They sure made this version smaller than its predecessor. This is a fine charger. I have an Opus bt c3100 that also charges Lithium.
I do wish this charger was a less expensive and had a separate lcd read out for each charging bay but that is pretty minor complaint.
    Nice video :)

That charger looks really top notch.. I loved the Maplin battery.. Those were the days when you could go into Maplin and buy one resistor ! Anyway.. Just ordered one from your website.. 73 , Pete

Subscribed if for no other reason, the funky house music opening. Great content. Cheers

Discharge mode is also useful to test non rechargeable batteries' capacity. Infact after discharging them, it won't start charge mode and shows the exact capacity of each battery.

Odd definition of "useful" I'd say... You'd know at the end how much charge/capacity your now dead battery used to have left....

@@AndreaDuni So you want to know if Duracell 2450 really are 2450, so you discharge one, and then you know that at least that one was 2450... seems a bit of a waste of batteries and resources... You could use it and see if it lives up to expectations. Perhaps leave the structured testing to pro-reviewers

@@wcndave it's not only me but a lot of customers that act so, just to check if it worth to spend more money in a set of battery with a specific declared superior capacity. I don't test all of the batteries, of course, just one of each type. You can look around youtube for similar comparisons.

Hi, so i charge mine but i have an issue i forgot to write down the MAH on a label etc so i put them back in to charge thinking it will say done and give me the total MAH it starts to recharge from scratch as if i never charge them before would this mean a faulty unit or design this way other chargers at least say percentage etc

Very good video Sir. The break-in mode is that only for new batteries? Bye from Canada...Richard

What is its major difference in terms of functionality vs the MH-C808M? I see the screen is more beautiful and seems to give more information but what does it bring others? Does it recharge the batteries better or is it worth conditioning them better?

  • @gaborm4767

Unfortunately it starts the charging with 1A after a power loss. Reading the status of all battery is very time consuming because you have to wait again and again for the data if you move to the next cell. No improvement on the software. NiZn is still not supported.

Something I found out today by calling the company that the instructions and your video doesn't make clear is if you want all four slots to be the same you need to hold down the "Enter" button as you are making your last setting input on the first slot. Not after you have entered all the settings for the first slot. For example if you are doing Refresh/Analyze you hold down the button when setting the discharge rate.

Yes, I was just going to say the same. Also, important to discharge before using Break-in mode.
You use the Refresh/Analyze mode for reconditioning old batteries.

Shouldn't it take 2 hours to fully charge a battery since you are advised to charge it at half the capacity. You often cite 1 hour in this video.

Not convinced. Knowing how batteries are built and ow they breakdown over time, the battery charger can't put back what it has lost. However, what it might be able to do is clear any partial shorts internally, but I am not convinced it can do that. I would like to see it revive some of the batteries I have here, their own charger charges them, but before you know it they are flat again. They may have a slight internal short, I don't know without opening one, but due to the way these are made that is not advisable, may end u with some flames! So, you are telling me the batteries you have are better than they were before you used them on this charger! It may be good at keeping new batteries in good shape though, at least there will be no reverse charging as all charged on their own. I am not convinced on this one. EDIT: Typo, again! NO, I didn't give you a thumbs down. I often wonder if people go around just to do that?
