its an asmr channel, so these carpets he just buys and gets them super dirty so he can wash them for our enjoyment. if you look at all the carpets in his videos, they all have the same backing, so he gets them from the same company each time i believe. i assume he washes carpets normally too since he has this spot, but they wont be nearly as dirty so not nearly as satisfying. some channels do get carpets this dirty tho, and its due to floodings, being thrown out, used outside and maybe forgotten about, and used in dirty environments like shops such as mechanic shops/trade shops.
That bear's expression on his face is so goofy, the rug HAD to be saved! I loved watching the transformation. Was that rug taken from a house that was destroyed in a fire?
Why not clean a rug over a grate system? Then dirty water would just fall directly below. And with the way u do it now, isn’t the rug just sitting in dirty water, making it hard to clean?

I don't know about this guy specifically but a lot of these guys put them in a muddy pit for a few weeks
