Keep this game alive, don't let it die!
games can't die
Don't let the flame die out!!
@@poke4074look at multiverse even if it gets released like it was before its gonna die
@@poke4074I mean multiversus and nasb1 stopped
Keep this energy yourself homie. Play the game and do not stop playing. Don't let it be a Discord Fighter either!
I really hope people give this game a chance. I admit that I was immediately skeptical because of NASB1. But after watching people play it and I could tell immediately that the game was smoother.
My problem with NASB1 and Multiversus was it felt like I didn’t have a completely clear grasp of where I was and where other characters were. It felt like people were just throwing out hit boxes and hoping people run into it.
But NASB2 feels so smooth. It actually feels like a game. Competitively and casually.
Lumping NASB with Multi is really not fair. Compared to the slop fest of Multi, NASB was damn near precise.
it's such a shame the first game killed this one's reputation. It's genuinely a fantastic playing game, but already online there's nobody playing except insanely good players which can make learning the game really tough. Genuinely enjoyed the single player campaign too, half my hours in the game are in that alone. But yeah great game and slime adds so much creativity to the game, such a shame that its not as popular as the first game, hopefully the community keeps it alive.
This is a game targeting mostly kids. It will never be taken as seriously as Super Smash. While there are a lot of improvements over the first one, i can still see a lot of flaws. This game will quickly die again and cutting characters from the first game certainly isn't helping either.
@@OliverTwist-fc3xcas long as there is a compitive scene and it has more support then nintendo. It isn't gonna die as quickly and it won't be super died like Nasb1(also the first game had a really good compitive scene I lived watching it). Is there 2v2???

@@dariensanchez9847 I think $50 for a game like this is a little steep. Already lost its playerbase. The first one had like 5-10k on steam alone. This one is at less than 1,000 right now and it just came out. Not a great sign. If they made it $20, it would probably get triple the numbers. Multiversus had a peak player base of 150k+ on steam. NASB2 had 2,300. This game isn't lasting a month.
I haven’t been hype for a Brawler like this since Ultimate released. NASB 2 is so sick.
LOVING all the NASB content void ♥♥
Same! Im so glad the game came out how it did
It just sucks that I got burnt on NASB1, a $40 game, just for them to release a new $50 game a couple years later. If it's still looking strong in 6-12 months, then I can consider buying it. But as it stands rn, I don't wanna get burnt again on another indie platform fighter that could be dead in a matter of months.
NASB1 was also $50 dollars
@@dsshocktrooper7523 I'm guessing he bought it when it was discounted at $40, but other than that you are right, it is indeed $50.
through word of mouth and a dedicated fanbase this game should live on. I hope the devs put the game on sale though, price right now I think is the only setback
I watched a lot of NASB 2 and it looks amazing if it will continue to be like that there's a change i might want to try this
this game will blow up when the prices gets cut, til then i dont think much people will play it, its great tho
Loving this game, I got it for the switch and it's still enjoyable
tried it on the switch at a local and it felt bad, and went home and got it on PC and it felt way better
I'm sure they'll put a patch out and it'll run better soon
The game seems so good... I hope it lives more than a month or two
Why wouldn’t it… dlc hasn’t even dropped yet and more seasons are coming plus patches to balance things
@Hinokami777 at this point brawlhalla and smash are the only platform fighters that have a decent playerbase.
The first game had the exact same launch plan and died by the end of the year, this one improved on stuff but has an even worse playerbase and there wasn't much advertisement or hype leading up to this sequel.
@@majesticmo5048Rivals of Aether has a really big modding scene and is very alive
Based on the combat redesign and quality of watching the matches I think it will live longer. This is the type of game that can actually be commentated, and not nearly as gimmicky looking compared to the spam fest of 1. It seems like they are drawing a lot of inspiration from ult than just melee now, so fingers crossed it has a wider appeal !
@jpoggi9081 hopefully, the game is actually a really good improvement. I just hope it can keep players but idk
I think it's definitely worth trying out. With Nintendo trying their hardest to kill the competitive smash scene, NASB2 looks super promising.
This game really needs to be advertised more. Idk why I haven’t seen much advertisement about it. I guess the company was scared after the first game didn’t go so well?
The publisher GameMill typically doesn't market their games much, and from what I've heard, what they have put in on NASB2 is already more than what they usually do. Looks like they put their marketing in paying a bunch of Smash/Nintendo youtubers to play or review the game, rather than more traditional ads.
What I can say is that the physical copies arent out for another few weeks still. My hope is that Christmas time comes around and the player numbers gets a little boost.
so hyped to see this game develop further
Right now I’m on the fence. I have the game and it’s fun but what will make me keep it is if I can convince my friends to play with in person.
I haven’t started the campaign yet but I hear good things. Strong offline modes will help these non-mainstream fighting games in the long run.
Have you played anymore offline stuff? I just got the game and have major issues when fighting the AI. Anytime i fight the cpu (yes lvl 9) they always get stuck on the edge and just dangle forever. They dangle until i decide to hit them which they just fall to their death without even trying to jump back up. I cant even play the campaign cause they wont let you change any of their garbage default controls around. Triangle to jump on ps5 yeah right get out of here... I need a refund
Being able to enable Tap Jump is a real blessing to me, because having to dedicate an entire button just to jump is really uncomfortable for my hands when I can just save that button for shielding or grabbing instead. This alone might be a defining factor for me to fork over the dough to get this game
I let them trick me the first time. They won't get my $40 again.
The unfortunate reality is that video game prices haven't moved much in the last 20 to 30 years but it costs a lot to make a really good title. So the way I look at it is that I bought the first game which I was pretty well aware was going to be a beta. And now we have the new game that's actually been properly made and is really good. If you look at the rate of inflation from the 90s video games should probably be costing over $100. So it's all about expectations. If you looked at what was going on behind the scenes with the first game and thought that you weren't investing in them buying a second game you just didn't understand what was happening. This game is better and I'm not going to say you need to go out and buy it right away but if you give it a month or two and it's still getting traction and you're a platform fighter fan I recommend you go get this game
I understands how you feel but the fact that they made a number 2 a year later it only means they are trying their best to make a good game they just arent at that Sakurai level, but i feel like they are tryin. Either way lets see how this one does. I like it so far but something i dont like are those match makings
Even worse its 50. Its sad because I'm sure the game is good but the price doesn't make sense for the game.
NASB1 was $50
My only problem is the cost. Having paid for 1 for it to die so quickly to then turn around and buy the second game that’s really just the completion of the first just isn’t it. Not saying it’s not worth. They definitely put their best foot forward. Idk just a discounted price to those that backed the fist game would have given it the boost it needed. Still gonna cop it at some point.
I remember when this game was getting established with trailers and promos and whatnot, I was a bit suspicious of the Slime meter. It has since become my all-time favorite mechanic in any platform fighter. The sheer depth it offers, compounded by the game’s already solid mechanics, makes every combo feel that much more rewarding. I’ve just been making lobbies with a couple friends, nothing too insanely high skill, but we’re still cooking up WILD combos on the regular. There’s just so much room for expression in this game, and I’m hoping it grows into having a solid community.
No catdog breaks my soul realistically
I dropped Ult due to the online during Covid, but I really appreciate all the big smash names who spread the word about other games.
It would he a huge shame if NASB2 dropped off as fast as the first time due to the publisher not marketing it at all.
It’s fun af I’m happy they made a part 2. I’ll be streaming this game on Twitch
👍🏾
The game is so good and I have a switch with ssbu on it
We gotta keep this hype alive past the point where new plats usually die and get forgotten about. Hold the line boys! *Don't let the flame die out!*
I think the issue is, for people like me who bought the first game, we didn’t get any compensation for it being thrown out. No discount on new game, no custom skins, like nothing. Even if the game is good, it feels scary to buy it and wonder if it just dies again
I got the game day one and after finishing the story mode, arcade mode plus playing some ranked online I would strongly recommend this game to anyone that enjoys platform fighters!
I labbed el Tigre and his combos are just chef kiss

The true question that needs to be answered is if future dougie found himself
Would love a video on movement for beginners
I just made a beginner’s guide which teaches basic movement if you’re interested
A lot of people don't know is out yet, it hasn't caught traction yet. I just found out this morning it was out
I didn't really play the first one, so my opinion is not fact at all but it's kinda insane that they released a game 2 years ago and instead of fixing that one, they just made a brand new one and charged even more for it lol
I think NASB1 really soured my opinion on the series. So I'm trying to convince myself to buy the 2nd game, hoping I will enjoy it as much as smash.
It's smart of them to remake the entire game and I hope they build upon it. I get that they want to have unique gameplays, but I find the representation of characters a bit weird and the DLC doesn't really seem to change that. I kinda hoped that they also would revamp the cut characters and add them over time.
Wow. The animations and cancels are starting to look like Rushdown Revolt to me.
i think the game has its own identity now from the melee cosplay the old game was
nope
@@Treyfuwu yes redditor
The problem the first game had, alongside the lack of budget or time, is that it really felt like a game that went "We want the melee crowd." But the Melee crowd wants to play melee. Then that's it. It was fast but way too fast, an overemphasis on speed to where it felt like all the attacks chained into each other the same way. You can just throw out moves with little to no endlag and just kinda dance around each other.
Nickelodeon Slime Time LIVE *2023 LET'S GO*
Make a NASB 2 tier list
Great game. Bad player base. Real shame. Nintendo will never let smash bro players enjoy their game competitively. I don't know why the community doesn't rally behind this one as I am sure the devs would love to feed a competitive scene.
Because they burnt the first player base by abandoning the game and no discount for those players. Then, they release @ $50 price tag which is super steep
@@Danxor how much of that is the devs fault, and not the publishers fault? Nick and Gamemill are cheap tbh.
i guess the only thing we can all do is wait and see how things play out.
It's too expensive. Plus expensive day-one DLC. I got the NASB 1 day one, and it was dead in a week. I can't justify even more money when it may die just as fast or even faster.
I think NASB 1 players should get it half off or something. I'm not risking all that money on a game that has already bombed hard once.
I want to support it but I think after I heavily bought the both versions for NASB1 and not playing with anyone or anything it’s just not something that interests me. Much prefer to watch it and see how it goes
wish it was free and had a skin based monetisation so it's way more accessible

I know people like that it got slowed down, but man, I miss the high apm and fast gameplay from the first. Nasb2 feels sluggish to me.

Unfortunately I won't.
They cut all of my characters, so they won't get my money.
Oh boo hoo

I wont be turning it on until dpad support is added
I bought the game and I don’t regret it. I wish it had more players
Pearl 1 just ran into Aang > Korra > Azula (literally no joke) > El Tigre > Azula > Korra
Holy SHIT
If I kept playing I bet I would've ran into an Aang 😂

Is there online doubles with a local friend ? Like smash
So far I’m having fun. Granny is Awsome
Is wave dashing in this game?
Does anyone know if this game is gc compatible on steam?
SUPPORT THIS GAME and RIVALS 2, so we can have something to play if Nintendo decides to shut down a future Smash Tournament,
Please guys push this game 🙏 nintendo hates its competitive scene and nickelodeon could really push this game far in terms of support!!
When the game gets a price cut it will bring more players. Until then it will have a dedicated playerbase. The game has a chance to shine but not sure how long when multiverse comes back and other platforms fighters continue to shine with a better price tag and overall gameplay compared to this game
Not for 80$ on the ps5 on the psn store lol. I went to Walmart Best Buy and GameStop they don’t have it but they said it’s coming in December 1st

Something that people don't mention about this game is that it doesn't have a battle pass, THANK GOD.
Has anyone tried the game on console yet? I remember NASB 1 was unplayable on xbox 1 due to lag
I think an important thing that I am curious about is, what platform are you playing on? If you mentioned that already.... My bad. And could someone let me know, please.

I've got it for switch.... it was clunk incarnate. I'm happy other systems are doing it justice. I really want this game to succeed.
As someone who did not give a single fk bout the first game, this does look good
The thing that's gonna knee-cap this game in the long run is it still has bad presentation. People can talk about smooth mechanics and all that all they want, but it's the Marvel Infinite problem. MvC:I had great mechanics but it's presentation was just bad.
The animations don't have the springyness and detail to make it feel hype and every hit just sounds like a wet noodle. It's frustrating because it feels like things that would be relatively easy to fix. Genuinely think they should have made the roster like 3 characters smaller and put the money and time spend on them into polishing the visuals and sound.
It might not sound immediately as important to a competitive player as the mechanics they like do, but if you want it to draw in spectators, and by extension new blood it needs to have oomph, and I just don't feel it.
Someone in new england, you mean Mars lol
what console do you play on? hear the switch version is terrible
I agree the online is good
My only problem with this game are the animations. Characters just go from one moment to the other like a slideshow. They needed better animations and more frames of animation.
best game ever
It doesn't sit well with me that the first game flopped then they released this out of no where
So I gotta buy it again because they abandoned the first one?
I have no faith that this will hold a player base for longer than a few months
The $50 price point is much too steep
To me the game physic is still kinda odd but overall is a better version than the 1st one. The 1st game to me feels like a full price charged beta release.
nasb2 has been getting very high ratings from several higly-regarded gaming reviewers, its actually a good game this time for everyone!
I don’t think NASB2 should be able to compete with smash, it should be it’s own thing and a alternative to people who are disgruntled with smash.
Smash isnt a genre. NASB2 classified under platform fighter.
@@devinroi3886he never referred to Smash as a genre. if you're here you must be out of touch to not know what's going on specifically with what Nintendo is doing to the competitive Smash scene, or you're purposely being obtuse about people's criticisms of that.

The randomness is bad. I’ve unlocked almost all of the characters and still haven’t beaten the first boss.
Does it offer private lobbies??
Yes
Personally the game is only worth it if you have next gen or pc. A capped true 30fps is disappointing on ps4. Now i gotta get a new system for 60fps very sad.
it's not 2020 anymore, PC gaming is very accessible now as well as PS5 if the former doesn't interest you. if either option is out of your budget, well you get what you pay for.
@BronzeAgePepper other games on ps4 don't have this problem. Just got a pc but don't plan on buying again.
Fumny how void mentions him playing a friend thats living in New England...Already better online connection than smash by far
People who say this game is "dead" just know that you're forgetting that KIDS EXIST!!!!
This is coming from a casual's perspective, but I wish they added more to it. Instead of focusing on making it fun by adding more content, they focused too much on making it competitive. As a consequence, this game becomes one of those play it once and forget as there's little to do unless you're into the competitive side of the game. Even with an online multiplayer, it sucks as a casual because you're going againsts pros a lot of the time. I guess it's alright as a casual game with friends, but if you have Smash Bros that can play with 7 other people with more items, characters, stages (including custom stages) and game modes, it's hard to justify playing this over Smash Bros.

Most of the recent Smash games aren’t good whatsoever, they’re just popular because of casual players and the fact it’s more main stream, other games like Brawlhalla and NASB 2 are better because they actually utilize tech and encourage both casual and competitive play instead of making your character trip every six steps.
