Never just a dog. 4:34 have to stop. I am so very sorry. At 64, I've let go so many. I, and so many others, understand your heartbreak. You are so not alone. Peace. 💔⚘🍀🍃💕
Since finding your channel, I have gone back and watched them in order.. This one took me by surprise. I am so sorry. You invited us into your home, and we have followed your adventures across the country by coach and by rail.. So it hits hard when something like this happens... Especially when we have beloved pets too. I know it has been a while for you both... But sincerest condolences for your loss. Gizzy was awesome.
I just started following you, and I saw this video and as reluctant to watch, but we had to put our Pug Charlie down in 2018, and your video definitely resonated. Charlie was a Christmas present for my wife, yet made me a dog person. I understand your grief. We ended up getting a French Bulldog (my daughter's request), and after we put the cat down, another pug. I feel you. As much as I love our two dogs, I desperately miss Charlie, He was my pal. Keep safe out there. Hug your loved ones. Best wishes from a fellow old guy.
@@Jumpingoffthecliff Problem is, the darn things are not "just dogs." They are 100% people. They have hopes, dreams (literally), fears, joys, sorrows, habits, favorite things and things they hate. Just like any other person. Bless Gizzy's little heart forever.
So very sorry for your loss. Our two Pomeranians died this year, just a couple months apart. My husband’s the same as you. He wants a puppy right away, but I’m not sure I do. We’ll see how we feel the middle of next year. We’re not full timers and have a couple big trips coming up the beginning of the year that we would need to board any dogs. The cat does fine at his me for a couple of weeks. Praying that your grief subsides soon.
Awww Jean. Sorry about your dogs. I told Terri I want two in case something happens to one of them;) I’m much better, I was able to pet somebody’s dog who was walking past. I might even give in to Terri and go until next summer without a dog, but, I’m guessing she’ll come around. She hides her pain.
Not "just a dog". So sorry for your loss, although this is several months later. I also lost a fur baby just prior to you losing Gizzy. A cat, named Oliver. And almost a year before that, another cat, Angel. Both were long time companions. Both traveled with us in the RV and were much loved and treasured. We are so blessed to be able to have these wonderful friends in our lives. It is also so hard to lose them. I still grieve for my babies, but am so glad I was able to know them and share life with them. I have since added a new kitten to our family, Gracie. I am loving her so much and enjoying her silly kitten antics. My dogs are still trying to figure her out, but are patient with her attacking them (she's fearless!) and am looking forward to taking her on our next adventure. take care-Sue
No not just a dog, if your a animal lover , they are like children . Yes you really do need to get another, not replacing, but filling a hole in your hearts. Go get Lizzy ...... NO NOT JUST A DOG!! I think you would be much more happier with a puppy, but on the other had to get one from a shelter and give it a life that it much deserves is good too
I'm so very sorry for your loss my friend. Pugs are a very special breed, the clowns of the canine world, and attach themselves to humans in ways others don't. I know my experience with many pets over my lifetime and it's always difficult when one is lost. I have a pug now, my second one, his name is Emmitt and his picture is my thumbnail. I didn't think I could ever have another after losing the first one was so difficult but, Emmitt removed all those doubts in about 5 minutes. Pugs are simply awesome. I picked up Emmitt (his name was Pickles) at a shelter the same day someone brought him in. The paperwork said he was "too needy" for his current family. It was one of the luckiest and best days of my life when I met him and I knew immediately I had found the right companion. And, my best friend.
@@Jumpingoffthecliff Yep, I thought it was odd because he really only wants his belly rubbed, sit in your lap from time to time, and to be chased. He loves all people and all things. For me he's 1 in a million!
Yeah, I damn sure don’t want outlive my kids or grandchildren! I’m not sure how people handle that kind of loss:( I’ll consider myself lucky as long as I depart long before any of them!
We do love our fur kids. I'm with you, if I get like that, give me a shot and a hug and send me off. Sorry for your loss, Buddy.

Honey and Me sorry about your cats:( it is hard but it just reflects the love we get from our pals on the road!
I respect your emotions. Going through the same thing. Pets are like family. But we have to carry on and take it day by day. 👍🏼🌵🎋🌵🎋🌵🎋🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Cliff Andree sorry for your loss. It is harder than I was expecting.
Our animals are never "just a dog, or a pet". They are our fur babies. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Been viewing some of your past videos...pets are family no doubt
Isn't that the truth! It is amazing the bonds we develop.

Sorry for your loss, I had to put mine down back in late in December 2016. It's hard and I know how you feel. Keep in contact, Crazy Hobo Johnny.
Sorry John. I hope you’re ready to enjoy some fall train hops!
Heard on Blind Views you lost your precious furbaby. I'm so sorry to hear that. On the wings of angels on to Rainbow Bridge. RIP.

hornshwangler a “needy pug” translates into spectacular pal if you ask me!

That's the trouble with pets, hopefully we outlive them.
