Reminds me of that victory way back in 1977 when Fiji beat the British Lions at the old Buckhurst Park.
Crusaders are the most successful team in the past decade, no doubt they are still title contenders this season, they will surely comeback strong.. But a good achievement from the Drua winning and hats off to the players and the coaching team.

A win is a win. Not fielding your best starters is not an excuse. Crusaders are Crusaders, the champion. Take the Fiji 7s team, in the recent 7s world's tournament s fielding 4 new players each time and getting beaten in quarter finals etc, we don't give excuses. Fiji is Fiji when it comes to 7s. " Win or Lose Happy ga! "

@@opetaiaseni1955 yes we complain about inconsistencies, ill-treatment, the FRU management but not about if our star players are playing or not. You see Fiji is a powerhouse in the 7s code therefore we can field any player experienced or not and they would deliver. Same with the Crusaders they could field a B or C team and still they would deliver. But it can't be sunny everyday right?

So show us the evidence where we complain about that. We might complained about the biased of the refs but never ever we making excuses that we lost because we don't have full strength team..maybe NZ and other international teams does but not Fiji when it comes to 7s

At 6:28 , the commitment from Drua #2, Ikanivere to get of the deck of scrum at the 60th minute of the game to go full tilt and support #6 at full speed is outstanding effort. A testament to his work ethic and mindset. The future of Fiji Rugby is in good hands.
Clearly Drua had it all wrapped in this sterling performance only, if not for the few knockons oh wow, a threshing of the champions. So pliz Drua, you are a team just as they are and know that what happened here is possible against other teams. Remember the Fijiana had set the platform from nothing. Believe and enjoy the romp on the pitch but never fail to have FUN and feel as if you are the champions and not wanting to bow to anyone. You must possess that wicked intelligence to stay ahead physically and in spirit.

Why? Super Rugby teams have been using Fijian players all these years. Finally a Fijian franchise team is developing its local raw talent rather than letting overseas franchises do that for them.
It shouldn't be embarrassing to lose to the Drua - they may be in their second season but they are not beneath any of these legacy teams. They are a team of world class athletes and it should be a privilege to play against them - this includes Moana Pasifika.

8 All Blacks and 7 potential ABs.. the Drua too are being trained my 2 times Olympic Champion Fiji Sevens Trainer Naca Cawanibuka..so the different is clear.
