Tbh, people are saying the original king ghidorah toy is trash cause its colour is wrong and its brownish but we dont even know his real colour because of the lightning flashing everywhere. Bandai did a good job on the first one but its quality got better on this one so i still suggest buying this one
Great review as always. This is figure looks gorgeous. I personally don't need it in my collection because I have the original and the Heisei Special Color Ghidorah already fills my quota for a shiny gold Ghidorah.
Yeah I felt the same way when this was first announced. I missed the preorder window but just came across it one day and saw some preorders were now open so I jumped on it and actually forgot I had it preordered. Its good to have to fill a void I felt with the new movies in figure form but can total understand your perspective. If you have the original them there really is no need to get another.
Ahhh good to see I am not alone. Yes well worth the wait for the correct figure. The flight stand came with the original King Ghidorah, which should have also came with this new version.

Depends on how you collect I would say. If you ant the original one due to it being the first version and probably going to be worth a little more than the newer one in the long run. But I collect to have the best representation of the character as I first saw them and enjoy them. So I went with the newer version as to me this is the correct color she is in the movies and in the Godzilla lore.
i just looked at some reviews of Hiya ghidorah and it has a heinous paint scheme, not to mention the wings look hideous. people say its more accurate but if that's true, i prefer the inaccurate SHMA by far. lame that it doesnt have lightning effects though. its a very nice figure but its a rip off. even at the discount price i paid it feels overpriced but it looks great especially with this paint scheme. i also got the Mecha Ghidorah. and they look great with my x-plus 1964 classic Ghidorah that came put about ten years ago in japan. i missed the x-plus GMK ghidorah which im still sick about. was just out of collecting for a few years. hoping for a re-issue. i dont eve want to look up if SHMA did a GMK ghidorah... in case i missed that too 😅

I have this figure it’s amazing. Also, King Ghidorah in the move is NOT gold. It’s a yellowish brown but still brighter than the shma original one.

Are your ankles loose of the tails? On mine those two places of articulation are pretty solid.
