@christopher smith Mate, everyone from the UK is British and England is part of the UK. If the character or actor is English then calling them British is equally as valid as calling them English. Same as calling a Welsh person British, or a Ontarian person Canadian, is equally valid. Stop arguing over something when there's literally nothing to argue about.
@christopher smith Well that's fine. If you're English then you're free to call yourself English, British, or both. I'm half English myself. But just because you self identify as English only and don't call yourself British doesn't mean that it's wrong to call an Englishman British. You're making a complete ass of yourself because you're arguing off the basis of your own personal preference rather than fact, and the fact is that people from England are both English AND British. Oh, and as a side note, coming from someone who is both half Australian as well as half English, most people from outside the UK tend to favour the demonym of British - rather than English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish - for the sake of simplicity.
@christopher smith No, English people are both English and British. It's up to the individual as to which denonym they prefer to place over the other. And even if the stuff you said in your comment was true, you've still just admitted that it is valid to call English people British, meaning that there is nothing wrong with the guy calling the characters 'brits'.
@christopher smith Question for you, where is "Skyfall" ? It is Bond's family home in Scotland. In this movie Bond goes back to where his father is from and where his family home is, Glen Coe in Scotland, and his mother is Swiss... so with a Scottish father and Swiss mother what does that make Bond? Not English that is for sure,.... but he is British.. The author Ian Flemming wrote Bond's Scottish back story, if you knew anything about Bond or had read any of the books you would not be banging on about how he is English rather than British,...you'll be telling us next that Wimbledon winner Andy Murray is English and not British, or is he Scottish first and British second? The only Bond actor to accurately fit the nationality of Bond was Sean Connery, a Scotsman....not an Englishman... so that kinda defeats your assertions about English rather than British doesn't it? James Bond is a British secret agent, end of, just let go of the English rather than British thing dude cos you are talking rubbish.
That scene was created to show Bonds superiority over Silva in timing, precision, reflexes and athleticism despite bonds injuries and recovering condition....
There's something very satisfying about Bond pushing his way along a crowded tube platform - Caribbean beaches, Swiss Alps, the Pyramids.....the district line
Jugal Patel Agreed, but Skyfall made people hate Spectre. It was good, it just wasn't amazing. Skyfall set people's expectations sooooo high so that when Spectre came out and did just "ok" people said it sucked...
+benito franco I agree. Personally I think Skyfall is amazing (the opening song, actors Javier Bardem and Daniel Craig, its cinematography).. and Spectre is 'so-so' (despite Christoph Waltz being a decent actor).
Daniel Craig makes one bad ass James Bond (maybe the best ever). For he fits the image, in looks and temperament, of what I always believed Bond to resemble, and be like, and measure up to. Basically Daniel Craig portrays that iconic character in such a cold blooded and ruthlessly efficient manner, with this unfazed and devil may care insouciance, all while projecting this sort of grim detachment from his inner, nagging conscience, along with displaying this tormented ambivalence that radiates from within (it's all written on his face). He becomes James Bond (Craig has nailed it!). GREAT FUCKING job Danny boy!
+Taylor Ahern An interviewer asked him what did he do in his acting of the character that made it one of the best portrayals of James Bond in history and he replied ''James Bond is a bad guy. He just happens to work for good guys''.
I would also designate James Bond as this quasi-psychopath, or this hard core dude with psychopathic tendencies. And Daniel Craig nailed it, he captured that essence perfectly (it was almost as though his steely eyed and laconic character in Layer Cake was this warm up for the iconic role that he would assume). Craig, you rock!!
+Taylor Ahern Agreed. He does also display great brutality and sometimes very little empathy within his character. He does even convey a sense of a really flawed human being underneath the character's cold blooded armor (of course that is down to the writing). He's a character with pretty much the world partly on his shoulders. It's a burden for him. It's debatable whether he can classified as a hero or a villain "working for the good guys" but netherless it's James Bond. And Craig pretty much nails every aspect of the character.
Yeah, I do really like him as Bond. He doesn't have a model-like face and is rough and a bit brutish at times. He's alot better than Brosnan, who was too softy-like IMO.
I just LOVE the way he delivers, "Oh, good. There's a train coming." Plus, of course, all the other bits in this scene that everyone else loves. Skyfall is such a great movie, just in general, and definitely one of the best (if not THE best) Bond one.
Which would've made sense geographically since this is a Jubilee Line train and that would be the second stop headed towards Stanmore from Charing Cross.
+Andrew De Jesus i can imagine timothy Dalton and Pierce Bronsnan inside the crowded train, Sean Connery, roger Moore and George Lazenby walking with the crowded passengers in the subway. Love how there's a grate that leads to an easy escape just next to the isolation chamber made of glass and having like two guards for a dangerous criminal.
temple tube station is on the district line not jubilee line . Anyway it sounds like a northen line train with the 1996 stock at Charing cross. Great movie but really should have thought about it.
I don't understand why they say it's the district line when the district line uses taller trains, this one looks more like the Northern line, can anyone explain?
It's the jubilee line train before they refurbished them with the grey coloured bars and greyer interior. They also removed the Jubilee line's actual sounds in the editing and replaced it with the S-stock sound effect. This tube station was the disused Jubilee line platforms Charing Cross, which was its old Terminus. Also, the actual Temple station looks entirely different...its a cut and cover, not to mention the District Line trains are taller and slower in speed.
Simply incredible how these Bond movies can engineer a tampon that fires a micro-nuclear weapon coated in Ebola into James’s face and yet still can’t get small and large profile tube lines sorted out.

Such a shame. There are TWO underground systems in London - the deep level tube where this sequence was shot and the sub-surface system of the Circle, District, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City lines, where this sequence is meant to take place. Basic error.
+Jamz al. How very offensive for you to use the term 'autistic' as a term of abuse, I would report your comment if there was a means of doing so. Clearly you have no experience of autistic people.
About to say! There is no deep level tubes at Temple station. Only the Circle and District lines go there and they're both sub surface lines and don't use the '95 stock
Tanner: "Silva's escaped." "Bond's in pursuit." "We need to get you to a secure location immediately, Ma'am!" M: "I'll be damned if I'm going to show her my back." Minister: "Are we straining your attention?" M: "No." "Please, Minister." "Proceed."
Bond fired 3 shots at that door-half the capacity of the PPK in .380 and yet when Silva is caught climbing the ladder, Bond fires a further 3 shots. However the gun is neither shown clicking empty or the slide back... please feel free to argue... i would rather have more info than less

Sooo many inaccuracies regarding the London Underground!
I dont think most people pay attention to these things. Every film is inaccurate.

One of my favourite parts in the movie
Daniel Craig - great!! Well done - directing, writing, and editing. Oh good there’s a train coming!
Such a shame. There are TWO underground systems in London - the deep level tube where this sequence was shot and the sub-surface system of the Circle, District, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City lines, where this sequence is meant to take place. Basic error.
+Ian Gordon Only autistic people give such a big damn about the accuracy (or lack thereof) of the Underground network as depicted in a Bond movie.
+Jamz al. How very offensive for you to use the term 'autistic' as a term of abuse, I would report your comment if there was a means of doing so. Clearly you have no experience of autistic people.
THAT IS NOT DISTRICT LINE, THAT IS NORTHERN OR JUBILEE
+kyratosking It's the old Charing Cross Jubilee line platforms
About to say! There is no deep level tubes at Temple station. Only the Circle and District lines go there and they're both sub surface lines and don't use the '95 stock
I forgot how cool this movie was even when it's set in present day times!
3:45 Jubilee line NORMAL then at 3:50 JUBILEE LINE TO WIMBLEDON 3:57 2009 Stock sounds...
Tanner: "Silva's escaped." "Bond's in pursuit."
"We need to get you to a secure location immediately, Ma'am!"
M: "I'll be damned if I'm going to show her my back."
Minister: "Are we straining your attention?"
M: "No." "Please, Minister." "Proceed."
I love the way he runs hahaha
Oh, love this new Q so much! Completely agree to someone, Q=Cute XD
Thats a 1995 stock on the circle with circle line sounds which then switch to 2009 stock sounds
Bond fired 3 shots at that door-half the capacity of the PPK in .380 and yet when Silva is caught climbing the ladder, Bond fires a further 3 shots. However the gun is neither shown clicking empty or the slide back... please feel free to argue... i would rather have more info than less
It's fiction. Realism would be compromised at some point.
***** in a few of the 007 films, the ppk is a six shooter. others it is 8.
It's a Bond film. For fuck's sake suspend some belief!
Framed by Washington DC lawyers
Ashamed as a London Underground enthusiast. They used the 95/96 stock on the district line.
I remember 2012, when the District and Circle lines used deep tube 1996 Stock. I thought they used S7 Stock.
😂😂😂😂😂
Bond: “It won’t open.”
Q: “Course it will put your back into it.”
Bond: “Why don’t you come down here and put your back into it.”
Makes me laugh every time. 😂💯
Gee, its sure convenient that Silva left the trap door ajar for bond to follow
The kind conveniences being in an action movie would provide you with.
kinda of like how big action heroes dont die in the movies
