I really appreciate that Cristine does all the swatching and makes these videos rather than some other businesses where the owner seems really disconnected from the company. Sure, those people might be doing a lot of stuff behind the scenes (and I’m sure Cristine is too), but Cristine really takes the time to show us each and every product, AND she does a lot of the pictures and swatches. 💕
I do too! I won't mind when/if she decides to give her other other hand a break though if she decides to have someone else do them but it's like her old nail videos. (Add your own GLOSSSYYY TACOOO sound effects)
True, I love that she does them but I also love when companies show case other nail artists as swatches. That's what Cristine started as and I think it's nice to see them on all different kinds of nails

Yes! I've been using glass files since then, too, and it was LIFE-CHANGING! They _really_ are the best files EVER! And one absolutely CAN file in both directions without damaging the nail with a glass file! Not with even the finest emery boards can file a natural nail without damaging the edge by separating the layers of keratin. Glass files are the ONLY way to file a little rough spot before it gets away and becomes a snag, and still let your nails grow long and strong!

@@atriyakoller136 You know, I was worried I wouldn't like the file because of the thickness, too. But it's fine! Yes, it feels weird at first, but the texture is so fine that I don't need to file under my nails or more than a stroke or two down the sides. The glass file actually makes the edges feel _sealed_ like they're made of glass themselves. There aren't any little hanging-on bits of nail under there to file away. I really like my glass files now. I wouldn't be able to have longer nails (without acrylic products) without the glass files.

Krushi Bhakta in my experience, yes but they’re also a lot easier to control and you can take off more or less at a time and remove the scragglies at the end. I also think it’s important to get a good quality file too
@@krushibhakta6895 Glass files are the BEST! They don't separate the layers of keratin in your nails like emery boards or metal files do, assuming that's what you mean by "scragglies." If you get a glass file, and it doesn't have to be _this_ file, I promise you will love it and never go back to whatever you are using to file your nails now.

I really admire Cristine for literally turning her hobby in to a business, like, how??? And she makes really good quality products too. Nail files should help with that sensitivity cause they don’t scratch... I absolutely can’t do those rough paper files, makes me cringe! But nail files are sooooooo smooth
I agree, I hate when nail salons file my nails. 😖 But I find my glass nail file is smooth. I have one from bliss kiss and it doesn’t feel like a typical nail file. It’s less like sand paper and more like a fine gritty piece of rock. (That’s the best way to describe it)

It is much easier to use and is really helpful, it's definitely better than normal files! the sensitivity isn't too bad, I can deal with it but I guess it's just like nails on a chalkboard 😂

@@MrsJolene- I usually use an emery board for acrylic nails because I know how hard they are. The glass file definitely didn't cut it for me when I had dip powder on recently and was trying to file/cut them down. It's gone now, though!!

I bought some glass files after you recommended them on your main channel, and I've never looked back. I even bought some extras so I could give them to curious onlookers who wondered aloud what I was using... I love them! My nails are very strong, so they'll snap rather than bend if pressure's applied in the wrong way; filing them down rather than trying to cut them has saved me so much heartache, and the time required isn't that much different compared to cutting & reshaping anyway.

Having recently purchased the nail file bundle with the new multichrome collection, I'm thrilled with how quickly and easily the files work. They clean off really easily and they're a wonderful product that I'm very excited about. However, what Cristine never told us (that I've ever seen) is that if you use the file incorrectly, it creates a sensation EXACTLY like catching your nail on a chalkboard. If you hate this feeling as much as I do, you know what I'm talking about. It took me about a week to get used to these files and get over the chalkboard-ness because that feeling makes my skin crawl and gives me goosebumps. I love the product, but I wish I'd had a little warning.

When I ordee Holo Taco I order it to my aunt's house in the US, and then she sends it to me. So if you have someone living abroad like USA or Canada you can do that, and also it's shipping will bi cheaper because they'll ship it somewhere in US or Canada and not across the ocean. Hope it was helpful.

I gotta hand it to Cristine - I had always used emery boards to file my nails until she mentioned glass nail files in one of her videos. I got one at my local beauty store to try it out. The difference is HUGE! She made a convert out of me.

I sure hope so, because since I've made the switch to gel polish I just don't have the patience to wait a half-hour between EVERY coat of regular nail polish. Give me gel and let me dig in my purse in TWO MINUTES FLAT!!! I simply can't go back to hours of waiting for wet nails!

Same, but I love her glitter polishes, I usually do two coats of her glitter polish (3 is better but the third coat takes ages to dry so I only do that on occasion) and then once they’re dry (pretty quickly) I use a gel top coat, cure it clean with rubbing alcohol and done! And it looks great.

I had one of these for years for my babies. This is perfect for new mommies that are scared of hurting precious little hands. I bought mine in the nicu at our hospital And gave it away when my last baby was three it lasted seven years in mine home and is now onto its third baby in my friends house. I gotta say, Cristine introducing me to glass nail files was a life saver for my Grandma. She had a stroke a few years ago, but her nails grow so fast and it would take her at least an hour to file them with an emery board. Her hands would just get so tired and she'd have to take breaks. It takes her 20 minutes with a glass file. She was so happy she nearly cried! She made me get her an extra in case she loses her other one!

I would cut my nails with nail clippers for years before I first started ur vids. Including the ones w/tips on nail care, since then my nails have been lovely. They used to be all weak, uneven. Now I take better care of them, using a nail file too. Love this & will b supporting holo taco even more!!!! Glad you’re coming out w nail care items as well 🙏🏽

I keep a glass file with my beauty stuff, in my purse, in my car, and in my night stand. They really work wonders for jagged nails.

I purchased this file and absolutely LOVED it! Yes, I said loved...apparently it's not "me" proof. I kept it in my nail stuff carrying case but when I zipped up the case...it put too much pressure on the file... I think this was the first time I cried over a nail product. *SOBS*

I had a nasty break happen about the same time as you Cristine! On my thumb, ripped halfway across, way up in the middle of the nail. Did the tea bag technique, and kept having the same issues you were having with the repairs. (I know you don't like acrylic) but I busted out my acrylic and did a VERY THIN overlay until I grew out to a comfortable length, and it worked heart❤️
But I know your pain Cristine. The BEND BACKWARDS breaks are super painful. My condolences, and I hope they grow back fast!

Of course, although for sanitary reasons, you may want to use a different file for your toenails than your fingernails. I’m not sure how easy they would be to disinfect.
I know it's a joke, but. Seriously, they have glass foot files that are pretty freaking awesome. Unlike the ones for your fingernails, the ones for your feet are meant to be used with friction so you wanna go quick and light. I have one for my home pedicure kit and, when used after a rasp, they just really tidy everything up and make your feet look pretty. >.>

I've been using glass nail file and glass nail buffer for about a year? Ever since Cristine mentioned that she liked glass file better in one of her video (I forgot what it was). And it was a god sent! Haven't change them since I bought them, haven't experrience nail splitting (my nails is so thin, it caught on the file very often). Granted, I bought a cheap one from China. But for sure will buy this one to support Cristine.

I just bought a glass nail file on amazon, I'm loving it! My nails were a splitty mess, I found out from your videos that glass files existed!
Love the videos, been using a glass nail file for 15yrs now best money I ever spent, just rinse under water and it is good to go again, am still using my original purchase after all these years they never run out, also have a small one to keep in my handbag for those out and about emergencies

Have you used glass files all your life? All the glass files that I have owned (or given as gifts) were made in the Czech Republic! It's where (I believe) all the best glass files are made. I never even saw a glass file until about five years ago.
BTW, I don't know if you know it or not, but Simon Whistler of Top Tenz and Today I Found Out and half a dozen other channels is an Englishman living in Prague with his Czech wife and their baby. He's a cool guy and I thought you might either know the channel(s) or that you might enjoy it because he records almost all of his videos from his Prague office.
@@calichef1962 Holo! I don't know this channel, but I can try it! I started using glass nail file about 3 years ago (czech), before that I had used acrylic one - it was terrible in comparison to glass one!

When your nails aren’t even long enough to file but you watch because it’s just so damn satisfying...
That's why i use a metal file. If it barely has a white rim you can shape. But nearly not extending past the fingertips, you can get under and file it that way. Which works pretty well.
They also aren't expensive but still a bit more than cardboard obviously.

Just ordered 2, one for my nightstand (when I’m sitting in bed I always notice imperfections in my nails) and one for my manicure set up!!
You should also go to Amazon and find one in a metal or hard plastic case so you can carry one in you purse or backpack. I MUST have a file in my purse because I seem to be out in the world somewhere every time I break a nail!
