The home we bought in 2014 was a genuine "fixer-upper"! Pretty much every window in the house was either broken or missing, the bathroom upstairs was so bad, one could stand in front of the commode, look down and see the basement through the hole in the floor! The siding had too many holes in it to count, due to the former resident never fixing them after hailstorms; the water heater didn't work and last but not least, the furnace blower motor had seized up. There were, of course, several other minor problems, but after fixing all of these, we have a home we can be proud of. Yes, we had professionals replace the broken single-pane windows with modern double-pane units and we also had some professionals replace the siding and totally renew the bathroom. This took a lot of work, but it was worth it. Therefore, we can readily understand how difficult this job of renovating the "cave house" must have been, 'cause it looked like they did more than we did, for sure! Congratulations on a beautiful home. PS: Loved the music!

@@hannahw111 I learned about it about 6 years ago. My son and his wife were feeling sick. Somebody suggested to have the home tested for Radon and it was loaded with it. Coming from the water. So they got a Radon filter and fan escape and they have been good to go ever since.

Great work. The only thing that I would have done differently would be to do the messy part first and finish with cleaning the glass and windows.

I think I would have checked every inch of the interior flooring areas with a metal detector before flooring.
Safety tip. Have the place checked for 'Radon" poising. You''ll be glad you did.
