Spending the month of September in Thailand this year, really looking forward to hitting up the elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai. Also intend to stay in Krabi, Phuket, and Bangkok. Love this country.

The elephants look great & the great thing about Thailand is it’s much cheaper than Singapore!

I have been living in Chiang Mai for 5 years and this year was the first one that had any smoke from burning in the hills.

Try the yellow dragon fruit, its really sweet and delicious. They sell them in Singapore. There are 3 types of this fruit.

I would recommend taking the bus from Singapore to Malacca for a nice weekend trip. It's a nice old British/Portuguese town.
I'm back home in SF now, but I did go to Jewel on Tues/Wed and it was beautiful, though very crowded. I wanted to try the Pandan Shake at Shake Shack, but it was not open on Tues. So I went again on Wed on my way home, but the wait was 1.5 hours long...I guess it will have to wait till my next trip to Singapore.

I will definitely be more careful when I am planning to visit an elephant farm, ie no chains, elephant rides or anything forced on these amazing animals.

April is not the best time to go north . There are over 300 temples in Chiang Mai . I think that Wat Phra Man is the oldest . Chiang Mai is one of those cities that deserves a second look .
