Thank you for the great review, Lisa! I’ll have to think about this! I just saw the new Ninja Foodi XL Steam Fryer…have you seen that one? I’d be interested to hear your review on it as well. I LOVE my NF original 8qt…made a big pot of vegetable beef soup today…I use it at east 3-4 times a week. So I don’t know if I want to upgrade or not, but this new grill has definitely caused me to rethink my options. So glad to see you’re doing well. I know you’re working a lot. Thank you, again, for your dedication and service to our loved ones who are so sick and alone in these uncertain days. You are truly appreciated and loved. 💖🙏🙋🏻
Hi Janis, I have the new Ninja foodi XL steam just haven't had a chance to use it yet-this working for a living is getting in the way lol. Soup would be nice but still so hot here is south Florida-lol. Take your time choosing these appliances are pricey but having he grill would compliment the Foodi. Thanks Janis-appreciate the appreciation.

I just clicked this because I have the same kitchen layout as you AND also the grill AND I put it in the same spot you did. I also just put up a movie about it. Cool grill! And nice presentation!
Can't wait to see the next video! Of course they come out with a new one after I get mine!! I love it anyway! I love your videos, keep 'em coming!! Made salt potatoes the other day...yum!!
Gracias
Nice job Lisa. I appreciate that your video shows things that the other videos haven’t really focused on. I have one on the way. I didn’t get the smart one, as they were having a great deal on the other one $120 off versus $20. I figured I could just use my MEATER or the other cabled thermometer that I already had, since I only really use the thermometer for grilled salmon anyway. Looking forward to your upcoming videos on things you try out in the new grill.
I already have the Smart XL Grill and love it, it's the only appliance I use! BUT I REALLY want the new "Griddle" and the ability to cook with the lid open (I'm disabled and can't stand for long lengths of time so the more convenience and everything in one spot the better and easier for me) That sale ends today so I have to decide.... Question: Are you happy with the non-smart version or do you wish you had spent the extra money? Being on Disability, these things are a complete LUXURY purchase for me! And $100+ is A LOT of money saved!!! Would you choose the "smart" or non-smart version for that big of a savings again or would you go for the gusto if making the purchase today now that you've had the "non-smart" version for awhile?
Thanks for the video… does the baking tray from the first XL fit in the new grill/griddle? Really disappointed they didn’t make a roasting pan for roasts or other purposes…thanks for checking!
Love this video Lisa, I’ve just ordered one, it’s not in stock until 24th November here in UK, I’m in Northern Ireland. Can’t wait to see more of your videos using the griddle 🥰
Hi you said it was making a weird noise when the fan turned on. I found what it was if you look on the back of the inside of the top you will see wear marks were the air basket is rubbing against it. You just need to bend the basket just a little bit in away towards the middle of the basket this will stop the noise!
Wow! That is really nifty! Thank you! :) I'm curious, can you make a Panini between the bottom grill grate and the grill grate that is under the flat griddle??
hmmmmm.......I'll try it tonight just for fun-maybe mozzarella, tomato and pesto? Don't have any good bread in house just brioche but we are just experimenting-if it works I'll get back to ya here and do a quick vid once I get some good bread. Thanks for the idea! Its pricey but think this will become my new favorite-just made smash burgers-came out great! Thanks JuJu Bee!
I am considering thjis to replace a large toaster /convection oven on my counter. Is the size of this big enough to bake a caserole or pork loin in? My convection over doesn't have an airfryer & thought this might be great as a combo.
Stephanie-I think this is going to be my new favorite-gone Ninja Wild today-think Chris is gonna kill me -lol. Grilled cheese, smash burgers, pancakes, wings all since 2 pm today-lol. Think I better quit and move on to the Ninja Creami. Thanks Stephanie!
Hey Lisa, I just got mine (without the probe) and it doesn’t feel like the lid opens up enough.. yours looks like it opens almost straight up and I can’t see the entire screen when standing in front of it and it’s difficult to clean… could you measure yours when it’s open, from the counter to the top most part of the lid? Mine is about 15.5”.. I’d really appreciate it (my screen doesn’t really fit back snugly either)…it’s 11” from bottom of grill pan to the bottom of the lid, opened. I know it sounds stupid but it’s bugging me, lol
Love the way you demonstrate all your ninja products especially this new grill. I'm very interested in seeing how how the baking temp is for baking biscuits. Will it grill pork chops tender and moist. Looking forward to your next video on this!
What I found with the ninja products is that the appliance lasts but the non-stick- griddle, basket and grill -I have to replace them depending on use at around th 9-1 year mark.
@@pressurecrispI actually just got one the other day, it is fantastic. I've had regular griddles, this is over the top, cooking all around. I really was wanting a good indoor grill, my last one started to catch fire, for real. I liked it, but it was dangerous, so I had to throw it out. This Ninja will be right next to my Instant Pot.
Lisa, I think I’m going to wait for you to do more with this new grill/griddle. Have you tried doing a grilled cheese the old fashioned way, I mean can you grill both sides at the same time. Do more things so I can make up my mind. lol
I'm working it-lol. experimenting yesterday and today will get more vids out soon. Want to bake in it hopefully after my potato is done. it has been on most of the day lol. The only difference so far that I have found is that my wings don't get as crispy so I'm going to try them again at higher temp to see what happens. also its a bit pricey so its an investment .Stay tuned for more vids! Thanks Kerry.
I bought it thinking I’d never use the griddle and would grill meats with the top open. Well. Ends up I use the griddle all the time and I grill meat with lid down because it works better that way 🤣
Yeah I usually run it empty at at least 400F for about 30 minutes then rewash everything after it cools. I did this yesterday and I could smell whatever it was burning offthen I opened the sliding glass door to air out kitchen. I'm gonna have to read pamphlet that came with NFGG to see if they recommend this. great question.
Lisa, I love mine. I gave my other 2 Ninja Grills to some friends. Have you noticed the grill grate has a slant to it. It kind of reminds me of a George Foreman Grill. I love how easy the grill grate cleans.
Hi Roland, I thought the same thing-George Forman slant-lol. But better! I love the griddle-hope to do steaks maybe tomorrow depending on time-venturing into the Everglades.
@@pressurecrisp I just checked on QVC where I ordered mine. They were selling it with the same accessories they you have. Oh, well. If I want it bad enough, I’ll order it separately. The Ninja site sells it with the veggie tray but a much higher price.
I just checked the Ninja kitchen UK website-did not see it. Not sure when they will have the new grill. Wish they would offer the same appliance for all the world at the same time. Thanks Bernie!
@ 300 bucks, I am going to pass on this one. I have the Ninja grill and air fryer, as well as the Ninja convection flip up oven. I have to draw the line somewhere.
I'll probably clean it the same way I clean my other grills-but I'll keep you posted. So far the griddle and grate easy to clean but as usual the coating will slowly stop being so nonstick. Thanks Linda
Gotta order some lights-lighting terrible in this condo. :). Thanks everyone for watching!
I did bacon and eggs on my new grill like this too. It was amazing. I mean bacon 7 min. Eggs over easy maybe 1.5 min. Amazing. 🤩🤩🤩
That’s awesome Linda!
