy the movie franchise.
I knew Zack Snyder 's Rebel Moon films wouldn't pay off including the director's cut.
RB is one of the worst movies of all time
I saw Borderlands and Madame Web, and while neither one of them is my favorite movie I liked both of them.
My least favourite of the year was Back to Black, the Amy Winehouse movie. What a disgraceful state of affairs that was
Honestly i didn't even know there was a sequel to megamind 😱😱
Screw you, Rebel Moon Is still Awesome, Ya Hack!!! #RebelMoon #RestoreTheSnyderverse
What about Y2K?!
I knew it , I knew madame web was the most hated one
Uglies is so on point though. So many people wanting to change who they are because they think they will be happier but aren’t. People who hate themselves and think changing themselves will be better. A certain community of people….
Never saw that Joker sequel. Wanted to, but folks talked me out of it.
Joker 2 was an absolute mess
2:50 the problem that Bill's face features look very close to original Eric from comic book. And he also potrayed character closer to comic book. But the way creators did with his appearance... original Eric had long dark hair, heavy make up and rock like costume. Bill looks nothing like him in a movie.
But the girl who played Shelly is the worst there. First, she looks nothing like original comic book Shelly - the original Shelly was blonde girl with blue eyes and very pale skin. Okay, in almost every "Crow" movie Shelly portrayed dark haired, not blonde. But this actress acted extremely bad. It's just a total miscast
And, yes, there are zero chemistry between both actors
No joke, I went to see Madam Web in cinemas around the time it came out, and I keep forgetting I watched it and that it even was a thing (It left literally ZERO impact on me)
🥉
@@BlackHatCinephile your Spam doesn't count
They didn't even bother with a theatrical release for the Strangers reboot in some countries.
If you know the original you don't need to bother with this one.
Still hoping they get the second or third installment straight.
At least give us some Rebel Moon comics since there won't be anymore movies
I think the new strangers is better than the original and has Zack Snyder made an amazing movie other than 300
What movie is the thumnail from?
Good gosh mega mind 2!? You know it was going to be bad when the animation looks like nickelodeon did it instead of DreamWorks
3:07 This movie being on here is actually surprising to me
5:10 bro after watching this movie I think Zack Snyder needs better writers for his movies, And rebel moon was about to become a whole Franchise with 4 more movies and a spin-off that was surprisingly gonna star Ella Purnell (I did not stutter, you read that right) who also was in another Zack Snyder movie Army of the dead (which wasn’t that bad but could’ve been better) but after how badly the first two movies flopped, They all might get canceled, Which also suck because I Kinda like Korra as a character especially her actress
mad web is actually one of my favourite movies of the year. its one of the worst movies sure, but it's so fun to watch because I can see the moment each actor gave up. it is also so unintentionally funny that it somehow burrowed into my heart as a movie I can throw on just to laugh and have a great time.
"Top 10 most Hated movies of 2024. Number six may surprise you cause it wasn't a 2024 movie"
Megalopolis: The Coppola's dream that became a nightmare!
...a HUGE wtf for "The Strangers Chapter 1"...
...it lists Gabriel Basso as a cast member...and yet...HE DOESN'T SHOW UP ONCE IN THE ACTUAL MOVIE...😖...nor even a mid-credit or post-credit scene...
Hes one of the killers
Thank you. Note I know what movies NOT to waste my time on 😅
You should’ve put saving bikini bottom the sandy cheeks movie as it was really hated die hard fans of sponge bob
At least Brawl Stars did the show justice.
When the concept of afraid is done better in a DCOM and a Scooby doo episode
The upside for me concerning this list..I never seen any of these movies
Joker 2: Folie a Deux should have been one. Mainly because the first one was amazing and this was a huge disappointment.
@@theywouldnthavetocensormei9231 This is why
Expect Minecraft up there in this new year
I didn't even knew megamind had a sequel 😂😂
Imo, I find Madam Web and all the sonyverse films good. So what that there's no Spiderman, the franchise isn't focused on him, mainly. MW also shows that her story is a prequel before his birth. As for Morbius, the storyline was good and the cgi was great. The whole super speed giving off a misty effects, is like the rl myths of vampires turning into mist.
Madame Web & Joker: Folie À Deux were disasters!
i don't now what possessed them to make the Joker as a musical!
Top 10 comedy movies of the 2020’s
Top 10 actors who could’ve had more roles
Top 10 studios that went down
For #9, I would offer that they knew the first entry wouldn't be well-received as it was effectively a remake of the original Strangers movie.
I wouldn't blame Bill Skarsgård but the remake was an abomination!
I hate Madme Web
You mean besides Megaloplis?
I liked Rebel Moon, a lot 😬 Both of them, I liked that it felt like Dune from the 80s mixed with Star Wars and Magnificent 7
I liked borderlands
Worst film for me was the dead don’t hurt
Its a western, it was a secret screening, I got bored
Madame web trailer turned me off seeing it
Yes Borderlands was not a total success but it really wasn’t a total failure either!😎
0:51. Thanos reference.
Uglies was a good book. The flick wasn’t a bad adaptation
I didn’t even know another Megamind movie came out.
Horizon was a massive mess.
5:13 this should be number 2
Just call it “worst movies of 2024”
The crow 2024 and madame Webb really were god awful
