- With its lightning-fast 7-piece Wizard neck and stunning poplar burl top, the Ibanez Premium RGT1221PB is a showstopping speed demon. An American basswood body provides a balanced tone, and a gorgeous ebony fretboard-punctuated with jumbo stainless-steel frets-sings out with lively projection and miles of sustain. The Ibanez RGT1221PB's DiMarzio Air Norton and Tone Zone humbuckers are voiced for metal, brimming with aggression and ready to howl. All this adds up to a solidbody electric that's a rock 'n' rolling, metal-making machine. Nick Jennison reviews
This has got to be one of the best reviews on a guitar I’ve seen. Someone that can play, someone that can review all the features and someone that can tune their guitar. It blows my mind when 90% of the guitar reviews are with guitars that are out of tune. Wonderful guitar player who demonstrates not only the sounds but the styles for those sounds. Great job to this man. Last but not least, this guitar has no whammy bar. I love this fact because I use a virtual Jeff. After using a virtual Jeff it is impossible to go back to a real trem system. I have two guitars for sale right now and when one of them sales I am buying this guitar!!! 😊🙏👍
I agree, now did you get this guitar, and if so are you happy with it?
Had to be one of best, most concise guitar reviews I've ever seen. Thank you!
Awesome review thanks!! Love this guitar. Seriously thinking about buying this!!
Just came to see the man. awesome as usual :)
Best review so far of that excellent axe so thank you for that...
Well, I know what I'm buying next! Amazing review. And wow that switch setup gives so many freaking tones straight out of the guitar.
I just ordered this guitar! Thanks again for the full rounded review. Great playing BTW
Any updates on how great the guitar is?
@ Tony did you get the guitar and if so how do you like it?
Next Ibanez on my list to buy.
Very good review & awesome playability too.
Glad you liked it!
How come that I've found this brilliant review only today! Thanks a lot for a great review.
Could you please recommend more options for a guitars with a fixed bridge, SS frets, Dimarzio pickups, satin finish, locking tuners, probably with compaund radios (12-16 inches)?
i want this one ❤️
Right on thank you
best review
Just played one today at my local guitar store but I just couldn't afford the £1150 price for it. It was so flat and I felt I could play better with it.
What about the nut, is it high quality? Is it built to last? does it get sticky and mess the tune up?
what amp was used for the tone???
❤️🎵🎶🎸🎵🎶🙏❤️😎
THANKS FOR YOU SUING SIM MODELS FOR YOUR PLAYTHROUGHS WHO USES AMPS ANYMORE.
I think I wanna buy the toyko midnight standard and change the pickups, but we will see!
Holy smokes... This is one mighty axe!! The Axe of Might is right here!! I love that it's a hardtail...
I do wish Ibanez would start adding 2-point trem options like on the AZ, to the RG and not just Floyd Roses or nothing lol.. Or if I could get an AZ with a wizard neck I'd be happy lol
After @13:15: Take my money!
Not a fan of this style of inlay on a superstrat but everything else about this guitar is awesome.
No I don’t get it but it’s awesome
Lovely guitar, however I don't like the dark stain/dye. It just makes the wood look dirty, and not in a good way. Ah, Basswood. Why do Ibanez keep using that stuff....? It's great and pliable for lining of acoustics, but soft and junky for solidbodies....even Alder has more plus points!
You're wrong about the colour, it's not dark enough.... Let's argue about aesthetics 😂
However, I'm also wondering about why so many producers use basswood. It's from the Northern hemisphere (in Europe it's linden wood) and tonewood is electric guitars is dumb. Now, I'm sure they have some beautiful premium tropical hardwoods on the side of the planet they produce these. It just makes no sense to use basswood.
@@ericdpeerik3928 Agree and disagree. Woods do play a factor, but that whole thing has been done to death to the point that any clarity on the matter is obscured by a larger amount of confusion and tendency towards disagreement rather than consensus. In that respect, it's probably more constructive to argue about aesthetics 😀
BTW, doesn't the Linden tree smell like jizz when it's in flower?
I could do without the big inlays on the fretboard, but otherwise that is very much my style.
its $3200 aud. I wouldnt call that affordable

Contacted Ibanez yesterday, this guitar will not be available until "APRIL" 2023 in North America. Wow.. This model is freely available in all other countries. Have to wonder what's up with that. There are no supply issues in the US and you can't keep blaming COVID. There are no shortages from imports made in China, South Korea, or VIetnam.... POOR PLANNING.
Chondro guitars in the Wisconsin has one in stock right meow
@@jamelgriffin9216 Hey thanks, I'll call them today. Again thank you!
@@rocinblues cool. I hope you get it. It just arrived the other day. It the one with the floating bridge
@@jamelgriffin9216 Hoped they had the hardtail, but they only have the FR. The reason that thing sounds so good (imo) is that it's neck and string thru making the sustain just ring. Thanks, I thought about it but I'll have to wait.
Several online retailers in the USA have it available to purchase, now.
