Garrett and Ruth binge watched the build and the dream coming true. Quiet an amazing accomplishment. Really enjoyed the home town sail episode only one thing missing" Garrett's dad " wish he could've enjoyed the accomplishment of his son . He would've been so proud! Keep on keeping on ! Hold fast!
Ruth(ie), thank you for doing such a nice job of putting it all together each week and for so many years and episodes. You consistently deliver something enjoyable to watch, and you raise the bar for others. You truly have a gift for storytelling.
I spent a lot of my Summers in 1962-1964 around the Isthmus and Avalon. My Dad had a 30ft sloop which I learned to sail when I was 15. By 16 I was taking her out to Catalina with my high school buddies. The best times were July 4th. 😊👍
Beautiful. Like the hand rails. I made mine from Koa. I bought years ago (30+). Now they look sweet on the roof of our Shantyboat!! Continue, youse guys are an inspiration!!! 💕💕
You 2 keep getting younger. Don't change a thing. Work, play, have fun and enjoy yourselves. Rewards for the last 7 yrs of sacrifice. To further destinations.
I am so happy for u guys. I started following you years ago. It was amazing adventure. We never met but I’m still happy for u. Have fun be safe and enjoy your hard work
I have to agree Ruthie makes a very pleasing figurehead. I think sports illustrated have just despatched a talent scout to find you for their Christmas edition. Great to see you guys having some fun, you have earned it.
I love your story. When I was a child I read a book called Madons rock by hamond ines. I loved the book it kept me interested. Your story is the same I cannot wait for the next chapters. Love your work and your dream it's a grate story and I can view your dreams and story as it evolves. You are gold keep up your dreams it's inspirational.
I had hoped you 2 wud meet... These 2 young sailor's so remind me of You & Jule's... I bet you guy's had a phenomenal conversation.... Fair winds ✌🏼💗😊❣️
It’s so great to see you two enjoying yourselves, instead of constantly working! It’s certainly been worth every minute, I’m sure & the Boat is just magnificent and draws every eye for miles around. I’m looking forward to more of your adventures…..❤
Such a treat to see you enjoying the fruits of your long labours. Boat looks so grand and stands out from all the others. Hope there's more to come. Sometimes i think you two AND the boat may grow fins and vanish altogether.
''26 miles across the sea Santa Catalina is waiting for me'' We slow danced to this song - as kids in the 1950's We dreamed of Catalina. We still remember.
Ruth, you are so beautiful inside and out.. so positive. Garrett, you are a friggin rock, Boyo. You two are perfect for each other and have come so far. From pouring concrete, to planking hulls and decks, to rigging the rig, you deserve every bit of your happiness. You Have Officially Arrived.. Bravo Zulu!, you are the A-Team... and the best is yet to come... J.B.!!
" how does that feel? I'm peeing, How does that feel, hahahaha, O brother, I guess we're still kids in so many ways eh! lol enjoying the projects along with your sailing adventures.
Thanks for the video. Hydrovane is the best, but someday you may need a storm sail for the Hydrovane. We use 1/4" plywood half the size of the regular vane, steered us in a Force 10 gale off the Bay of Biscay.
i think u guys r livin the dream..she needs a large supply of swim suites 4 the warmer climates u r going 2..love that u took me along n cant wait til nxt one..huggs
Santa Catalina Island is a magical place. I've been going there for 50 years. Cat Harbor, the back side of the ismuth is very peaceful. It's Los Angeles' little slice of heaven.
I say this every week but it's ment from the bottom of my heart. Thanks for sharing your lives with us... I am grateful for the wisdom an lessons shared.. Rediviva is looking beautiful with each passing day as she sails an as you get her read for blue water trip .. 8 have no doubt you both got this... Congratulations on new auto pilot....
You forgot to put hand rails on the inside the cabin, where all the predrilled holes are. Have the bolts do double duty, holding handrails inside and out.
Used to go there and even though it is illegal, many boaters use the bay to slowly dump their brown water. That is why the bay is full of 'crapper snappers'. I don't recoend swimming there.
I'm retired and working on my land yacht i.e. land with shop and plenty isolated, but I use your (and Leo and Stephen's) channels as an impetus to have as high of a quality of finish as I can. Also, were EVERY citizen of California one half as laid back, nice and ethical as you guys, I'd sell it all and move there. I"ve been there and love it, don't get me wrong, but there's enough of what I don't like to drive me away. Still, one can dream.
I hope your fairy tale can be limitless. Thanks for taking "us" along.
We so look forward to seeing you two each week. My wife is 84 and I am 85 and we are reliving our youth through you and, "we're going with you"
i still get all *uwu* during the new intro-so happy and proud to be part of the journey
I very much like the way you narrate, you have a very nice way to choose your words thanks for sharing your joy moments of your voyage.

Ya and the damn woman makes me cry about twice a month!!! :)
Fantastic! The fruits of your dreans and labors coming about!!
You guys rock!
One hand for the boat. One hand for you. Just wanted something to grab on to when traveling up or back on starboard and port. finally got it.
If this is a "Limitless Fairy Tail" I will be there in the morning bringing limitless free beer and limitless smiles. Blessings all.
The Captain and the Mermaid another beautiful video thank you for sharing

2 boats with the same mindset. Build it from the keel up and live your best life on it!
My submarine pulled into Catalina for some R&R. We had a ball on the island. Great memories. USS Permit SSN594
Another groovy video - Love Catalina Island.
I guess a swim ladder is on the to-do list. Thanks for sharing!
There are channels with people and sailboats, but few that are the sailing life like you all.
Hooray on the hydrovane!
Ruthie, I am enjoying your travel prose. More of it if you please.
It’s so great to see you two enjoying yourselves, instead of constantly working! It’s certainly been worth every minute, I’m sure & the Boat is just magnificent and draws every eye for miles around. I’m looking forward to more of your adventures…..❤
Best part is making due with what you have... Keep it up..

Great video! Esp. love the 'off-cuts'.

I am glad you are enjoying the fruits of your labor. The harbor you are anchored in is beautiful.

I love Catalina, it's my favorite spot west of Denver.

AGREE! I think people just forget it is an easy way to say Thank YOU .and help them.
Good tunes Ruthie. Good call on the Hydrovane!
I’m happy for you both…
16:29 privious 'update' typo. LOL Long-time follower - Great episode.
We've been on that mooring several times!
It's 32 degrees this am in Red Bluff, CA! Man that 72 degree water looks refreshing!
Nice job with the grab rails.
Wonderful video, so glad you guys are in the cruising mode and few projects .
When you attaching to the boy just be sure that is not lobster fishing boy😂
Hi from France. Yesterday I saw the first episodes for the second time. What a path you have traveled, what a great job and what a wonderful couple!
spent a weekend on that same Mooring in Two Harbors.
Your joy is infectious. 💙
I never knew the joy from others could warm my heart as much as y'all do...wishing you many many more years of joy😊
You may have to put your splicing skills to use and make a rope ladder the side. Great sailing channel, you have accomplished so much!
Loved this episode especially the continuous upgrades with the upper railings.
When dividing Catalina there is a thermocline about 8 to 10 feet down where the water gets colder.
Very nice poem
Used to go there and even though it is illegal, many boaters use the bay to slowly dump their brown water. That is why the bay is full of 'crapper snappers'. I don't recoend swimming there.
Merci, from Ouistreham Normandie! The Box next to me, is free! S/V Moana
love the videos thanks so much and God bless stay safe.
Missing that warm water now that we’re back up in SF! Go take a dip for us some time as you stay in that gorgeous warmth!
Looking good in a bathing suit--and Ruthie does too.

That’s great! I had been wondering about this. Excited to hear what kind it is and how you do installation.

Just Good
That looks perfect and nice to use the cap nuts inside 😀
Now that's where you want a Rope ladder over the side
You guys are the best! So glad we found your channel!
Well done
