Man, this is by far the easiest way to tie a Sabiki rig I've seen. Just got a new kayak. Winds will be calm here tomorrow, Hilo side. Tied 2 red flies, 2 blue Obake strips, and a BNK hook on the bottom for shrimp. Going to get something, hoping for opelu but anything is good. Mahalo for sharing.
@@VentureWetsuits Thanks again. Had an awesome morning. Caught choke fish. They took the flies, the obake strips, and the shrimp. All caught on one rig. Lost one hook but the 20 pound floro held up well. All catch and release. Great way to start the day!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I have been wanting to try something with how I rig up 3 to 4 DOA Minnows with work hooks. I have tried several methods that people have done and they don't work. They get tangle up to easy. Your way works. I used 30lb test so it was stiff enough and I can cast it out and retrieve it fast. I haven't tried 4 yet. I will keep ya posted
Glad u took the time to post this for a few reasons. I've been fumbling with different tapes and other attempts using rubber bands for years trying to keep my spools from unfurling on me. Koozie...what a simple fix! I wish I would have seen this video last week because my last sabiki got bit off and i fumbled around trying to fashion so.ething that would suffice but kept getting tangles. Thank you.
@@VentureWetsuits yessir! I haven’t learned it like this yet. I always tie the damashi first the clip the lower tag end then tie. Ima use this a bit now though.
I tried this and it works so good! Thank you brother and best luck fishing!🐟🎣

3 sounds like the sweet spot! I actually use that bottom fishing 80-120’ deep straight down, instead of casting. Cool thay it works casting!

The koozie is super clutch and it’s super cheap to buy. It’s truly a life saver!
Quick, strong, very effective...Nice.!!!
Exactly why I love this damashi style!
bra that koozie tip 🤦♂️ i've been fishing for all my life and never thought of that.
Hahah a buddy of mines showed me that trick , share em with your buddies 🤙🏽
is this good for opelu too?
Yup I use the same type of rig for opelu , bottom fishing, menpachi, everything
mahalo
Yesssuh
What kind rod and reel do you use?
I used to use ugly stick with spinfisher 6500, recently upgraded to shimano Trevala with spheros and Trevala with Stella
Nice!
Have you switched this technique yet? Learned a lot from this.
Yessir still going strong for me 🤙🏾
