Seems brilliant. I never shift one gear at a time. I either muscle through a quick up or I have to shift 4 times to achieve the right gear to crank up the the hill. Racing enduro I hear so many gears bringing due to the dramatic shifting required. This could solve a lot of problems. Unfortunately I need to try it first before committing to my new build.
For me it was cheaper to get a whole new box drivetrain than to replace my current Shimano chain, cassette and dérailleur. So I'm gonna be trying out box when it arrives from the store 😂😊
even when it was just Box One and Box Two I didn't see the difference in quality or performance value and went with the Box Two E-bike and have not regretted it. less gears, same range as a 12 spd drivetrain, less weight, more focus on riding, less fuss, more enjoyment so what's the problem? all the people out there knocking it are just brainwashed, biased, can;t think outside the box folks. Toby Henderson who is one of the OG's of BMX world is the muscle behind Box Components. Give them a shot!!!
Personally I’m going with the 8 speed aka box 4. It’s the perfect price and basically has the same range as the 9 speed cassettes, it also it has one less gear and could possibly be lighter? Not that I really care about the weight though.
hell yeah. 11-42 on the cheap. he spent no time promoting it but that could be a big seller for people turning entry level 3x's into 1x8. especially for jumping/parks where climbing is less important...
Hi there. I know this is an old video. But I'm planning to restore and upgrade my 26 inch Giant XTC 1 hardtail from 3x9 to a 1x10 or 1x9. I'm more than a roadie than a MTB'r, but I do like to go off-road some times and ride trails with buddies. And that's why I think a 1x9 (wide range) would be enough for me. Where I live we have to order everything online because our LBS don't have that much in stuck. Where can I get these set. Thanks in advance
Hi. Can the box 3 set be run with a stock dual drive train, on 2021 Giant Talon 2. Or would need to convert the front drive train to a single sprocket? Please any info will be great.
eczzsyy no, just use a regular 9 speed chain, brand doesn’t matter with chains because the thickness of it depends on how many speeds your drivetrain has, for example if you have a 9 speed drivetrain just search for a 9 speed chain and it will work.
you can probably use it for the first two chain rings, but not the third. the chain would have to be really long for the 53 front and 50 rear and will make it to loose for the 24 chain ring
The cassette alone is 360 bucks and its made of steel! Overpriced garbage if you ask me. You can get a variety of wide range cassettes online from Asian markets

The Box two group cassette is $100 and weighs about the same as NX eagle. Its intent is clearly not to appeal to the weight weenies and it certainly is not for everyone, but I think the box two is a good mix of value and price. I have been looking for something with Eagle range but less gears and I know quite a few others who are going to give it a shot. But no question it is a niche product.
I have the Box Two drivetrain that cost $269 for shifter cassette derailleur and chain and has worked perfectly flawless. They have 4 drivetrains and you can mix and match if you want. Have you seen the price of XTR or SRAM stuff when it comes out? Yes buying gear for your bike can be expensive but typically it is very good quality. If you don't want to spend the money for good quality parts then go buy cheap stuff and replace it and in the end you spend more than you would for the quality stuff in the first place.

Love it! Lighter and has the same min and max gear range. Way to go guys!

At last..some common sense from a manufacturer..more range-less gears..9 speed was all we needed,10,11,12,13 was newer good enough like 9 speed..
really interested in the box 8 clutch at price i think is good value if it fits my bike

Hey i know nothing about bikes and am just getting into it. I have a 2020 giant talon 3 and i want to know if this will work on my bike?
When are you guys selling your products in Brazil?

GLOBAL sales manager (⌐ ͡■ ͜ʖ ͡■)
With the Prime 9 sets, are you only able to use a Box chain?
eczzsyy no, just use a regular 9 speed chain, brand doesn’t matter with chains because the thickness of it depends on how many speeds your drivetrain has, for example if you have a 9 speed drivetrain just search for a 9 speed chain and it will work.
Cassette for box one is over price
What is brand name of chain
Can this cassette be used with a 24/40/53 triple crankset?
you can probably use it for the first two chain rings, but not the third. the chain would have to be really long for the 53 front and 50 rear and will make it to loose for the 24 chain ring
Hi is it okay if I use different cassete
Sure use the sunrace one. I think it's the exact one because i dont think box makes their own casettes
I like box but this sales guy is horrible. Please get someone else to do the speaking, this is nauseating.
he got to the point lol you're a little harsh
