Any update on this? I know there are many others besides me who also want to see the production version of this bumper and trunk. When I go to JDMuscle they don't have a video about it but just one of those 10 second clips.
I talked to them. They didn't like a portion of it and are doing a revision for a small side. It's not out yet but as soon as it is I'll see if I can get my hands on it for you guys.
This looks so friggin dope, I was fine with the OEM bumper, I think people were blowing it a little out of proportion, but this may be worth getting. Hot damn
I use to buy motorcycles and cars based on how they look. Now I'm a little wiser and I buy them for how the feel. 22 wrx is a great daily toy. I'm shocked how many people would chose civic over this. Great little drivers car
@@VEEZER1 for sure. I was originally going for a GR86 but Toyota kept delaying my expected delivery, ended up going with the WRX because it's more practical and more fun in the snow than a FWD car would be.
For the low low price of $1,800. It's not a bad design. But, it's also fiberglass. That alone keeps me from buying one. The price is the other issue. This bumper is about $1,000 too much. Just because you are first to market doesn't mean you should charge whatever you want.
Love the aggressive look of the bumper, but generally you can’t just buy a rear bumper without getting skirts and a front bumper. It would look off with the height difference. Also, I wish full kits were cheaper for the VA, but I’m probably gonna end up going with minimum looking lips all around on mine in the future
Hot take here (also as a black VB owner it’s an even hotter take) but color match is ugly I think. It makes it look like every other sedan. Sorry not sorry y’all
I really wanted a single exit but the OEM bumper holes kept me from it. They do sell the bumper hole block to cover it for the VA. I'm sure they will release one for the 22 soon.
@@HeavyMetalWRX It can be made to look good, but how much is required to do so is a deterrent. Even more of a deterrent is the powertrain itself since Subaru's notoriously require a lot more effort than other platforms to reliably make more power and tend to want to die with even minor modifications. I've also not had a very good experience with this platform during my year long ownership so I'm at an impasse. Do I fork over money to try and make my experience better, or just jump ship to a much better platform by summer or years end.
True I may not be the only one but there isn't a legit content creator out there that is focusing all their efforts into the 2022 WRX. Cody at Street Inspired is back and got a 2022 WRX but who else is doing it that isn't a company selling parts? I'm genuinely asking because we need a stronger community of content creators behind this car.
@@Gonin60 thank you so much! Definitely, we need more unbiased testing in the community. There's going to be a lot of parts coming out daily and with as many of us testing and reporting back that's how we are going to know what's worth what.
Thanks for the vid. It looks really nice. But, I agree $1,800 for a bumper is nuts, and I could afford it, but that's not the point. Not worth it, right now, to me. I'd like to see it with the OEM cladding too. And, does that diffuser come with it. It looks like they fused the rear cladding to the bumper because I don't see any line between the 2. Or, maybe it's wrapped. I really like the side openings. I think we could use that for rear brake cooling. Not sure if it would mess with high-speed aerodynamics
Get rid of those small gills and put back the reflectors in its place then add a light bar that connects the two taillights and we got the best looking wrx (non STi) to date!
You're right, I mispoke. My apologies. What I should have said is "there aren't enough big UA-camrs championing this car". I've seen people post tons of install videos which is great. But the majority of the other content is coming from actual companies or shops with their shop cars. Sorry!
It's gonna be a hard sell on me. I think it looks great but let me see it in a stock VB and I'll decide. $1800 is still a rough price for me, brother. Give me 10 more years on UA-cam and maybe for the 2035 WRX I'll get one 😂😂
@@BarbWaltersMusic it’s China or Taiwan, that doesn’t mean it’s not great quality it just means it takes up a lot of space in a container and then you have to re-ship it so that’s going to be expensive since every shipment will be freight.
I like this new rear bumper. There is no way I would fit it without matching front and skirts though. So if they devise one, that's gonna be what 5k for a kit? Then you will definitely need to at minimum lower your car, and get something to bring the wheels out a little, or buy new wheels. Part modified bodies without matching parts look awful IMO.
I think it would look better without color matched fenders. I'm betting I will see a white one on this channel soon. Oh man, that white will look like a GTE class Le Mans car.
I really like it, but I also wish they didn’t release this because 1800$ adds that much more towards my build, lol. I was just getting used to the cladding and JDM Muscle releases this?! I’m also not a fan on just doing cosmetic changes, just for the looks. I really like that this is more of what stock should have been, and that it’s not over the top aggressive.
There's a video where the stock VA and VB bumpers are measured, and it showed very little difference in sizing, the cladding on VB makes it look so much more purtrusive than it really is
Giving me “Fast and Furious” vibes. Not for me. I’ll keep the big diaper on my CBS VB and use that $1800 on the midpipe to go full catback and the lip/skirt/diffuser
10 months later... and still waiting for the front bumper to go with it lol. EDIT: Looking at the photo's closely, they actually look like renders :( Hoping to see one on someone's car.

@@HeavyMetalWRX Awesome.. I am VERY interested in fit/finish of it. Also curious on partial carbon for looks, and full carbon for I assume a better finish.

That's a good question! Let me see if I can find out.
Damn. Take my money... It looks like they took the inspiration from the front of the new BRZ front bumper
I wish they wouldn't have paint matched the flares.
I think 1,800 is not too bad. I was guessing 2 grand before you gave the pricing. Ideally I would like it to be 1,500 tho or less
