This video talks about why I personally chose the Tri Axle Dump Truck for my fist venture.
Dump truck you can run around the clock from basically March-April up until November-December.. if you are smart and know how to manage the money you make running the truck day and night all season. The down time in the winter can be a great time to take a break and go over your truck 100% to get ready to do it all over again next season. I’ve done this and it works out well if you’re actually disciplined and keep track of your money
Stay tuned for an updated video. I went a different direction!
Texas don't worry about winters

For anyone looking to buy a dump truck. Go with a Mack RD 600/688 series, 350hp, E7 engine, tri axle and the miles should be around 200k. Price 20k-50k. This is a great starter to buy and its a legendary truck. It's slow as balls tho, you're welcome!
I run a DM quad for a friend when he needs extra help, slow and steady. You learn quick what roads you do not want to be on empty.
The miles will be way higher than that on a 20 plus yr old truck
Most honest trucking video I’ve seen… thank you
I appreciate that!
Thanks! No comments or likes but you answered my questions. I’m 25 been landscaping since 12 in the family business but ready to move forward. I like landscaping/construction and want to stay involved so I think dump trucking is my path. Thank you
Did you start dump trucking? How did you find your first loads?
@@thisismagacountry1318 I decided to pursue my CDL A instead. However, as far as work, there were many job postings on indeed for dump truck drivers in my area (North East) that paid pretty well.
@@outsid33 u bought a dump truck
Great video! Definitely switching careers and this helped me weigh my options out. As someone that’s new to the field a lot of people don’t think about making videos like these that help new comers understand the layout / options in trucking. Thanks again. 💪🏾
Glad it was helpful!
Just my personal opinion but semi is #1. Yes put in one year of running hard buy a second truck by 2 to 3 yr . I would stay away from new trucks in the first place because you would be the red the first day . Dump trucks in most places is only seasonal . Here in the NE we have fixable in what type of semi loads available .
I'm starting a family-owned Hauling & Junk Removal company and I'm currently deciding on the perfect truck and all the customizations I'll need for it. 🙏 Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for your invaluable information, highly appreciate it, keep it up the outstanding job, have a great day.
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful! I have my cdl a, with doubles triples, tankers, hazmat and yes manual trained. I have been offered flatbed, reefer, otr and line haul but today I just received an offer for dump truck just trying to decide
i've been driving for 20 years, I driven them all, driving dump truck class A is boring as hell. Drive all day, super boring
@@jasondockery704 wouldnt driving any of them be boring? i mean if youre going OTR isnt that more driving?
Brother you are god sent
Nice video!
Good video man that's very helpful 👍 👌
Best vedio I’ve seen
It's more maintenance on dump trucks. Trust me
New trucks have just as much maintenance as old trucks. I drive ready mix with a mixed fleet of old and new trucks. The new trucks are down as much or more then the older trucks. The only benefit to new is the warranty but then you drop them off at the dealership and you do not see them for months.
I'm seeing this too. And newer trucks have the DEF system which cause them to have a fair bit of trouble the older ones don't have.
I recently heard from mechanic that they are getting away from def in the future cause they are finding out they screw trucks up and actually isn't great for environment.
@@mattlincoln6845 The chemical industry and their lobbyists will never let that happen.
Curious to the legality of running with the def delete on any of these
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸Thank you

You're sitting on a gold mine
What kind of dump truck?
This is great info have you looked into leasing a truck through Penske. Also I have cdl for 10 yrs driving local. Been considering a heavy haul flatbed.
I have a question about dump trucking in multiple states I live in Minnesota and can only haul here in the summertime my daughter lives in California and I would like to haul there in the winter time I was wondering what it takes to dump truck in multiple states is it similar to OTR with apportioned plates or would i have to start two separate companies in each state with same truck
@thecountryceo can you help with this one? ua-cam.com/channels/DOj6xwIu3jb6xH1h6P_r-Q.htmlabout
Looking for options out here in Los Angeles, just got my class A license, any spots available,or that you can recommend?
Question if I have a dump truck can I lease it onto a company??
Yes,I do
In the right state. (Wis) Dump trucking is a $200K/plus a year job
Is this still accurate? Do you have a source?
Dumptruck is 10% maintenance.
Is a class A license required for driving dump trucks? Or does it depend on the state?
Class B for dump truck
Class B for dump truck but you can get a class A and still drive a dump truck. AND have more options for future work.
If you drive just a dump truck and tow nothing that weighs over 10,000 pounds a class B should be all you need. A lot of companies (at least in my area) that want dump truck drivers want class A with no transmission restrictions just because a lot of their trucks are manuals and they use them to tow heavy construction equipment.
@@poorlittlebiker6476 yep, I drive a dump and am non CDL.
is not Dodge 3500 but RAM 3500
Depends on the year.
Is there any way I can contact u
