It's a terrible idea for a team picking no higher in 2025 than 15 to wait to draft a quarterback. Any quarterback drafted after the top five picks is ready to start game one as a rookie. Draft Penix or Nix with a late first round pick unless Jerry Jones staff believe Trey Lance Jr. will be a pro bowl quarterback in 2025. Rookie quarterback without Dak Prescott in 2025 means Cowboys are tanking the 2025 season.

Forget whether Dallas wins in the playoffs or not. The question is, how does Dak play in the playoffs. In the regular season, he looks like an MVP candidate. Does he look that way when he's in the playoffs? No, he does not.
No sense blaming him for Dallas losing constantly in the playoffs. It was happening before Dak got there. Is he part of the problem with this current team, or part of the solution based on how he plays in the playoffs?
Dallas has other reasons for losing early in the playoffs but Dak is one of the reasons.

Why do they dance around the point when it comes to Dallas? They already used a 4th rd pick on a QB. So if they draft one, they essentially are using 2 picks this year on QBs, 1 they already have determined isn’t good enough to be a successor.

I think Brady and the Patriots had an understanding that by paying Brady less, they could actually keep a competitive team around him and therefore won playoff games and super bowls.

Am I missing something? How tf is Drake Maye better than JJ McCarthy for the Patriots at #3? JJ was coached in an NFL coach, ran an NFL type offense and only lost once his entire college career.
