Great job! What a over complicated engine all because of that darn balance shaft / internal water pump.that’s why I’m here watching your rebuild

Just recently bought a 1994 400l just like yours, I love watching your videos! Looking forward to seeing more content. Keep it up!

Great videos, snow is flying and its high time to get my basket case trailboss 350L together, carrying firewood and shoveling snow by hand gets old, hah. Just wanted to mention, autozone used to loan a blind hole puller for free, and harbor fright(ening) had a cheap one i used on a 460 ford once, and it worked. I was a machinist/diesel mechanic before i got disabled, i built all my motors on the tight end of spec too, not overly tight, but the tight end of spec, i think they build a hair more oil pressure, run a hair cooler, and make a hair more power that way. Thanks again for the videos, ive restored hundreds of vehicles, but this is my first quad, so following your walkthrough is helpful.

Where did you get the parts for it and the crank case replacement?

I have a parts engine that the case came from and the other parts was eBay con rod kit and bearings and seal kits.

Hmmm... I'm calculating a negative end play of .01". Where can I find some negative shims? LOL!

      Yeah, that's a problem

Not sure what to do about it. I had to get a new crank case... original got busted. I assembled cautiously and the crank won't even turn. I'm no machinist so.... I'm stuck and sick of throwing money at this beast!

@@michaelanderson4395 Is the crank pressed all the way together? The connecting rod pin should be flush with the outside of the crank web. Just a thought.

@@MrFixit1 The pin is flush but I have .024" side play on the rod. If I can press that down to half that, that ought to get me in the ballpark. Right?

@@michaelanderson4395 As long as you don't knock the crank out of balance, I would say it might work.
