We arrived at #Berat located in Albania. We went from #Kosovo to #Albania and encountered incredible hospitality. We arrive first from #Prizren to #Tirana where we pick up our rental car. From Tirana we drive to Berat, which is located more or less in the center of Albania. We tour Berat and let ourselves be delighted by its people and traditional food. With an incredible history, being the oldest city in Albania, we learn about all its history and local legends. Constantine the Great was indeed the Roman emperor, but his origin was from Dardania, "today's Kosova" from the city of Nisit, which was unjustly taken by Serbia! So he was definitely an Albanian... 👍🏻

1-The name "Antipatreia" has nothing to do with Latin.
The city got its name from Antipater who was a general of Alexander the Great.
2-Antipatreia was called Beligrad after the Bulgarian occupation and not after the Serbian occupation

Actually in albanian when you say 'një mbi një dritare' (one above one window) it sounds very close to 'një mijë e një dritare' (one thousand and one windows) This is where it gets confusing and many ppl call it a thousand windows, but it's not correct. Great video by the way. My mom is from Berat and I spent some of my childhood years in this beautiful city!!!
