- Husband/wife duo Ira Kaplan and Georgia Hubley formed the band Yo La Tengo in 1984 in Hoboken, New Jersey. James McNew joined the band in 1992. Yo La Tengo has been called “the quintessential critics band,” known for creativity, independence and an eclectic approach to indie rock. Rolling Stone calls them “one of the most restless and most consistently good bands of the past 25 years.” Aired: 06/18/14
I discovered them in one of my most difficult moments in life, and they helped me a lot. They're one of the best things happened to music in the last century
god, what lovely people. what godly musicians!
too bad the host keeps interrupting and answering his own questions
A different kind of rock stars. So happy to have found them.
I absolutely love yo la tengo ❤❤❤ it definitely shows they do what they want to do, and it works so well. And they look like good people!
Superb interview, this guys are a treasure and must be preserved at all costs
How should we preserve them? Like embalm them when they die ? They are a fav of mine too. Never thought of embalming my fav artists ...

BORING.
Yo le tango sounds like band created in a lab by NPR. Boring and super liberal.
