I think this is a really good idea. My parents moved us to Nigeria for a period of 2 years when I was about 8. It really helped, I learnt my language, my culture and more about my relatives. I definitely think relocating for 4/5 months will be an amazing experience.
I can see the excitement all over you 😊 this 2 weeks trip really got you loving home. Like you said you just have to be yourself, not showing off and stuffs like that will really help you stay there because if people know you're from abroad many will want to cheat you even in the smallest things. Do what makes you happy, it's important to know your culture very well
I understand you... but things has changed a bit in Nigeria with the perception of people abroad... at least for the educated one... we know people struggle over there... in fact... we now pitty them... some, maybe you might want to use the phrase... "some people may want to cheat you".
This is the Best time to do it when the children are younger, I do it every year with my kids and They love it. We go to Nigeria two times every year for summer Holidays 3months and Christmas holiday 2months. Is the best decision I ever made. We leave in CANADA. Nigeria is HOME for us.
Nigeria is a great country, yes there are challenge but Nigeria offer you lots of opportunities to create your own happiness like solar panels for 24 hour electricity, fetch water, streams, real non chemical food straight from farm to the market, plenty of business. Alot of nigeria issues are over Exaggerated on twitter, plenty of Nigerian disporians are returning living 1-4 months slowly emerge into the culture and with the locals. Also alot are coming and learning about business opportunities. I agree with you when you have opportunities of both world uk and Nigeria, your love, feeling and appreciation of Nigeria is different. You see things different from locals. Alot of the Kidnapping is mainly northeast. Abuja, uyo, calabar, and most of south south like delta, port Harcourt etc is usually peaceful.
I am doing this in January 2022 to come back in August 2022. I lived in Nigeria for the first 16 years of my life though. a lot of people are advising me against it. But I am almost certain I will be doing this, I have 4 children, btw 14 and 2. I would let you know how it goes
Uno is an absolutely great choice you can get a massive house for cheap, it is lovely and suburban. I will recommend that you have a friend in the " upper class" in Akwa Ibom - and make friends with someone that works in the government that will be willing to assist you if ever you have a tough time. You should also get 2 good nannies and chef for your children from a reputable agency. Watch out for the domestic staff struggles . Nigeria is lovely when you live there with the right people and go to the right places . I love the fun stories Nigeria is so exciting.
I haven't watched this video yet but the title is shocking to me.. relocating from UK 🇬🇧 to Nigeria 🇳🇬 meanwhile people are relocating from Nigeria 🇳🇬 to the UK 🇬🇧
Alot of current gen z Nigeria are so negative, Nigeria issues get exaggerated. Lots of political propaganda. Political parties trying to make other look bad, like labour vs conservative in the uk or Republican vs Democrats in the US.

Watch the video and you will find out why we are running from UK!
Honestly,
Please be shocked for the both of us because I don't think my shock is shocking me enough
@Sly Cisco So many people are thinking if moving back to Africa including me so please don't be shocked.
Shocking? We just moved back after 16 years.
Lots of black people are leaving the UK and moving to African and Caribbean countries. There’s many reasons.
The best is like in-between both worlds ❤️
Exactly 💕
Nigeria is not that bad as some people make it to be, you will fine fine and save more
Thanks dear
I will check back in 2 years time. Meanwhile welcome
If you watch the video I said it is a temporary relocation (4-5 months). 🤪
What job do you do if you don’t mind me asking?
Were you born in Nigeria?are your siblings in UK too?
No, I was born in UK.
