I love hearing Kobe talk, he's a smart guy and the most important thing is, he communicates well
I agree
Agree.
***** Would you say he's more articulate than Michael Jordan?
***** I totally agree, I think his international experience gives him the edge
+Kasim Roe how is he emulating Jordan in behavior and conduct? You kidding me? MJ is an ASSHOLE of a person. He doesn't like interaction with anybody. Kobe is the total opposite. Please
RIP kobe...The basketball world will miss you brother...
The world will miss him
The world will you kidding me
Doulon Kuriou why do you people always have to bring God into everything
@Doulon Kuriou what about you sir?
Doulon Kuriou holy shit shut the fuck up
I cannot believe Kobe is gone. It still is so crazy to me. Not only that he passed away but the way it happened. Still in disbelief. R.I.P. to our generations MJ and the next generations “Kobe.”
Such a loss. He was meant to do so much more and it was all cut short. Breaks my heart.
What? He retired? Are you on about in life or basketball
jake heeney Kobe. He’s dead.
@@25mL I know that you dumb fuck. How was he meant to do so much more if he retired from basketball what more?
@@jakeheeney1671 his business programs for mentoring young athletes, his upcoming series with espn which analyzes older matches and players and other creative works. He had a lot of life ahead of him
..... God had other plans. 😓🙏
Kobe was such a cool guy.. When I first heard he died I thought it was a hoax but him dying just goes to show you that you never know when it’s your time to go so cherish every moment you have and love the people around you.
🙏🙏🙏
I think Shaq and Kobe’s relationship really seemed to improve after they retired and that made me very happy
They were cool with each other whenever they did talk, but they only spoke to each other no more than five times.
Love Kobe he is articulate in his speech and his sense of in-depth explanation
May he Rest in Peace
Love he can't afford a decent helicopter ride.
4x iRacing World Record Holder it was good the pilot should’ve grounded it as it was too foggy.
@@Rowdygrom love that u can't afford a helicopter at all
4x iRacing World Record Holder what was the point of your pathetic comment?
Anyone else find themselves smiling when Kobe laughs or smiles while saying something? RIP
Great interview. Kobe was a beast. Love him or hate him he did what it took to get his team to win 5 championships and he stayed loyal to the lakers for his whole playing career which is a rarity these days.
+CycleCruza Not to take anything away from Kobe, he's probably a top 20 or 25 all time player (no disrespect, I just haven't watched the old guys play so I can't make my judgement objective about them), but you guys have to stop with this kind of stuff.
"...he did what it took to get his team to win 5 championships...". No, HE didn't. Jerry Buss, Jerry West, Phil Jackson & Tex Winter did what it took to win championships. It was Shaq's team up to 2003, but they couldn't have won without the role players either - Shaw vs the Blazers in game 7, Horry and the refs vs the Kings etc. Later on - gm 6 vs the Suns Artest scoring on the layup after Kobe's airball, the whole team effort in 2010 vs the Celtics in gm 7 - Pau Gasol, Fisher and those guys. It all started with the management bringing great players, first off around Shaq, later on around Kobe and Phil Jackson's coaching.
Second - he played with the Lakers his whole career, after he was traded from the Hornets. He requested a trade in '07 because he didn't get any help, and the Lakers trade for Pau Gasol in 2008. Who wouldn't be loyal.
Like I said, no disrespect to Kobe - he's a top 4 player in the post Jordan era (alongside TD, Shaq, Lebron)
+Ej Bi your a fucking idiot .
highlife.Jay good for you. you're parents must be proud of you
+Ej Bi go back to school kid, let The people who witness REAL GREATNESS talk bout NBA Basketball, fool
Kram Cjier I think you should go back to school and learn how to spell.
Kobe is a competitor and always strived for greatness.
His grin is so cheeky. :) Life is tragically unfair sometime.
Kobe was too ambitious and too determined to not be the alpha on his own team. They said he couldn't be the #1 on a champion ship team and he did it twice. The type of player that will do what fans say he can't.
Thank you for not saying ‘rip kobe’ or something
@@lynx7631 yeah, all those people telling Kobe to rest In peace, how annoying.
Shaq and Kobe were great. If it could have worked our damn lakers would have won more. Egos from both stars killed it.
No they wouldn't.
Everyone says that but they probably would have won zero. Pistons kicked the crap out of shaq & Kobe.
Mostly Kobe, because he was jealous of the praise shaq received, so then he started crying shaq doesn't work hard. If shaq didn't work hard how did he win 3 FINALS MVP'S in a row,in which less than a handful of players have done.
Christopher FACTS
I didn't hear "Shaq had to go".
Implied at 0:43
DreadfulControversy you got to actually listen to Kobe speak and comprehend what he's trying to say
i was ready to accommodate and compromise, etc until he said i could not win then i had to prove him wrong. either he goes or i go. who can carry the bigger threat, who matters more to Lakers?
Dreadful Controversy but Kobe made the Lakers trade shaq
Dreadful Controversy you're 100% right.
Came back to this video just to see the 🐐 another time. We loved him before and after death and I that brings me comfort that he was appreciated while here. We gave him roses while he could smell them. RIP Mamba.
I was waiting to hear .."Shaq had to go".. but he never said that... clickbait?
Ehhh if it was in ' ' itd be clickbait imo
It’s implied
Wasn’t in quotations
It wasn't in quotations moron.
@@SULLY937 kobe's answer is implying what the title says which isnt in quotes. Case closed
Shaq was just about to leave his prime in about two years at that point and Kobe was just getting better and better.
Shaq really had to go especially when you don't work as hard as you should to keep yourself in top form and making yourself still feel dominant.
+Natsu .D. Uzamaki plus kobe is much younger
Lee Hy About 5-6 years isn't that much younger but it is younger.
+Natsu .D. Uzamaki that is extremely older what the fuck, plus he was a center making his game more reliant on athleticism and dominance and Kobe was in a completely different stratosphere🔥FUCK
+Natsu .D. Uzamaki The 2004 finals series proved that Shaq was still the best player in the league when he wanted to be. Kobe destroyed the team with his selfish play in that series. Shaq averaged 27 & 11 on 63% FG%. Kobe attempted 6 FGA per game more than Shaq, and had 4 less points and a terrible FG% at 38%. Then the team broke down, 2005 Lakers couldn't make the playoffs, Phil Jackson published his book in which he smashed Kobe. It wasn't until 2006 or 2007 that Kobe was a better player than really out of shape Shaq.
He should've fed the big guy more.
Ej Bi I said Shaq was leaving his prime in two years at 03-04 so yes Shaq was still the guy at 04 but 05 and since Kobe has been better.
This guy, Kobe, is amazing how he spins in the air, elevated, and nails 20 feet plus jump shots...and of course he could cruise above the rim to the rim. Amazing times he is.
It's not just the basketball world that will miss Kobe Bryant but the world lost an incredible human being and his post basketball career had so much potential and he had so much more to offer regardless of what path he chose to take! Not necessarily a basketball fan but a big fan of the man and everything he stood for,how he carried himself and his will and his dedication to whatever he approached. Amazing human being and levels above the average and elite athletes aswell as the majority of most people in general whatever or whoever kobe wanted to do or be and he proved that in his short lived life! RIP LEGEND
Thankful for all these videos. Forever in our hearts, Kobe and Gigi ❤
RIP KOBE
They cared more about competing against each other then together!
yes but it was a “brotherhood” competition.... not to make each other look bad
It was a respect thing, Shaq said Kobe only won because of him. Kobe wanted to prove him wrong plain and simple
Markus Elliott Proving someone wrong is trying to compete against them instead of playing together.
😓😓😓...still hurts...thanks 4 the memories KOBE!!!!

Kobe shaq could've had 8 rings smfh
Johnny Dis sept Kobe was a looser
That's what's makes this whole thing so sad there's no telling how many more championships they could've won.
Darryl Wallace there's no would of/could of. they won 3 because Kobe put personal gain and ego over winning. that's part of who he is. winning not as important as what he wanted.
Johnny Dis No they wouldn't. I'd give them one more ring because by 2004 Shaq was breaking down fast physically and Kobe knew it.
Stalker Walker right.. idiot 7 NBA finals appearances in a 10 year decade 5 NBA championships during that time, u know nothing about basketball

Still to this day cant BELIEVE kobe is gone far too soon! Still sad, still have disbelief! RIP #8/#24
Still cant believe he is gone R.I.P
Kobe is a winner. All he knows is how to win.
Morts & More L
If all he knew was how to win he would've accepted that Shaq was a god amongst men and accepted a role as a secondary scorer. But instead he got him booted because he wanted all the glory for himself.
Morts & More kobe is more skilled than LeBron, but LeBron is a better teammate
Morts & More except for all the times he lost
he and other 10 gus win in roster basketball is team sport, who dont understand that is kind of 5 years old
Can’t watch this properly man. Rest in power Kobe

Absolutely amazing stuff Graham. I'm about to graduate college and have been watching UA-cam channels consistently for 7ish years now, and content wise I think your content is just as good as any other channel out there. It's crazy seeing you with only 15,000 subscribers, but enjoy it while it last because it wont be long until you have half a million next to your name. Keep up the great work.

It was 100% true Kobe didn’t figure out leadership and become a great player till 2008 forward. Before that he was just a spectacular talent.
88smjls exactly and that’s what ppl do t understand. It wasn’t that he was selfish. It was his first time really being the team leader he had to figure it out and once he did the rings came.

I still like the fact they split and they both won without playing together. It goes to show how talented they were in their days. Sadly, Kobe is no longer here but listening to these interviews on UA-cam it’s obvious that he developed himself to the point whereby he became one the greatest in the sport he played. Shaq on the other hand was just gifted with almost all characteristics that align with basketball
Kobe so damn smart he crazy.

+Paul F. the same reason why he is second to Mike.
+Raheim Young What's the reason?
+Paul F. never was original he copied Jordan style completely, and nobody can copy the goat style better than the goat himself.
My GF yelled at me from the next room & told me there was an accident and Kobe Bryant died.
She is always staring at her phone and giving me trivial news, so I was only half-listening
because I was playing with our kitten at the time.
Then my brain suddenly went into over-drive and I asked incredulously:
"Do you mean the basketball player ?"
(Like there could be some other Kobe Bryant)
She said yeah, so still not believing, I told her "no, that's got to be some kind of mistake".
But then I rushed to the other room and grabbed the remote control to turn on the TV.
I was semi-relieved to see CNN & MSNBC were still showing re-runs of their normal broadcast.
But then I turned on Fox news and they were already talking about it.
After a few minutes I checked back and that quick, both CNN & MSNBC had switched
to live broadcasts as the story unfolded and I spent the rest of the day glued to the TV.
RIP😢
Kobe is a legend, I’m sad he died so young.
I think they respected and came to have love for each other. They had different ideas on how to win, but you see how they embraced each other whenever they finally won the O'Brien. Just Alphas with different personas. Shaq is laid back and playful and Kobe had that Mamba mentality. They both got it done though, with and without each other. May KB24, Gianna and the other passengers rest in peace. Salute to KB24 for a well lived life, even though it was cut waaaaaaay too short.
If Shaq never came along in Kobe’s career -would it have been the same?? Gratitude - its a forgotten art!
Everything he needed Shaq kind could of been Tmac and the Lakers would have won in the early 00’s
What a lovely guy
RIP Bean. We love you
I heard so many ppl say that Kobe would've had 6 rings now, if they'd of just give the ball to Shaq more, during the '04 finals, where Detroit completely destroyed the Lakers in 5 games (I guess Kobe & Shaq cared more about feuding than winning that series)!
I agree they would have won if Shaq had the ball
Kobe didn't see Shaq work as hard as him so he confronted him about it and Shaq felt some type of way. If only Shaq had the same work ethics as Kobe and willing to take the Robin to Batman role, they would've won 5-7 championships easy.
Shaq was far more dominant than Kobe was, if Kobe had passed ball more they would have won at least 4 or 5 championships, but Kobe always wanted to be the man and he never was when compared to shaq.
Shaq in any universe is gonna make more layups and dunks than Kobe and MJ put together.
@@curtisanderson7930 A dominant big man will always be the first choice in basketball. Only issue with Shaq was not making free throws and staying in shape. Career could’ve been much better. Around championship 5 Kobe would’ve transition to the leader even with Shaq if they would’ve worked it out
Kobe was such an awesome guy...glad I got to watch him play. He deserves to have his name listed at the top with the NBA greats.
I miss you Kobe Bryant. 😢😢😢🙏🙏🙏
The BIGGEST locker room cancer in the NBA. Talented player but could have won so many more championships.

"I had to figure out when I could trust my team mates" that kind of ego is unprecedented in all sports. Most over rated, selfish player of aaalllll time
+Timothy Stratton dont cry baby
❤️ love you Kobe & Gianna RIP
Kobe is real hands down nothing else to say he is real and he lays it on the line like it is whether you like it or not hands down and that is how it is supposed to be in life sometimes you dont wanna hear the youth but if you dont hear it you probably need to hear it and that is real kobe is the best
it's funny because this shows how Kobe did not play to win. He played for his own selfish reasons. He cared about his own personal goals and wanted them more than winning..interesting that he was competitive but not a winner.
Stalker Walker so how did he win 5 rings lol?
McStrokeAvision well he won three rings playing 2nd fiddle to Shaq. it was Shaqs team and he was riding with him. Shaq put up historic numbers in finals with Kobe
McStrokeAvision shit name one guy that played 10 years for Lakers that didn't win a couple Championships. Lakers win 2-3 championships every 10 years.
Stalker Walker it's been 8 seasons since the last one and they don't look likely to win another ring for a while.
Razwan Ahmed lol that changed quick
"When to trust your team mates" this is why he never won a 'ship without TONS of help. The definition of a great player entails 100% trust in his team mates 100% of the time. I remember Kobe taking double and even triple teamed circus shots all through the 2000s and getting so much praise for making about 40% of them, at most. Meanwhile Lebron was making the simple pass to facilitate the simple bucket when defenses would collapse in on him. But I guess 1 on 5 basketball is more impressive than 5 on 5 to some people
+Timothy Stratton no way those circus shots were hit on more than 20% of attempts - but when he hits them, the highlights go on for years to come. And of course, stats don't matter in these cases.
There's no way you can call that 09/10 team stacked. Kobe carried them.
