What a great view out of that wall of windows. I hate painting...the messiness, the cleanup, trying to have straight lines, the anxiety of agreeing on color and sheen choices. When my house was built 20 years ago, we chose one of the neighborhood approved colors. It was supposed to be a taupe color with just a hint of red. When I pulled into into the culdesac after it was painted, I saw a pink house. I was assured by the builder it would tone down when it dried. It never did and neighbors who we met would say "Oh, you live in the pink house". I found a color that matched our original tint (minus the red) and sprayed a large section of wall in the back. It looks good. Ironically, where the old meets the new, the difference is almost imperceptible, so just a little bit of color difference can make a big difference in the outcome. Been waiting for our Florida dry season to do the whole house, but we've had the wetest winter I can remember.

Once this painting job is done, you won’t have to revisit for a long while. The color is warm and inviting, great choice.
