- Michael Bisping gives his immediate reaction to UFC Fight Night: Blanchfield vs Fiorot which saw what some consider Chris Weidman's controversial UFC Atlantic City win vs Bruno Silva. Chris was ahead on the scorecards but with after an eye poke in Round 3 the fight was stopped and was initially called a TKO win but after the replay, it went to a judge's decision which saw Weidman win via Technical Decision.
Joaquin Buckley TKO'd Vicente Luque after Luque pulled guard and the French, Manon Fiorot defeats Erin Blanchfield setting herself up for a UFC flyweight title shot.

No. Just DQ loss. You shouldn't be gifted wins. A DQ is not a win. I think DQs should definitely happen. You should even get your win pay. But not on your record. Wins should actually be considered wins
If that happened they'd have to DQ or NC the fight before it where Dumas got eye poked then KO'd. You only stop fighting when the ref stops it. You DO NOT flop to the ground like a fucking flounder over an eye poke. The ref is obviously going to think you got dropped cause dropping from an eye poke isn't a normal reaction.

@feilidh agreed, but I also think from what I saw, Weidman received the worst eye poke of the fight. All of Weidmans eye pokes were kinda grazing and swiping, but Silva caught Weidman with an eye poke with a full power punch that was directly into the eye and he didn't flop around like a flounder.

When did Weidman become the dirtiest fighter in the UFC? He clearly should have been DQ'd. I would think someone who unfortunately lost an eye would have a bit more sympathy for someone (Bruno) who got totally screwed over by illegal eye pokes. Dumas also ko’d to an eyepoke . Petroski wobbled himself going for a takedown and got finished. Luque looked wobbled and shot for a sloppy double leg even tho I can’t even figure out how or when he got wobbled, curled up in a ball and let Buckley blast him in the face while having feet on hips the whole time. Blanchfield walked into so many check hooks she forgot she was a grappler. Wtf is going on??

I genuinely don't get this. When is an illegal eye poke not an illegal eye poke? This isn't the first time this has happened. It's also not unknown for the fight to be called off: Leon Edwards pokes Belal Muhammad in the eye, fight stopped , no contest; Chris Weidman does it for the third time , twice in quick succession and after consistently ignoring warnings about having his fingers outstretched, and it's "Well, let's see what happened up until that point, ok, we'll call it a decision to Chris Weidman!". Rules don't work unless they are applied consistently.

Weird how in One Championship they take muay thai fighters who have never used 4 ounce gloves before and they go entire cards without a single eye poke but in the highest level of mma in the ufc it happens in at least 30 percent of matches. It'd be very interesting to know how many times Weidman poked his training partners in the months long lead up to this fight.
Luque is done. McKee did nothing at all but clinch. Herbert isn’t ufc material. The women’s top 5 is sad. Weidman and ruziboev fights should be NC or DQs. Petroski kod himself so that was underwhelming… first few prelim fights were great though.

The Ref should have done a lot better job than he did. Both fighters were basically fighting the whole fight with their fingers pointing out.
A good Ref would have taken notice and warned fighters about it.
After all Weidman did he should be booked against Rousimar Palhares with Steve Mazzagatti as the ref, 100% chance of someone losing vision of an eye, perhaps Palhares even takes one of Weidman's limbs home with him as a souvenir.

Weidman had his fingers extended the entire match. That is no longer allowed in the UFC. The ref should've warned Weidman of a point deduction after the first eye poke. Result? Four eye pokes for the win. Yeah, happy to see Weidman back in form but a big asterisk will forever be next to this fight result.
