It’s the 70’s taking us back to the Stylistics etc. Such great music. This is a great song with off the chart vocals. I’m 58 and my 17 year old son said hey listen to this. I was hesitant., I’ve heard what my son listens to and I’m too old for it. But this just took me back. Seeing you asked fir a response from an oldie . Relieved to see my son is gaining some taste in music finally. Ha

Anderson has his own band, the Free Nationals, and both bands will be contributing to the album. It’s not Bruno’s band plus Anderson, it’s a duo named Silk Sonic with musicians from both bands.
I'm only talking about the band in the video. They are apart of Brunos band The Hooligans. They are also the same ones who performed with them at the Grammys. I'm not talking about the whole album situation.

'70s. The "La la la la la" done by Bruno in the chorus and the "Woo Woo
Woo" done by Anderson.Paak is a classic 1970's Motown sound as is the
fade out of the song at the end. Although I am 63 years old and grew up
with what I think was the best music of my generation, the 60's, 70's
and 80's, I am still in my 30’s in my mind, heart, and spirit due to
this kind of music. This song has such a great vibe!!!!! I sort of feel
bad for the younger generations as most of their songs don’t evoke
romance, yearning for someone, fantasizing of what could be… I sure
am glad young folks are making such great music again and that younger
people are getting the chance to listen and appreciate real singing.

So over a year laytah, all their Grammy’s, etc., ya’ll must’ve heard the whole joint by now. Funny you mentioned psychedelics, check the last song on the album, Blast Off. About Bruno being underrated, I think it’s more like under-appreciated, & that may be partially cause he ain’t a ‘traditional’ r&b singer, not bein black & originally came on the set doin more pop like, Just the Way You Are. This is the residual chat I’ve heard anyway. Clearly the man love the music & sing his ass off. The classic soul, r&b, jazz, rock & 80’s/90’s soul hip hop, is all part of what they love & why they connect & bring it so hard, As far as underrated? I think Bruno could care less as long as he’s satisfied with his final product that he works so hard on, as well as writing songs for other artists that peeps mos likely don’t even know he wrote, which is why that man is worth close to 200 million. This amazing Silk Sonic collaboration is definitely takin Andy’s paper next level as well, no doubt. Great reaction! 👍🏾
