Maybe the mother witch didn't mean it when she said she was going to let Osha go with the Jedi. Maybe she just used her last breath to lie and do a major guilt trip on Sol's head. In fact, there seems to be an undercurrent of guilt throughout these episodes.
There’s still no justification provided for why Torbin self-deleted. I’m beginning to think it was a mis-direct-the writers had him ‘go to live with his ancestors’ so we (the audience) would think the Jedi did something bad 16 years earlier. We were left to believe that it had to have been something truly terrible to warrant Torbin’s 10 years self-imprisonment before ‘saying goodbye to the world’. Turns out, it wasn’t guilt for something bad; rather, it was the world’s WORST case of homesickness. The writers knew we (the audience) would learn that there wasn’t anything justifying Torbin’s actions but they ‘packed him off to Elvis’ anyway. The writing……🤣
It really could have been executed with more thought everything that happened did not even justify Torbin drinking poison. Torbin has to be the worst padawan in history and yet he still became a Jedi master lmao.
It's like they couldn't think of Torbin's motivation and they said let's just write down he's 'homesick' and we'll think of something great later on. Then they forgot and the director went with it. Could have been worse I guess the writer could of said "he misses Doritos". Imagine getting seduced to the dark side because you want to go home and you're bored. "Luke I have your iPhone."
Lol for people who are getting paid millions of dollars to write Star Wars they have to do better than that, its ridiculous. We just want good Star Wars is that too much to ask Disney/Lucasfilm.
There's a possibility that explains how the twins were conceived that no one has mentioned. What if one of the mothers was actually a transsexual male. So when the mother said "I made them," it was just "her" male ego speaking. Of course this doesn't account for the test results of the twins. But there could be any excuse they might use for those. Just brainstorming. I don't really think it's an option they would want fans to believe, but it is pretty creative and it's definitely something that Leslye Headland would secretly contrive. And it's a theory that I would kind of like to have catch on and spread just to throw a wrench into Headland's version of Star Wars.

Osha is the only person that saw Mae start the fire…for everyone else it happened offscreen, correct??? If so, then it turns out when these supposed Jedi were making up their unnecessary lie to tell the Council they luckily stumbled on a nugget of truth when they said “Mae started the fire…” I enjoyed y’all’s video.

As a star wars blerd I am super offended that the main defense of this mess, is that people are racist and dont like black people in star wars. This show is an insult to the fans. Its an insult to the jedi. Its an insult star wars. Its just bad. This is written by someone who doesnt understand Star Wars, and didnt care to learn about star wars, and made up literal fanfiction, and is now trying to convince everyone she is a genius. The writing is pathetic. Its illogical, and lacks depth. The fans are literally having to come up with thier own explanation, to fill in the massive narrative leaps and gaps in the story.
I 100 percent agree @tbirdguy1 fans shouldn't be called racist or any phobes just because they don't like this show. Their is nothing wrong to have something to say in visual media but if that takes priority over the writing and storytelling then whoever it is already failed as a creative. The people who made this show really doesn't understand Star Wars at all and all the interviews they are doing is just confirming that. Its sad when us fans are coming up with things to help it fit the lore and canon we should not have to work that hard on our end lol.
I don't totally agree. This series is not good. No character development. Characters make bizarre decisions without believable motivations. The outline of the story is OK but even that I have issues with.. That said, If the series was up to Andor's level of storytelling, I would be fine with her challenging the audience.
Its ok to challenge any audience if the story/writing is very good and consistent but to make anything with the sole purpose of putting any agenda forward or to piss people off, The Acolyte is what you get. A story with no likable or relatable characters and a plot that has more holes than an ant hill. Disney/Lucasfilm have to do better because we deserve better.

We the audience saw that the witches were not doing anything nefarious and the Jedi who are supposed to be reasonable and open mined could have opened a dialogue and learn more about the culture and tradition of the witches' before jumping to conclusions same thing us humans should practice in real life. We need to stop centering on our anxieties and jumping straight to assumptions that turn into ignorant anger.
