I share these sentiments entirely & pray for the same intentions. The universality of our faith shines throughout this video of Holy Mass, such that I instantly recognized the melody of the Mode IV Alleluia (& other hymns, at Communion for example) then sang along with goosebumps & a heart full of praise. Beyond Mass, they may have the same hopes & dreams as we do, but many of our crosses pale in comparison to theirs. God give them the strength, hope & opportunities they need.

I am so happy this church exists in North Korea. I went to Catholic Church as a teenager but it was more of just religious information. But in 1973 I prayed to Jesus from all my heart and asked Him if He was the Saviour and Lord ? After the prayer I felt the Presence of God come on me …so powerfully. No longer did I have just head info about God but now had an encounter with Him. We must love God and love people and live even those who do not love us. This can only be done by God’s Holy Spirit which gives us love joy peace… God loves cares forgives and protects us from the devil and demons. The devil and demons hate deceive destroy tempt and Satan wants people to go to hell forever where he will torture the souls forever and ever… Jesus is only a prayer away. Jesus will forgive anyone no matter how bad their sins are. God bless you.

The church isn't independent however. It's controlled by the state to try and show that it is tolerant of religion. Don't be fooled into thinking that North Korea would allow the church to get bigger. The only thing that matters to them is the state and the party. Any other organisations that turn the focus of the citizens away from the party and the state is a threat to North Korea

Yes brother/sister it was definitely a Novus Ordo Holy Mass, but it appears to have been celebrated quite reverently, and our Lord was just as present there (by His immensity, sacramentally, and by grace in the souls of the baptized) as He is in the Tridentine Mass.
