My nexus 5 does not show the "Allow USB Debugging" screen

itaintmebabe714 it does, i just rooted my nexus 5 which was running android 4.4.2 KOT49H or sumthing...and it worked like a dream!!

***** The Toolkit offers "Back to Stock" option. What I did was I Flash stock and do OEM lock. Then follow this video to get it back to Root.
Yea I tried back to stock option and it won't let me imma try the OEM lock

It worked for me on lollipop 5.0.1 LRX22C build. It took some time to unlock the bootloader that kind of scared me for a while cause I thought i've just brick my phone. But everything went fine, thx!

super tut mate rooted nexus 5 and installed custom recovery in few steps and then flashed xTraSmooth 2.1 odex rom from xda using twrp ;)

Thank you great tutorial but you missed one thing.To get RSA key you need an app that uses that.You need first to activate PTP from Settings>Storage>USB Computer connections and after that enable USB debugging.

i did this on my nexus 7 and when i clicked root and its supposed to start rebooting and whatnot it froze on the fast boot screen and nothing is working

But I had a query that after completing the rooting (ROOT with custom recovery option); should we be clicking on the Flash Stock or OEM Lock. What are they for? Do u suggest that I should do OEM Lock as anyways I am able to use my mobile.

It's most likely a driver issue with your computer. Use the driver installation guide option in the toolkit. If it still doesn't work, contact the developer or try on a different computer.

If you don't get the pop up, install the Google USB Driver.
I have all done. I am now in Boatloader Mode and i clicked unlock. But my pc can't find my Device. So what to do?
And my Drivers cant be installed.

Yes that is correct. Many devices tend to have problems updating even if they have a custom recovery installed.

The 'full driver installation guide' fixed my issue. This program is pretty nice.
I'm assuming that I don't have to install busybox if I don't want to, and instead install clockwork.
Busybox and ClockworkMod (CWM) have two different purposes and aren't really related. Busybox is sometimes needed for root apps to run properly, CWM is used to flash custom version of Android.

How to make backup of all my files like apps and all. I dont have much music in my phone though but I have google image, in which google show time to time that is is been uploaded to Google Photos.

Try to change USB mode - Settings > Storage > Menu > USB Computer connection - from MTP to PTP.
ADB device not found? I can't seem to get my Win8.1 pc to notice anything. Ideas? I tried using all the different usb ports on my pc. I can access the N5 via windows, and get into the folders, but the ToolKit isn't noticing me.

When you're selecting the device and Android version, if Lollipop is listed then yes. If it isn't, then no.
This video is not valid anymore. I have used this video one time before long ago to root the same phone. Now it is a few years later and it seems that the program that is used does use only useful to reflash, lock and unlock. it does not give root access anymore.

I had nothing to backup, once the Nexus 5 was rooted then I could take my main files and apps off of my Nexus 4 and transfer them to my Nexus 5.

I noticed that there was a backup feature in the toolkit. If I used that would I be able to restore my apps and data back onto my phone after rooting it?
Probably but I don't use that method. Ask the developer for a solid answer.
I unlocked it yesterday and used helium backup and that worked perfectly
